Star Conflict Invasion Mode Update and Trailer

star-conflict11

JUNE 27, 2014 — StarGem Inc. and Gaijin Entertainment’s epic free-to-play MMO action game, Star Conflict, gets an exciting update with the new “Invasion Mode”, which is in Closed Beta until the end of summer. In order to access this new mode, Star Conflict players will need to earn one of the following achievements: Strikeforce Prometheus or Universe Conqueror.

Invasion mode has an underlying story in which an alien race disappeared into another dimension of space and time, now they have found a way back but this time they are heading up an invasion. Star Conflict players will be able to team up in parties of four to explore the new ‘Open Space’ area and combine forces as they take on new quests and engage in PvP and PvE battles. These new activities provide new loot, which can also be used to craft unique armament options and protection for their spaceships.

“The inclusion of Invasion Mode into the virtual world of Star Conflict provides a unique and unpredictable game dynamic that introduces more variables to the player’s space combat experience. Not only do players have to worry about PVP attacks in the free to explore environment but alien ships can suddenly appear close to player’s own ship without warning, forcing them to make the lightning quick decision to flee or fight” Said Stanislaw Scorn, Director, Star Gem Inc.

Skillful Star Conflict Players can access the new invasion mode if they have already acquired the Universe Conqueror or Strikeforce Prometheus achievements. Those players who have just joined the game have a full summer to gain the 1000 points required in order to get the Universe Conqueror achievement. Alternatively players looking for quick access can also obtain the Strikeforce Prometheus achievement by purchasing 6000 Galactic Standards in separately or in different packs.

Obtaining the Strikeforce Prometheus achievement will be much easier during this weekend. In honor of the “Invasion Mode” launch, Star Conflict packs and in-game currency will be discounted up to 75% via its online shop (http://star-conflict.com/en/store/) and Steam during the weekend.

DUXFORD, UK, June 26th, 2014 –DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora Available for Pre Purchase Discount!

The Fighter Collection and Eagle Dynamics are happy to announce that DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora is now available for pre purchase from the DCS Store at: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/

The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 is widely regarded as Germany’s best fighter aircraft of World War II. Its appearance in the skies over France in August 1941 was a rude shock to the Allies, as it was clearly superior to any other plane. For nearly a year, the Fw 190 was the unmatched champion of the air war in Europe. The Fw 190 had speed and high altitude performance as its two great assets.

The development of advanced allied fighters resulted in the Fw 190 D–9 variant which first saw service in September 1944. This variant had a larger nose that housed a more powerful Junkers Jumo engine that produced 2,100 hp with the MW-50 boost system. The D-9 was designed for high altitude aerial combat and is a worthy adversary to the P-51D Mustang.

Key Features of the DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora:

• Unmatched flight physics that allow you to truly feel what it’s like to fly this legend.
• Highly detailed, six-degrees-of-freedom (6 DOF) cockpit.
• Interact with cockpit controls with your mouse.
• Accurate Fw 190 D-9 model, squadron markings, and weapons.
• Detailed modelling the Fw 190 D-9 instruments, weapons, engine, radios, fuel, and electrical systems.
• Battle the P-51D Mustang in single and multiplayer games.

On August 5th, 2014, DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora will be available from the DCS e-store for $49.99. Pre Purchase it now for $39.99, a 20% savings!

Razer Micro-Console Announced

Razer_Microconsole_JPG_WhtBg

June 25th, 2014 – SAN FRANCISCO (Google I/O 2014) – Razer™, a provider of connected entertainment devices and software “for gamers, by gamers,” announced today plans to create a Razer micro-console. The new device, powered by Android TV, will stream movies, music and other apps for large-screen entertainment with an emphasis on gaming.

Android TV is an entertainment interface that allows users to find and enjoy content on their televisions. The Razer micro-console can be navigated with a special mobile application that operates from any Android tablet or smartphone. Voice control is built into Android TV, leaving access to entertainment just a few words away.

Enhancing the gaming experience on Android devices is a key focus for Razer. Razer’s experience in designing high-performance gaming systems, controllers, keyboards and mice will contribute beneficially to the device development. Gaming-related software is also an area Razer knows well. With 9 million active users registered on its platform, the company offers a range of applications for communication, performance optimization, and device personalization.

“This is a console of the future,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. “Built on Google’s incredible Android TV platform, the Razer micro-console incorporates not only hardcore and casual gaming, but music, movies and other entertainment and social applications, all on an affordable system.”

The award-winning Razer design team is developing the Razer micro-console. This same team engineered thin and powerful PC systems, including the Razer Blade and Razer Blade Pro laptops, the Razer Edge gaming tablet and, most recently, the modular PC prototype Project Christine.

Razer previously demonstrated success blending hardware and software together with the Razer Nabu smartband, a 2014 “Best of CES” winning device. Over the past two years, Razer won a combined four official “Best of CES” awards at the International Consumer Electronics Show.

The Razer micro-console is scheduled to be released this fall.
