Nioh 3 Official Launch Trailer

KOEI TECMO America and developer Team NINJA summon aspiring shoguns to enter the gates of hell and conquer the Crucible in Nioh 3, their new dark samurai action RPG, now available on PlayStation®5 and Windows PC via Steam®. To celebrate, a new action-packed trailer has been released, giving players a taste of the immense challenges they will face against a non-stop array of deadly foes.

In Nioh 3, players take on the role of Tokugawa Takechiyo, poised to become the next shogun during Japan’s prosperous Edo period. In the shadows, Takechiyo’s younger brother, Tokugawa Kunimatsu, is consumed by jealousy towards his sibling. Empowered by a sinister force, he plots to overthrow Takechiyo and leads a horde of yokai, abruptly ending the era of peace and plunging Japan into hell. Guided by the mysterious power of their Guardian Spirit Kusanagi, Takechiyo transcends time to rescue a land in dire straits and become shogun.

The story of Nioh 3 unfolds on a larger scale than ever before in series history. Covering various eras and regions, including Edo Castle, the Totomi region during the Warring States period, the Heian period’s capital city of Kyoto, and, for the first time in the franchise’s history, the Bakumatsu period. Players will be able to freely explore each era as a vast open field featuring beautiful and distinct environments.

Nioh 3 introduces two distinct combat styles, Samurai and Ninja, that players can freely switch between during the heat of battle. The Samurai Style captures Nioh’s foundational, grounded combat experience, while introducing the new Arts Proficiency system to enhance Martial Arts abilities. In addition, the new Deflect mechanic allows players to block enemy attacks at the last moment to turn the tide of battle against deadly adversaries.

In contrast to Samurai Style, Ninja Style excels in agility, enabling players to swiftly dodge and perform aerial attacks while employing various Ninjutsu techniques to attack outside of enemy range. Ninja Style also features the Mist technique, which leaves an afterimage following an attack to momentarily distract enemies, as well as the Evade technique to narrowly avoid enemy strikes. Both techniques will help players outmaneuver foes while delivering devastating swift attacks from behind.

Before launching into the full game, players have the opportunity to hone their skills in the free demo, which includes both solo play and online multiplayer mode for up to three players across both PlayStation®5 and Windows PC via Steam®*. Fans can create their own custom character and dive into the turbulent Warring States period, even testing their abilities in an electrifying boss fight against Jakotsu-baba, with save data carrying over. Players who complete the demo by Feb. 15, 2026, will receive the in-game bonus item Twin-Snake Helmet, which can be used in the complete version of the game**. More details about the demo are available on the official website.

Gothic 1 Remake – Bringing the World to Life Dev Diary

One of the defining traits of the Gothic franchise has always been its living world. A dynamic ecosystem full of creatures, NPCs, and critters that carry out their daily routines, whether the player is watching or not. This self-sustaining environment has long been key to Gothic’s unmistakable atmosphere, turning the Valley of Mines into more than just a backdrop; it’s a breathing, believable place that feels alive.

In the fifth entry of their ongoing Making Of series, the developers at Alkimia Interactive take players behind the scenes to show how this hallmark feature has been faithfully reimagined for the new generation. Every area, landmark, and character has been rebuilt from the ground up, carefully balancing authenticity with fresh detail and modern technology.

Familiar sights like the old monastery ruins or the Tower of Xardas return in stunning new form, helping players navigate and recognize the world without relying on a map – just as in the original game, where players had to find a map before they could use one. This design philosophy remains intact, ensuring exploration still feels rewarding and immersive.

Another major highlight of this Making Of is the expanded armor system. In the classic Gothic, each faction offered light, medium, and heavy armor tiers. The remake goes a step further: players can now customize and modify their armor, both in looks and stats, giving every piece a distinct feel while keeping its faction identity intact.

The Making Of also introduces the new conversation camera system, adding cinematic flair and energy to every dialogue. Whether you’re facing a grumpy guard, a shady trader, or a friendly fellow (a very rare encounter in the Valley of Mines…), interactions now feel more personal and dynamic than ever before — but better see for yourself in Gothic 1 Remake – Making Of #5: Bringing the World to Life, available now on THQ Nordic’s official channels.

