Drug Dealer Simulator 2 is coming to PlayStation 5

Drug Dealer Simulator 2 (DDS2), the sequel to a hit indie game available on PC, is coming to PlayStation 5. The gangster career simulator – from street dealer to cartel boss – will offer solo or online co-op gameplay. Xbox release is planned for a later time. Moreover, the first Drug Dealer Simulator will soon be released on Xbox, and a little later on the PlayStation as well.

Drug Dealer Simulator 2 is a first-person game in which you manage a growing criminal organization: from producing various “products”, to distributing them, to expanding a net of employees, connections, and bases.

The PlayStation 5 version of the game will contain all the PC updates, including the just-released major update with lab technicians, advanced drug mixing, overdose mechanic, and more. See it on Steam.

Cities: Skylines Celebrates 10 Years of Building Excitement

Paradox Interactive, a developer and publisher of games that last a lifetime, today celebrates the 10th anniversary of Cities: Skylines, the award-winning city-building management game series with over 45 million players. Originally released for PC platforms on March 10, 2015, Cities: Skylines was developed by Finnish studio Colossal Order and quickly became Paradox’s fastest-selling game, had subsequent releases on several consoles, and continued to grow with over 60 different expansions and content packs and a full sequel in 2023. The series became a global phenomenon, inspiring players to seek careers in urban planning, and has even been used to help design neighborhoods and districts in real-world cities.

Celebrate the milestone with an Anniversary Trailer here:

“We founded Colossal Order with the dream of creating a city-builder that would bring more freedom and creativity to the cities players can build,” said Mariina Hallikainen, CEO of Colossal Order. “With Cities: Skylines, that dream not only came true, but thanks to the continued support of our amazing fans, we had the opportunity to keep growing and building this game and community many years after its release and take it even further than anticipated. It’s been an incredible journey that’s taught us so much — and still has more to teach — and we are forever grateful to everyone who made it possible and who joined us along the way.”

To celebrate a decade of fun and creativity, Paradox today announced several forthcoming releases and free updates coming throughout March 2025 to both Cities: Skylines and Cities: Skylines II. On March 18, 2025, Cities: Skylines II players will receive the free Anniversary patch, featuring a selection of new in-game parks and buildings themed around celebrating the series’ birthday. In addition, three Creator Packs and three Radio Stations will be released the same day, which will be available for sale individually or as a bundle, and which will also be added to the Ultimate Edition of Cities: Skylines II, becoming available for download on March 18 at no additional cost to owners of that edition. Those packs will include:

  • Dragon Gate, a content pack inspired by Chinese architecture and “market quarter” locations
  • Leisure Venues, including new entertainment options, parks, and leisure locations
  • Mediterranean Heritage, which adds buildings inspired by 15th-19th century architecture from Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Southern France
  • Atmospheric Piano, Jade Road, and Feelgood Funk Radio Stations

The following week, on March 25, 2025, a separate free Anniversary patch will be added to the original Cities: Skylines in celebration of its decade of community support. This patch will add dynamic parks to the game, which change in appearance to reflect the different expansions each player has added to their game, to give a personalized tribute to players’ unique experiences with Cities: Skylines. Two Creator Packs and one Radio Station will also be released on March 25, including:

  • Emerging Downtown, a pack focused on adding a variety of building sizes and construction styles to cities’ busy downtown areas
  • Countryside, adding a selection of rural charm from small-town libraries and food markets to quaint, humble town halls
  • The Harvest Harmony Radio Station, a country-inspired selection of musical tracks to fit any rural construction project

The entire Cities: Skylines series will also be featured in a number of promotions throughout the month of March, including a Free-to-Play weekend on Steam during March 20-24. A new subscription service will become available starting on March 13, 2025, allowing players to add the entire 65+ DLC catalog to their game for a single monthly subscription fee, and for existing players a special “completion offer” to fill out their DLC collection will be available.

The Last Caretaker Gameplay Demo Videos Released

Following a reveal at IGN Fan Fest, industry veteran-led gaming studio Channel37 has released the first gameplay capture of its upcoming seafaring first-person survival action-adventure game, The Last Caretaker.

Set in a world of endless oceans where only remnants of humanity remain, the first gameplay footage of The Last Caretaker showcases the game’s opening area: a derelict docking station where the titular robotic protagonist suddenly awakes from dormancy. Channel37 Community Manager Jack Pattillo (formerly of Rooster Teeth) provides commentary for the footage, introducing some of the game’s gameplay systems and speaking to the narrative themes that players will experience.

Starting on March 12, Channel37 Community Manager Jack Pattillo will host weekly livestreams every Wednesday at 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 5PM GMT on the Channel37 Twitch account, offering viewers behind-the-scenes commentary, new footage, and gameplay details of The Last Caretaker before its launch on PC later this summer.

