Battlefleet Gothic: Armada Space Marines Fleet Screenshots

June 9, 2016 – Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, the RTS videogame adaptation of Games Workshop’s classic tabletop game by Tindalos Interactive, showcases the upcoming Space Marine fleet with new images! The Space Marine fleet will be available on June 21, and will be playable in the multiplayer modes of Battlefleet Gothic.

As announced for several months, the Space Marines faction – as well as the Tau faction, currently under development – is free to all Early Adopters of the game on Steam. The Early Adopter offer applies to all Steam pre-purchase owners and people who buy the game during the first two months of the game’s release – untilJune 21. Players now only have 12 days left to purchase their Early Adopters Edition of the game and receive for free the Space Marines and the Tau factions. Players who will purchase Battlefleet Gothic: Armada after June 21 will be able to purchase the Space Marines and The Tau as DLCs.

The Space Marines are the greatest of humanity’s warriors, fierce warriors that have been subjected to intense training, genetic modification, and psycho-conditioning. Their fleets are experts at close-ranged battles, sporting well-armoured ships and specialize in aggressive boarding techniques. In addition, they have access to two unique faction traits which make them immune to insubordination mechanics and give them the ability to prioritize their attacks on different subsystems when boarding.

The Space Marines DLC includes 5 different Space Marine chapters including the Ultramarines, the Imperial Fists and the Blood Angels. Today’s images show off the Dark Angels and the Space Wolves.

The secretive Dark Angels hold traditions and rituals that date back to the earliest days of the Imperium – they were the first Legion, and one of the most powerful. Every single Dark Angel wishes atonement for a great sin their brothers committed long ago on their homeworld, Caliban. These monastic Space Marines have only a single goal: To eliminate the Fallen Angels, the Dark Angels that have given in to the temptations of Chaos during the Horus Heresy.

Space Wolves are savage. They accept who they are, fierce warriors from the land of Fenris, proud of their anti-authoritarian ways. A mutation in their gene-seed makes Space Wolves who bear the “Curse of the Wulfen” transform into wolf-like mutants.

More info about the Ultramarines, the Imperial Fists and the Blood Angels will be communicated in the coming days.

Operation Lionclaws XV After Action Report (Airsoft)

I sat there, wearing a full plate carrier and combat belt with an additional M72 LAW airsoft rocket launcher strapped to my back, crammed into the back of an M35 “Deuce and a half” transport truck along with 30 other players of the 2nd platoon, Alpha side QRF. The QRF, or “Quick Reaction Force”, was meant to be the mobile infantry of the Alpha side. Another transport pulled next to us, filling the covered truck bed with the acrid smell of diesel exhaust. With so many of us crammed up next to one another, one could barely see the opening of the canvas cover at the aft section of the truck. If I were claustrophobic, I might have had a panic attack at that moment, which seemed to be made of hours instead of a few minutes. Finally, the truck blasted off towards our objective and began what would be roughly six to seven hours of intense airsoft gameplay over the course of the day.

After disembarking from the transport, we found ourselves at the Alpha side HQ and our unit, 2nd platoon – squad 1 formed up for a quick briefing. Our squad leader conferred with the platoon commander then returned. We were to capture and hold the enemy helipad to gain points for our team. On our maps, it looked like it would be quite the push, so our squad prepared for the worst. “Game On” was called across the referee radios and squads began to deploy. As we were about to move out, the platoon leader came up and spoke with our squad leader – plans changed immediately and, before I knew it, we were running back to the transport and climbing into the cargo bed. As it turned out, we were instead going to use our mobile/mechanized ability for the best and deploy right near the enemy helipad to gain control of it. Our transport rocketed towards the objective and, upon reaching it, slammed on its brakes. We jumped out and took cover at the nearest building. We were accompanied by two or three other squads from the 2nd platoon  and, after a quick huddle, deployed into the helipad area.

The terrain was of the high desert variety, with scrub brush all around. In addition, the buildings comprising the AO are abandoned and rundown, with plenty of dangers lurking about. Broken glass, snakes, holes in multi-level floors, exposed nails. One must be ever-vigilant while at Operation Lionclaws. Our squad began pushing up around the helipad area, clearing the buildings to the West. The other two squads were covering buildings on the opposite side of the pad and the order was given to hold and guard. There was no enemy opposition at all – their helipad completely un-defended. Now we just had to hold the area for 20 minutes to simulate capturing/destroying it.

oplionclaws-xv-3

We started hearing other squads yelling out contacts and picked up our visual scanning. From the North, it looked like three enemy squads had gotten wise to our actions and began coming South to retake the helipad. Sticking to the buildings, getting close enough to fire on them was difficult, as airsoft guns don’t have the greatest range (most get around 100 to 150 feet, semi-accurately). The airsoft battle went on for about ten minutes and it looked like the enemy was no more.

Our squad, still posted up in some buildings, began to hear what sounded like a heavy vehicle drawing near. We took cover to stay out of sight and waited. I pulled out my rocket launcher and loaded up a foam rocket and a CO2 cartridge, which serves as propellant. The sound kept getting louder, but we were going to remain hidden for as long as possible to maintain the element of surprise. I drew up the launcher and aimed it in the direction of the large busted out window. An enemy Humvee crept by, its gunner manning a turret on top and scanning different directions. Then something really amazing happened – it kept driving, right out of the helipad area. They didn’t even know we were in control of it and must not have been on comms with the enemy force we took out. The helipad was ours, and we gained that objective for our team. This was all just in the first hour of play….

Operation Lionclaws XV was a physically demanding, intense, and fun airsoft game with so many ups and downs, plot-twists, etc that I could write for days about it. Joining the game isn’t cheap, with tickets costing $190 for players never having taken part in a Lionclaws event before, but it was well worth it for the amount of enjoyment everyone seemed to be having. Operation Lionclaws hosts a lot of games throughout the year all across the country – you can check them out at the official website of the game series.

New Screenshots from The Surge

May 25, 2016 – The Surge is the new sci-fi Action RPG from developer Deck 13, set in the near-future. Play as a CREO factory employee Warren, equipped with a highly advanced mechanical exoskeleton designed to assist in heavy industrial labour. Start your journey as a new CREO applicant, in a massive international company dedicated to repairing the atmosphere and addressing climate control. Soon, danger rears its ugly head, and you will have to upgrade your exoskeleton to fight and survive.

The Surge’s combat system is fast-paced, tactical, and brutal, with an innovative limb targeting system enabling you to attack and cut off specific limbs, farming materials to craft upgrades for your exo-suit. Some enemies will have less armour on their legs or their arms, making for an easy kill, but poor loot! You have to decide if you want to go for the easy kill, or instead opt for modules and crafting materials that will give you a combative edge.

The screenshots revealed today show off some of the security forces you’ll be facing in your adventure. They use the same exo-suit technology as you but have tools built for combat, making them incredibly deadly foes. In The Surge, you will not just be facing opponents your own size; towering mechanical enemies armed to the teeth are ready to face against you.

The Surge will be present at E3 2016 in Los Angeles on June 14-16.

New Screenshots from Vampyr

May 24, 2016 – Vampyr, the new action-RPG from acclaimed game-development studio DontNod, releases new images today depicting the duality of the central character. Set in London, 1918, Vampyr promises to offer a unique and deeply immersive experience, and a strong and engaging narrative steeped in vampire mythology.

In Vampyr, players take control of Dr. Jonathan Reid, a newly formed vampire who is torn between the Hippocratic Oath he swore as a doctor, and the bloodthirsty need to kill due to the monster within. While London suffers from the Spanish Flu pandemic, your first reflex as a doctor would be to help and heal people… but it will be impossible for you to ignore your inner, violent, nature of Vampyr – first and foremost, you are a lethal predator.

