Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown Announcement Trailer

Cowabunga! Strange Scaffold is proud to unveil Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown, the first-ever turn-based TMNT game from the developer behind I Am Your Beast, El Paso, Elsewhere, and more.

Developed by Strange Scaffold, and in partnership with Paramount Game Studios, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown is a kinetic turn-based beat-em-up that mashes together the cerebral play of tactics games with the high-flying action that fans love about TMNT.

Announcement Trailer:

Play as each of the four iconic Turtles — Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo — and take the fight to the nefarious Foot Clan, among other iconic villains. Brawl it out in mutating levels, from the rooftops to the sewers, as the turtles confront the rise of a dangerous new leader. Each playable Turtle has their own mini-campaign, where you wield unique movesets and utilize super moves to turn the tide against opponents in strategic, turn-based battles.

Perfect for quick-play sessions that feel meaningful, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown’s fast-paced encounters only take minutes to complete. Eventually, players progress toward a dramatic finale, in which the Turtles must unite against evil forces.

“Building a truly powerful licensed game requires a deep respect for the source material, love for the fans, and a willingness to challenge tentpoles of the universe to create something that both surprises and delights,” said Xalavier Nelson Jr., founder of Strange Scaffold. “Bringing that kind of experience to life requires an equally powerful relationship – so I will be forever grateful to Doug Rosen and the team at Paramount for their collaboration, and putting their trust in our team to make an original take on the world that soars. I get to make a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game where the very first lines of dialogue establish that Shredder and Splinter are dead. Who else can say that?”

“Working with Xalavier Nelson Jr. and his team at Strange Scaffold has been an incredible experience,” said Doug Rosen, SVP, Games & Emerging Media, Paramount. “From our first conversation, it was clear Xalavier’s vision for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown would exceed our expectations, and his approach to bringing fans into the creative process is perfect for a beloved, multi-generational brand like TMNT. We really look forward to being able to share this with gamers everywhere next year.”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown launches in 2025 on PC through Steam. For more information, follow Strange Scaffold on X.

The Alters Demo Out Now

From the creators of the critically acclaimed This War of Mine, The Alters invites players into an intense sci-fi survival challenge—one that Jan can’t face alone. Console players can dive into the beginning of Jan’s journey right now with a demo available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The full game, with the newest trailer aired during today’s PC Gaming Show Most Wanted, arrives on consoles and PC in 2025.

The Alters aren’t just workers—they’re individuals with their own skills, emotions, and motivations. While essential for keeping the base functional, crafting tools, and mining resources, their distinct personalities can spark tension. Despite their differences, they share a common goal: survive, escape, and rely only on themselves.

The Alters will be released in 2025 for PCs and consoles. It will also launch on PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass.

The Thing: Remastered Out Now

Today, during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted livestream, Nightdive Studios — renowned video game remaster developer and subsidiary of Atari®, one of the world’s most iconic consumer brands and interactive entertainment producers — announced the immediate digital release of The Thing: Remastered on Windows PC, PlayStation® 4|5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and the game’s availability to stream in the cloud for NVIDIA GeForce NOW members.

Created in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, The Thing: Remastered is a faithful HD restoration of the cult-classic 2002 third-person survival horror shooter game inspired by Universal Pictures’ genre-defining 1982 film, The Thing.

Where the film ends, a new terror begins.

Nightdive Studios, with Universal Products & Experiences, has upgraded this horrifying classic for the modern era through its proprietary KEX Engine for play on current-generation gaming devices up to a 4K resolution at 120FPS. Improvements to character models, textures, and animations have been hand-crafted by Nightdive Studios, with the implementation of advanced 3D rendering for updated lighting and atmospheric effects. The result is a suspenseful and disgustingly detailed remaster that reanimates the thrilling game for modern audiences.

“In keeping true to the spirit of one of the most iconic alien organisms in pop culture, The Thing: Remastered has emerged when you’d have least expected it,” said Larry Kuperman, Nightdive Studios’ Director of Business Development. “For the whole Nightdive crew, it has been an honor working with Universal and members of the original development team to not only remaster The Thing video game but deliver on the original vision for the game. We hope fans worldwide enjoy their return to Outpost #31.”

In the frozen arctic tundra, a mysterious shape-shifting alien has wiped out the crew of the U.S. Outpost #31 research facility. In The Thing: Remastered, players step into the boots of Captain J.F. Blake, the leader of a United States Army Special Forces rescue team sent to investigate the blood-curdling events that transpired in the original The Thing film. Trapped by the elements and at risk of infection by a horrific entity, Blake must keep his squad together to survive by gaining their trust and ensuring that their fear and paranoia don’t get the best of them… or himself.

The Thing: Remastered Key Features:

  • Return to U.S. Outpost #31: Continue the story of The Thing and face off against terrifying monsters, from scuttling head-spiders and human-like walkers to gigantic multi-tentacled level bosses
  • Who Goes There?: Command a squad of up to four NPCs from Soldier, Medic, and Engineer character classes through the game’s 11 frightening levels
  • The Warmest Place to Hide: Someone in your squad may not be who they appear to be. The shape-shifting alien hides inside an imitation, so keep a watchful eye
  • Don’t Lose It: Gain the trust of your squad members and minimize their fear levels lest they become defiant or, worse, succumb to paranoia
  • Ultimate Alien Terror: Upgraded models, textures, and animations hand-crafted by Nightdive, plus enhanced lighting and atmospheric effects
  • Stunning Visuals: Up to 4K 120FPS visuals on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S
  • Checkmate: Trophies and Achievements on Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles
