Solo developer Made From Strings and publisher Dionous Games have today released a new developer diary delving into the audio design for their “Agatha Christie In Space” murder mystery Murder On Space Station 52, coming to PC on September 25th and PlayStation, Xbox and Switch at a later date. Following up on the last dev diary focusing on the game’s art, in the video developer Christopher Mathes talks about why he made the unusual decision to create a blues and jazz inspired soundtrack for a sci-fi setting, gives us an insight into how he made the music, tells the story behind the game’s voice acting, and more.

In Murder On Space Station 52, you play as Edward Locke. The new repairman finds himself trapped on a strange space station filled with even stranger people, including one with a penchant for leaving dead bodies lying around with keys in their wounds. Edward soon finds himself filling out a murder board with suspects as he tries to draw connections and figure out which of them is the Keychain Killer.

The game’s murder mystery investigation draws on classic adventure game mechanics with its point and click puzzles, while also offering a modern touch thanks to in-game currency that you earn as you explore, allowing you to customise your apartment and fill an aquarium with an array of strange and curious creatures. Eureka Entertainment Announces Super Spies and Secret Lies LE Set

Eureka Entertainment announces the release Super Spies and Secret Lies, three undercover classics from Shaw Brothers, presented in their worldwide debuts on Blu-ray. Available as part of the Eureka Classics range on 19 November 2024 in North America. The Limited Edition release of 2000 copies (per territory) will exclusively feature an O-card slipcase, and a collector’s booklet.

Following the enormous international success of Dr. No and From Russia with Love, Bondmania swept the globe and initiated a cycle of Bondsploitation movies. Studios all over the world sought to capitalize on James Bond and the concept of the super-spy – including Hong Kong’s venerable Shaw Brothers, who began producing tales of intrigue, espionage, and grand theft in the mid-1960s. Eureka Classics presents three of their best in this special-edition set: The Golden Buddha, Angel with the Iron Fists and The Singing Thief.

In The Golden Buddha, businessman Paul (Paul Chang Chung, Police Story) finds himself in the crosshairs of the Skeleton Gang after he picks up the wrong briefcase on a flight to Singapore – one containing a small golden Buddha that might just play a part in a vast criminal conspiracy. In Angel with the Iron Fists, a mysterious woman (Lily Ho, Lady with a Sword) arrives in Hong Kong carrying a cache of stolen diamonds and quickly becomes embroiled with the infamous Devil Girl’s Gang. Finally, in The Singing Thief, a master cat burglar (Jimmy Lin Chong, Tropicana Interlude) makes the decision to go straight and pursue a new career as a singer – that is, at least, until he becomes a suspect in a series of jewel heists.

Directed by studio regulars Lo Wei (The Big Boss) and Chang Cheh (The One-Armed Swordsman), The Golden Buddha, Angel with the Iron Fists and The Singing Thief filter a craze for films centred on super-spies and master criminals through the inimitable style of the Shaw Brothers Studio. All three films are presented on Blu-ray for the first time from HD masters supplied by Celestial Pictures.

Mike Morhaime’s Dreamhaven to Publish Lynked: Banner of the Spark

Dreamhaven® today announced its debut publishing partnership, which will help bring Lynked: Banner of the Spark™, the first game from FuzzyBot, to players worldwide. Lynked will enter Steam® Early Access on October 22 for $24.99 and is available to wishlist now on Steam. It will be released in English, French, German, Italian, European Spanish, Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Set in a world of robots, Lynked gives each player their own town, which they’ll expand by going on missions to collect necessary resources and blueprints—and rescue Unibot allies—in enemy territory. As challenges increase, the player’s town will be the key to getting the upper hand in combat. Players will pair up with their robot friends to craft, upgrade, and build new armaments that will improve survivability on subsequent runs—in addition to providing fun options for personalizing their home. Up to five additional players can help tend to the host player’s town, and players can venture out on missions individually or in teams of up to three as they confront the Combot menace threatening the world.

Train Sim World 5 Out Now

The Rails Are Yours from today! Train Sim World 5 releases on PC, PlayStation and Xbox platforms as well as Game Pass inclusion from day one. This latest iteration in the franchise comes with a host of added gameplay features, allowing players to explore and operate trains like never before!

