Live Game Escape Las Vegas Review

Recently, we got the chance to experience “Peek A Boo”, the latest escape room challenge from the folks at Live Game Escape in Las Vegas, Nevada. Entering the small office space, we were very curious about the challenge that awaited us. We were greeted by some very friendly staff and directed to fill out waivers int he waiting area near the check-in desk. Once we were completed in our writing, they gathered us all together and began to lay out the story of Peek A Boo….

Peek A Boo

  • Difficulty : 4
  • Time: 45mins
  • 2-8 players

“As a team of Supernatural Investigators, you and your partners are hired by the local community to investigate a Daycare that was shut down recently for your Spirit Removal Service. You entered the facility without any of your equipment for an initial screening, then suddenly…BOOM! The door locked shut behind you. It just would not budge at all! Your only option is to put your brains together to get out of the place! Find your way out by clearing out the lingering spirits inside!”

Excited at the story, we all silenced/shutdown our cellphones, and prepared to enter. We were provided with one small flashlight and one walkie-talkie to call for help if needed. We took our supplies and entered the room. It appeared like a normal child’s room. Toys were strewn about and there was a radio which doubled as a countdown timer in one corner of the room. In order to escape, we had to solve a series of logic puzzles – clues were provided by a tablet which controlled a hidden lock. We didn’t officially escape – but only because we were talking so loud that we did not hear when, after we answered everything correctly, the escape key to dropped onto the floor…. So, my advice to you would-be escape artists is to effectively communicate with one another and listen to your environment. Hints can come from anywhere and can be both audio or visual in nature.

Overall, Live Game Escape has created an effective escape room that will challenge and delight. It was creepy and, at the same time, not so intense that those afraid of haunted houses would not be able to visit. It is worth noting that it gets pretty hot in there so be sure to dress accordingly. Each ticket to the Live Game Escape Las Vegas costs $35 dollars, which is well worth the money and in keeping with most escape room challenges – at least, here in Southern California. That was the first escape room we visited in Las Vegas and we want to thank them for having us out!

The Technomancer First Gameplay Trailer

April 20, 2016 – The Technomancer, the sci-fi roleplaying game set on Mars, now has a new Gameplay Trailer that introduces you to the universe and delves into the heart of the deep RPG experience.

You play as an apprentice Technomancer, Zachariah, who represents one of the powerful corporations warring for the most precious resource on the red planet: water. The Technomancers are formidable warriors, harnessing destructive electrical powers that are channeled through their implants. Your adventure will take you on a journey across Mars, where each decision you make bears consequences.

The Technomancer is a roleplaying game at heart and it starts from the character creation screen, where you will customize your appearance and make your first character development decisions. During the 40 hours of quests, you’ll earn precious experience points, that will let you further develop your character through 4 skill trees tied to 3 different combat stances and your technomancer powers. These will help you face the many dangers of Mars: other human survivors and mutants, as well as the numerous hybrid creatures bioengineered by the first human settlers.

You will also learn talents that will be useful during the exploration phases. Along your journey you’ll recruit many companions each with their own story, behaviour, moral code, special quests and talents, that assist you in combat as well as exploration. Steel yourself and your companions with better armor pieces and weapons, and further improve your equipment with the crafting system. All along your journey, you’ll create a unique hero (or anti-hero) and story that reflects the choices, friends and enemies you made.

Embark on a big journey on Mars with the sci-fi RPG The Technomancer, available June 21 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

We are today unveiling its launch trailer that is as spectacular in content as it is in realization. Hang on to a diabolical flying-cam that will bring you from one intense action to another – the likes of which you have rarely seen in a video game. Plunge into a vertiginous sequence-shot, straight to the heart of massive and intense battle between the warships of the Imperial Navy, and the Chaos fleet that have come to Port Maw to wipe out the Imperium’s void base from the star map.

During this incredible two-minute-long sequence-shot, you will find yourself witnessing brutal broadsides from macro-cannons of Imperial battleships, who are cornered by the Chaos armada that pound them with raking fire and boarding actions. Call of Duty: Black Ops III Eclipse Screenshots

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – April 19, 2016 – Call of Duty®: Black Ops III Eclipse, the second DLC pack for the No. 1 top-selling console video game of 2015, Call of Duty®: Black Ops III, is now available on PlayStation 4 with other next-gen platforms to follow*. PS4 gamers can jump right into the action across four new multiplayer maps, as well a new Zombies experience, which takes players to an undead island during the World War II Pacific Theater in a thrilling new chapter of the Origins saga.

“We know that fans are playing the hell out of our current selection of multiplayer and Zombies maps, which is why we have been working so hard to deliver an epic new DLC offering with Eclipse,” said Mark Lamia, Studio Head, Treyarch. “Suit up…it’s time to kick some ass again!”

Players can now dive into Eclipse’s four multiplayer maps: Knockout, Spire, Rift; and Verge, a re-imagining of the Call of Duty®: World at War classic, Banzai.
Knockout: Housed in a traditional Shaolin Temple with a retro twist, Knockout sets the stage for a Kung Fu tournament. This mid-sized map showcases a sharp contrast between the mid-range engagements of the traditional exterior architecture and the tight close-quarters of an eclectic 1970’s styled interior.
Spire: Spire takes multiplayer combat to a futuristic sub-orbital airport terminal set high in the clouds. Multiple levels and open areas promote intense, mid-range combat around a clean, high-tech civilian environment. Watch your step, because one wrong move could send you plummeting back through the stratosphere.

  • Rift: Players can head to the core of a harsh futuristic military complex, set high above an active caldera. Rift funnels and forces tight, intense engagements, where the only way through is forward. Players must utilize the unique core movement opportunities to outsmart and outplay enemies, as they traverse the suspended rail system.
  • Verge: In this re-imagination of the classic Call of Duty: World at War map, Banzai, Verge drops multiplayer combat into the center of a distant post-apocalyptic future, where two warring factions are entrenched in constant battle. Players must take control of the key bridge, fortresses, tunnel systems and waterfalls as they engage in high-speed action through this medium-sized map.
  • Eclipse also introduces the next highly-anticipated Zombies experience: Zetsubou No Shima, the second stop in the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies storyline that spans the four DLC Map Packs for Black Ops III this year. The popular Origins characters continue on their mission to stop the zombie apocalypse. Our heroes find themselves stranded on a remote Pacific island, which is home to the Division 9 facility: a secret biological research lab whose experiments with Element 115 and its effects on human, animal, and plant biology has created horrors beyond belief. Zetsubou No Shima features a foliage rich island map, including new terrifying zombie enemies, a variety of innovative transport mechanics, more devastating traps and classic Zombies side quests that fans will gravitate to.

Eclipse is now available at a discounted rate via the Call of Duty: Black Ops III DLC Season Pass**, which features four DLC Map Packs planned for the year, as part of the discounted bundle offered at a suggested retail price of $49.99. Individual purchase of DLC Map Packs is at a suggested retail price of $15. Call of Duty: Black Ops III is rated M for Mature with Blood and Gore, Drug Reference, Intense Violence and Strong Language.
