Micro Machines: Mini Challenge Mayhem Launch Trailer

Micro Machines: Mini Challenge Mayhem, the toy car racing and track creation game from WIMO Games in collaboration with global branded entertainment leader Hasbro, swerves into VR and Mixed Reality headsets today for Meta Quest 2 & 3 and SteamVR.

Unbound by the laws of physics, create race tracks that defy gravity and allow Micro Machines cars to perform impossible loop-de-loops, flying jumps, and crash through setpieces for fun destruction…without any of the cleanup.

Engineer these tracks with simple-to-use VR controls either in an entirely virtual space, or bring the tracks into the real world with Mixed Reality on supported headsets. Race cars through tracks on the kitchen table, across the pool table, and around pets. Send cars flying through portals in the bedroom, and out through a portal in the living room!

Play through a campaign mode that combines both track building and racing. Each level presents a new mission: getting a fast time, getting enough stunt points, or causing the most impressive destruction possible.

Build a track that will satisfy these objectives, then pick the right car – that speedster might not be able to rack up destruction points like the monster truck, but it can set fast times. Each completed mission unlocks new cars and parts to upgrade vehicles for faster speeds, more stylish stunts, and even more destruction!

“We are excited to bring a new era of high-torque excitement to Hasbro’s Micro Machines community,” said Dave Rosen, CEO of WIMO Games. “We look forward to seeing the VR track designs that Micro Machines: Mini Challenge Mayhem will enable the passionate creators and engineers inspired by the storied franchise.”

“For over 35 years, Micro Machines have ignited the imaginations of kids, collectors and car enthusiasts which is a testament to the brand’s success and popularity,” said Eugene Evans, SVP Digital Strategy and Licensing at Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro. “As we continue to expand and enhance our digital gaming experiences, we’re thrilled to bring the beloved brand into the world of VR and Mixed Reality. We hope Micro Machines: Mini Challenge Mayhem inspires players to use their imagination and create dream racetracks to take ‘play’ to the next level.”

Micro Machines: Mini Challenge Mayhem releases today, January 4, for Meta Quest 2 & 3 and SteamVR. Our game celebrates the art of parkour, allowing players to showcase their acrobatic skills and creativity.”

Sandbox RPG Dustgrave Shows Stealth System

Publisher Digital Tribe and indie studio Innervoid Interactive announce that their sandbox RPG Dustgrave will have a playable demo on the Steam Next Fest, that will run from February 5-12. The game, that will be released on Steam in 2024, has recently published two new dev diaries in which players can get a grasp of how the world changes due to the players actions as well as have a sneak peek at its stealth system.

The world of Dustgrave will change over time depending on both the actions of the player and the factions that populate it. Settlements and locations are dynamic entities. This means they can be conquered by different factions, see their populations decimated, get destroyed and rebuilt or even infested with zombies. All in all, that ruined settlement you stumble upon at the beginning of the game may, one day, be a rebuilt city where you will have to protect its settlers while doing some construction work. You can read the dev diary here.

Players will always have an option to activate stealth mode to try to sneak their way out of difficult situations. In a game where all NPCs remember what you did to them, it’s fundamental to have the possibility of acting from the shadows to avoid negative consequences. NPCs will be able to notice the player via a cone of view and hearing sounds, but they will also have memory. Don’t you dare trying to sell them goods you just stole from them, or they’ll notice quickly. Of course, there’s also an option to engage in combat while in stealth mode, useful for those that don’t want anybody to notice that their character just killed a bunch of people. You can read the dev diary here.

Six Days in Fallujah Jolan Park Update Trailer

Victura and Highwire Games today released three new missions for first-person tactical shooter Six Days in Fallujah, nearly doubling the content in the game.

Watch the trailer, narrated by those who were there:

In Jolan Amusement Park, your team will aim to secure the open-air park by destroying mortar emplacements hidden throughout the park, while insurgents attack from hidden spaces and tunnels. Beset on all sides by the enemy, long sight-lines, and sketchy cover, you must emerge victorious.

Next, in Objective Virginia, You need to defend “Crazy Horse,” an M1 Abrams tank pushing deeper into the city from insurgents, vehicle-borne IEDs and spotters looking to detonate deadly munitions before you find them.

Finally, in West Manor, an Al Qaeda headquarters riddled with the smell of torture must be secured. As you aim to control the building, insurgents leverage tunnels to escape capture, flank and ambush you as you clear the location and head for the extraction point. Don’t turn your back for a moment in this incredibly tense scenario.

All three maps are available now, with more content and modes coming in 2024.

Six Days in Fallujah is available in Steam Early Access, and on-sale with a 25% discount for a limited time from December 19th, priced at USD 29.99. EUR 29.99 and GBP £24.99. Now featuring seven co-operative, four-player missions, Six Days in Fallujah’s urban maps are generated procedurally, simulating the uncertainty of combat, and offering unlimited replayability.

The most realistic simulation of urban combat to date, Six Days in Fallujah is developed with help from more than 100 Marines and Soldiers who served in the Second Battle of Fallujah, as well as more than two dozen Iraqi civilians and soldiers. Based on true stories from the battle, Six Days requires players to overcome real-world scenarios with their fire team by using real-life military tactics.

In the coming months, additional features and content will be introduced, including:

  • “Go” Command
In 2024, take control of your AI teammates with unique tactical control, drawing inspiration from real-life tactics with control that redefines a genre.

  • Single Player Missions
Specific moments from the second battle of Fallujah from those who were there.

The Second Battle of Fallujah began in November 2004, after Al Qaeda in Iraq seized control of the city of Fallujah. Six months later, Iraq’s prime minister ordered a military operation in which Iraqi soldiers fought alongside American and British forces to retake the city. Within a few days it had become one of the world’s bloodiest battles in half a century.

Six Days in Fallujah recreates real stories from the Second Battle of Fallujah from the perspective of both coalition forces and Iraqi civilians. Beginning development 18 years ago, just months after the battle ended, Six Days in Fallujah was conceived by a Marine who was wounded during the battle.

Six Days in Fallujah is available now in Steam Early Access, and is published by Victura, and developed by Highwire Games, a studio founded by many of the original Halo and Destiny leadership. Six Days in Fallujah will expand its tense, challenging tactical shooter with a full release for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2024.