Conductor Mode, a feature long requested by players and trialled in two back catalogue routes, now features as a full game mode in the three core routes, giving players the chance to check tickets, operate doors and keep bags clear of the aisles whilst the AI does all the driving. Route Hopping, available to those with selected routes in their collection, allows for seamless transition between routes that share a common location, resulting in gameplay sessions that can last up to 200 miles across three route Add-ons.

Making use of these features and Train Sim World’s core driving experience are the three new city-centric routes covering London, Los Angeles and Frankfurt. Germany’s high-speed, tilting ICE-T is added to the fleet for the first time and joins America’s biofuel powered Metrolink MP36PH-3C. Britain railfans will rejoice at the inclusion of the West Coast Main Line and Deluxe Edition players can tilt their way through Wembley, Watford and down to Milton Keynes in the innovative, iconic Avanti West Coast Pendolino.

REMNANT II The Warden Archetype Reveal Trailer

One of the biggest new additions in REMNANT II’s final DLC, The Dark Horizon, is a brand-new Archetype called the Warden. When it comes to enhancing any playstyle, this new Archetype and its secret weapon – the Drone – will have you covered. The fully automated drone can shield, heal, or even attack enemies, making it the perfect partner to have on the battlefield. This new Archetype will be available in The Dark Horizon DLC for REMNANT II, launching on September 24 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Here’s a list of some of the new Archetype’s abilities:

  • Prime Perk: Dynamic – The Prime Perk, Dynamic, allows players to automatically regenerate Shield and greatly increase the base N’Erudian Energy Reserve for the Drone and Turret. For those looking to use Dual Archetypes with the Warden, the Engineer is a perfect Archetype to pair it up with, as the Turret will get a nice energy boost from this Prime Perk.
  • Skill: Shield Drone – The Warden truly shines through the use of their secret weapon – the Drone. Players can choose from three variants for it: Shield, Heal, and Combat. For the Shield Drone, while energized, the Drone will constantly grant Shield to the selected ally until they are at 100 percent and will reduce all incoming damage by a small amount.
  • Skill: Heal Drone – The Warden can deploy a Heal Drone that constantly heals an ally until their health is fully restored, and passively, it grants a Relic Use Speed buff. If the goal is to keep yourself or an ally alive while boosting Relic functionality, then the Healing Drone is perfect.
  • Skill: Combat Drone – Last but not least, when it’s time to go all out and guns blazing, there’s the Combat Drone. Designed to be a constant offensive presence, an energized Combat Drone attacks any threat near the selected ally.
  • Archetype Trait: Barrier – To round out the Warden’s kit, there’s the Archetype Trait: Barrier. This unique trait increases the effectiveness of Shields the Warden applies, which means that even when providing protection to an ally, the player will also receive the benefit. When making a Shield build, Barrier is a must.

REMNANT II: The Dark Horizon arrives on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 24 for $9.99. The Dark Horizon marks the final pack in the DLC Bundle for REMNANT II, consisting of three DLC packs. With the base game and all three DLC packs, fans will be able to have the complete REMNANT II experience! Best known as a key contributor to the Hong Kong New Wave as the director of My Heart is That Eternal Rose and the editor of Wong Kar-wai’s Days of Being Wild and Ashes of Time, Patrick Tam began his filmmaking career with The Sword: a love letter to the wuxia genre starring Adam Cheng (Zu Warriors from the Magic Mountain).

Believing that he is in possession of a cursed blade, the legendary swordsman Hua Qian Shu (Tien Feng, King Boxer) has retreated from the martial arts world to live in peaceful seclusion. However, his retirement has done nothing to dampen his reputation; a young warrior, Li Mak-jan (Cheng), wishes to challenge the master in order to test his own sword-fighting skill. But as Li searches for the reclusive Hua Qian Shu so that he might face him in combat, he finds himself entangled with old lovers and new rivals. Soon, it becomes apparent that the old master’s sword really might be cursed – and will, perhaps, bring nothing but tragedy to those who seek to wield it.

After a period of dormancy, wuxia films resurged in the 1980s as the likes of Duel to the Death, Bastard Swordsman and Tsui Hark’s Zu Warriors from the Magic Mountain rejected the realist approach adopted by kung fu cinema in the previous decade. Eureka Classics is proud to present Patrick Tam’s The Sword – one of the earliest and best pictures to emerge from this wuxia revival – on Blu-ray from a brand new 2K restoration.
