Six Flags Great Adventure has unveiled their August 2018 events, which include Fright Fest zombie, performer, and makeup artist auditions! If you are in the area and want to work at a fun haunted attraction, I highly suggest you put in for a job!

Fright Fest Zombie and Performer Auditions – August 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 25 & 31

Six Flags Great Adventure is seeking individuals with a love for scaring as casting begins for the 2018 Fright Fest season. Auditions take place on select dates and times through August in the Employment Center. The Entertainment Department is looking for street zombies, haunted maze actors and performers with unusual skills. Candidates should apply at www.sixflagsjobs.com prior to the open auditions and come prepared to participate in fun group exercises in front of a panel of judges. Specialty performers should come prepared to showcase their talents. No costumes, props or previous scare experience is required. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and should enter through the employee entrance on Route 537 (1 Six Flags Blvd., Jackson, NJ). Fright Fest Makeup Artist Auditions – August 3, 4, & 10

Six Flags Great Adventure is seeking creative, talented makeup artists with a love for Halloween to transform actors into zombies for the upcoming 2018 Fright Fest season. Artists must be able to use airbrush makeup, work in a fast-paced environment and have open availability on weekends starting in September. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a portfolio and resume, and should enter through the employee entrance on Route 537 (1 Six Flags Blvd., Jackson, NJ). Celebration Concert with TobyMac – August 4

Guests can celebrate at Six Flags August 4 with TobyMac in concert as part of the MIKE AND IKE® Summer Concert Series. TobyMac is a six-time Grammy Award-winning Christian hip-hop artist. The show will take place in the Northern Star Arena at 7:30 p.m. Admission to the concert is free with park admission, Season Pass or active Membership.

The Great Coaster Race – August 5

Six Flags Great Adventure is hosting a 5k/10k race that’s unlike any other on Sunday, August 5. Participants will race like never before, flying through the course based on roller coaster track distance while raising money for a great cause. Caribbean Concert featuring Kes the Band, Alkaline, Bunji Garlin & more – August 12

Island vibes come to Six Flags Great Adventure with a Caribbean concert featuring Kes the Band, Alkaline, Bunji Garlin and more August 12. The show takes place at Northern Star Arena at 6 p.m. Admission to the concert requires a special ticket, available for purchase at www.sixflags.com/greatadventure. This event is not included with park admission, Season Pass or active Membership.

Food & Brew – August 16 through 19

Guests can thrill their taste buds as the Jersey Shore Blues Foundation and Six Flags present an exclusive Food & Brew event August 16 through 19. Guests can indulge in an array of delicious BBQ, Cajun, Mexican, Asian and locally-inspired delights created specifically for Food & Brew, and sample from food trucks presenting sweet and savory options. Festival-goers can pair their meals by choosing from more than 40 ice-cold IPAs, lagers, ciders and other specialty craft seasonal beers. No festival is complete without the rockin’ sounds of live music. Thirteen live bands including Williams Honor, Billy Hector & the Midnight Horns and the Matt O’Ree Band will appear on the Festival Stage in front of THE JOKER from 12 to 8 p.m. Access to the festival is free with park admission, Season Pass or active Membership. Food and beer will be available for purchase.

Praise on the Mountain Concert – August 25

Praise on the Mountain (POTM) is a worship concert for apostolic singers and groups held at Six Flags theme parks. POTM is a non-profit organization established in 1990 at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Calif. to host worship and fellowship, and now the experience travels from the west coast to the east coast. Jacob Sartorious and Special Guests in Concert – August 25

Six Flags will host Jacob Sartorious and the stars of YouTube’s Chicken Girls, Hayden Summerall and Brooke Butler, plus Carson Lueders in concert August 25. Concert will take place in Northern Star Arena at 6 p.m. and is free with theme park admission, Season Pass or active membership. VIP Upgrades and discounted theme park tickets are available for purchase at www.sixflags.com/greatadventure.

New Attraction Announcement – August 30

Stay tuned as Six Flags Great Adventure announces a thrilling, super-sized attraction for 2019 via its website and social media at 5 a.m. Video, photos and a press release will showcase all of the exciting details of this new project, slated to open late Spring 2019.