“This is my kind of game through and through,” said Channel37 community manager Jack Pattillo. “A deep mystery, survival mechanics that make you think, and real choices that shape how you play. Deciding whether to burn fuel for survival or use it as a weapon for example — these are the moments that make gameplay exciting. It’s the kind of game that keeps you on your toes, and I can’t wait to show more.”

Following the reveal of The Last Caretaker, Antti Ilvessuo, co-founder of Channel37, emphasized just how much more is still to come:

“What Jack described is just a fraction of a fraction of what players can expect in The Last Caretaker. More systems, more resources, more fabrication, more weapons, more enemies — exploration above and below the sea. Human seeds, the Hall of Humanity, rockets, and the desperate fight to keep the mission alive. The list goes on … and there’s more to come!”

Ilvessuo added, “Wishlist now!”

Rue Valley Praised by Disco Elysium Creators – Demo Available Now

Recently, publisher Owlcat Games, together with Emotion Spark Studio – the indie developer behind the narrative RPG Rue Valley – shared insights into the game’s development on the Human Can Opener Podcast. Praised by Disco Elysium creators Robert Kurvitz and Aleksander Rostov, Rue Valley is set to launch later this year, with a demo available now on Steam.

Starting development in 2020 with a team of four, Rue Valley draws inspiration from titles like Outer Wilds and Disco Elysium. The game features time-loop mechanics, where time progresses only through player interaction, and NPCs have their own unique worldviews that breathe life into the game. The personality system allows players to shape their character’s traits, ensuring each playthrough is unique.

The game’s hand-drawn art style, inspired by stop-motion and the “Spider-Verse” films, combines semi-3D visuals with comic-book aesthetics. Years of experimentation went into perfecting the lighting, textures, and animations.

A pivotal moment in development came when Disco Elysium creators Robert Kurvitz, Aleksander Rostov, and Helen Hindpere visited Belgrade and played the Rue Valley demo. Their insights not only validated the team’s creative vision but also provided invaluable feedback that helped refine its core elements.

Kurvitz, renowned for his groundbreaking work in Disco Elysium and his novel Sacred and Terrible Air, was immediately drawn to the game’s isometric art style and dialogue system. At one particularly challenging moment in gameplay, his genuine excitement upon overcoming it electrified the Emotion Spark team, reinforcing their belief in the game’s depth and engagement.

Hindpere, playing the demo separately, described Rue Valley as both familiar and refreshingly original. She recognized similarities in storytelling tools and dialogue mechanics but emphasized that the game carves its own path.

Rostov, the visionary art director of Disco Elysium, delved into the visual identity of Rue Valley. During a follow-up visit to the studio, he engaged in an in-depth discussion about the art style, even suggesting thoughtful improvements like adding character shadows casting on themselves, which left a lasting impression on the team.

Their feedback served as both encouragement and inspiration, reaffirming Rue Valley’s potential as a bold and emotionally complex narrative RPG.

Marko Smiljanic, Creative Director at Emotion Spark, described the experience as surreal. He mentioned that meeting the creators of Disco Elysium—a game that heavily inspired Rue Valley—was both humbling and motivating. Hearing their feedback and seeing them enjoy the game was a dream come true for the team.

For players eager to experience Rue Valley, a free demo version is now available on Steam. The demo offers a glimpse into the game’s unique mechanics, art style, and narrative depth, allowing players to explore the world and systems that have already captivated industry veterans.

Chernobylite 2 Now in Early Access – Official Story Trailer

Chernobylite 2 is our dream project. After more than 10 years of various activities related to Chornobyl and dozens of visits to this place, we can finally share the massive part of what we consider the ultimate Chornobyl experience. What started with VR documentaries and low-scale indie projects has become a fully-fledged RPG game, playable in the open world, with hundreds of ways to craft your character and story.

Get the game from Steam: (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2075100/Chernobylite_2_Exclusion_Zone/) for 34.99$ with a 10% discount offer, that ends March 20th, and join the developers’ server on Discord: (https://discord.com/invite/mehRmzY).

Entering the world of Chernobylite 2, even in Early Access, you can expect to double or triple the time spent with the first game – not just because the Zone itself is about 20 times bigger this time but also thanks to the number of quests, events, encounters, and gameplay mechanics. On top of it, you can play from two different perspectives – first person or third person, which is possible thanks to the success of our recently finished Kickstarter campaign.

Our goal was to deliver the Early Access version, which is very advanced and polished in most parts. According to many closed playtests and our demo reception, most of the gameplay mechanics and big chunks of the content are already polished. Early Access contains about 30-40% of the final scope of the world and story. Most weapons and players’ equipment parts are already present in the game as lootable elements.

We believe that Chernobylite 2, similar to the first Chernobylite, will be a much better game, thanks to its development in Early Access. We have already seen that constant feedback from our community allows us to adapt our vision to players’ needs, and for a big RPG game, the number of adjustments we can make is huge. We estimate the game will stay in Early Access for 6-10 months. This is the time required to let your feedback influence a project of this scale and to validate together changes made during Early Access.
