Electronic Arts has released a new trailer for their upcoming Need for Speed Shift showing off the Renault Megane. The game is due out on September 15th for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and mobile platforms.
Remember the live-action Halo: ODST trailer from the other day? Well, Microsoft and Bungie have released the full-length version for your drooling entertainment! It features a minute of additional footage well-worth the viewing.
While at this year’s Penny Arcade Expo, Activision released eight new screenshots from their upcoming racer: BLUR. BLUR is scheduled to release on November 3rd for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 platforms.

The debut trailer for the upcoming Warship Gunner 2 Portable has been released. WG2P is due out in Japan on the PSP platform later this year. The game looks to feature some really interesting run-and-gun gameplay and the ability to fully customize your warship.
VGChartz is reporting that Sony’s new PS3 Slim has sold roughly 500,000 to 600,000 units, worldwide, in its first week on sale. The Slim features most of the original PS3’s features, but in a much smaller form-factor thanks to a less power-hungry Cell processor.

And the title for best trailer this week keeps getting passed around like a cheap hooker but, this time, I think we have found a winner! Microsoft and Bungie have released a live action trailer for their upcoming HALO ODST which blew my socks right off. As if this was not enough, you can see an extended, two minutes and 30 seconds version of the short on September 7th at 10:30 PM ET/PT on SPIKE TV during Band of Brothers.
Funcom has released a new CGI trailer as well as some concept art for their upcoming MMO, The Secret World. While much of the MMO is under wraps at this point, what we do know is that players will select to join one of three secret organizations at odds with one another and have to fight against strange and otherworldly creatures. In celebration of the first day of the 2009 Penny Arcade Expo, Valve Software has unveiled the next of its Left 4 Dead 2 campaigns. This one, titled ‘Dark Carnival’ will take place, not surprisingly, in a zombie-infested carnival (at least some of the time). While Valve teased us with this campaign recently, with this full reveal we have learned that other new features include the ‘Jockey’ – a special zombie which climbs onto the back of its victim, controlling them as it attacks! Left 4 Dead 2 is scheduled for release on November 17th for the Xbox 360 and PC platforms.

According to LucasArts’ Twitter account, they have launched a new blog for fans to keep up to date on the day to day goings on with the company’s digital titles. ‘The Workshop‘, as it is called, will act as another avenue of developer/public interaction in addition to their already-successful Twitter account and Facebook pages.