Remote Control Announcement Trailer

Weekend Games is excited to announce it is publishing the sci-fi horror typing game Remote Control, coming to PC via Steam in 2026. Developed by Brighton-based studio, Canteen Games, Remote Control is an unsettling experience that pulls players between the corporate world of the TV show Severance and the thrilling tension of Alien: Isolation.

Watch the Remote Control announcement trailer:

A deep-space spacecraft has gone mysteriously silent. The crew is dead, the incident is undocumented and the only way to uncover the truth is by using a series of human “proxies” controlled by you via a terminal in a far-off (and safe) location.

You’ll issue typed commands through the terminal interface, forcibly directing proxies to navigate the ship, investigate objects, and discover the events that led to disaster. Humans have flaws, though, with fear, a desire to live, and being butter-fingers all getting in the way. However, they are unable to completely resist your commands, even if there is sometimes a little pushback…

Drawing inspiration from Alien: Isolation’s sustained dread and the dehumanizing psychological horror of Severance, Remote Control blends typing-driven gameplay that feels reminiscent of classic text-based adventure games, merged with recent hits like Mouthwashing and No, I’m Not a Human. The game is anticipated to be released later this year.

Key Features:

  • How many people does it take to investigate an infested space ship? 12, apparently: You’ll get 12 attempts to discover the truth. Each vessel (human) has unique qualities and traits which can aid or abet your mission. Just remember, their death is permanent.
  • Dark and immersive sci-fi: Step into a classic space horror. Expect a spacecraft drifting through space, a lack of power supply and lighting, and plenty of blood smeared on walls.
  • QWERTY your way to the truth: Every input is via your keyboard as you’ll type “move left” or “turn around” to direct vessels around the ship.
  • It’s just an office job: All the death and gore getting a little much? Take a break, step away from the desk and go hang out by the water cooler. There’s definitely nothing unnerving going around the office, either… right?
  • Psychological and moral tension: Force compliance from unruly vessels, navigate resistance and try not to get too annoyed when Eugene’s crumby fingers struggle to complete an input on the control panel.

HipHopGamer Wlliams and GET MONEY GAMERS Join Mutant Football League 2

Today, Digital Dreams Entertainment Inc. — a studio founded by the freaks behind SSX on Tour, FIFA Street 2, Need for Speed: Pro-Street, and Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes — proudly named the GOAT of the Game himself Gerard “HipHopGamer” Williams, as an ambassador of over-the-top, blood-soaked arcade-style football game, Mutant Football League 2. HipHopGamer and his “GET MONEY GAMERS” squad are now available as a playable team in a free content update for Mutant Football League 2 on consoles and PC.

As the ultimate barrier-breaker who’s fused hip-hop and gaming culture like no one else, Gerard Williams brings even more chaos to Mutant Football League 2’s gridiron. Leading the charge as quarterback, he and his GET MONEY GAMERS squad join the game, complete with Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr., New York community leaders, and members of Williams’ youth outreach initiatives as additional members — making this team as inspiring as it is unstoppable. An exclusive track produced by HipHopGamer himself serves as the team’s anthem, pumping through the arena whenever the GET MONEY GAMERS take the field.

“The moment I met Gerard and learned that the original Mutant League Football held a special place in his heart, I knew that we needed to work together,” said Michael Mendheim, Creative Director of Mutant Football League 2. “His charisma and talent are only matched by his altruistic nature, bringing the love of gaming, education, and hip hop to underserved communities throughout New York and globally online. As an ambassador for Mutant Football League 2, we’re not only excited to have him and the GET MONEY GAMERS crew featured in the game, but for the game to bring fun and opportunity to kids supported by the PlayMakers educational gaming program.”

“The original Mutant League Football is an important game to me, having grown up playing it with my grandmother. And as a big fan of NBA JAM back in the day and that style of crazy arcade sports games that we don’t see anymore, I was like ‘we’re finally back,’” said Gerard Williams. “The explosive gameplay, dirty tricks, environmental damage — Mutant Football League 2 is so wild that I had to be a part of it, and I’m so thankful to be in the game.”
