During Nintendo’s E3 2011 press conference they showed a demo reel for third party titles coming to the newly announced console Wii U.  The demo showed off games like Arkham City and Ghost Recon with really impressive graphics.  In an interview later in the evening Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aime told Kotaku that the graphics in the reel were actually from the Xbox 360 and PS3.  The reason for using those images was because the Wii U is “still a year away” and the intent was to focus on the name of the titles offering support.

With how big the announcement is for Nintendo it was nice to see them come out and admit this but it still leaves us wondering what the graphical power will actually look like when the system launches in 2012.