As a Vampyr, you have to accept your need to sacrifice people to survive. Feeding on people will be the basis of your character progression, as it will allow you to learn supernatural Vampyr powers and talents that will be useful in persuasion, locomotion, survivability, and combat. So the dilemma that’s offered to you isn’t “should I kill people?” but more “who will I kill”? And this decision won’t be without consequences. Killing one person will create a rippling effect on London’s ecosystem and you will have to live with both the repercussions and their death on your conscience. Decide to feed on a renowned doctor from the city hospital, and progressively see the health condition of the patients drop.

Every life saved and every life taken by Reid will have deadly ramifications to London and the people around it. When Vampyr releases in 2017, players will be asked: how far are you ready to go?

Vampyr will be present at E3 2016 in Los Angeles on June 14-16.

In this new edition, the Pro Cyclist Mode, which lets you play as a young cyclist whom you guide to the top, is back with more interactions between you, your teammates and your manager. The Career mode provides a more intense challenge thanks to a new objective and sponsor system. This 2016 edition is more realistic, thanks to its graphical improvements, new sceneries, clearer interface, improved relaying of information, and a more advanced AI that takes into greater consideration cyclists’ physiological abilities and also improves shape and behaviors during breakaways. Finally, you will be able to share content with the community using the Steam Workshop to constantly renew your game experience.

The Norse Team Coming to Blood Bowl 2

May 3, 2016 – Blood Bowl 2, the sequel to the video game adaptation of Games Workshop‘s famous board game that combines American football with the fantasy world of Warhammer, welcomes a new race on its pitch: The Norse. The new screenshots show off the fearsome Norse players, their impressive Big Guy and their bestial Star Players – all included in the Norse DLC available today on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

To respect the PC players of the first Blood Bowl game, which accumulated 23 races through 3 paying editions – we have heard their frustration – we decided to create the FOUNDERS INCENTIVE for PC players of Blood Bowl 2: players will receive the Norse, the Undead, the Necromantic and the Nurgle teams for free, as long as they purchased the game before the races release.

The Norse Team

Hailing from a far north peninsula of the Old World, Norsca, the Norse are fearsome warriors who naturally benefit from the Block skill – making a Norse line one of the more resilient Blood Bowl defensive walls. Norse players also have low Armour value, meaning they’re built for dishing out damage, not taking it. We’re excited to see how new Norse Coaches plan around the team’s weaknesses and exploit their strengths.

The Norse DLC pack includes new types of players, including the Ulfwerener. These werewolves encourage damage-dealing plays with their high Strength and their brutal Frenzy skill. The Norse Big Guy is the Yhetee, a vicious Snow Troll with Claws built for shredding high armoured players. Finally, two Star Players are joining the Norse: Icepelt Hammerblow, Yhetee, and Wilhelm Chaney, Ulfwerener.

IMGN.PRO Announces Horror FPS Husk

April 22nd, Bielsko-Biała, Poland – Welcome to Shivercliff! A place you’ll never want to leave! We aspire to show our lovely town to every newcomer who stumbles upon its gates. Breathe in the fresh air of our evergeen forests, stroll on the shore, swim in the warm light of a beautiful sunset and explore the infinite maze of karst caves. Get to know your neighbors, as they will be excited to spend time with you. You are most welcomed to become the next citizen of Shivercliff. A place you will not be able to leave…

Husk will take you to a typical, American small town where, along with Matthew Palmer – a father and husband searching for his family after a train crash, you will get to know its everyday life. Shivercliff though is not a perfect picture postcard town. It is a point, in which two worlds, reality and nightmare, collide. On many occasions the hero, will have to fight the evil lingering in the dark corners of the streets for the sake of his survival.

Shivercliff is a place hiding secrets you wish you’d never uncovered. Each step further into the town is also a step further into yourself. Deep down, where demons have been lurking and waiting patiently for far too long.

Husk is IMGN.PRO and UndeadScout co-production and here’s what Łukasz Kubiak, IMGN.PRO co-founder, has to say about the start of this cooperation:

Husk is mostly UndeadScout team’s amazing concept. When they approached us with a co-op proposal, we were over the moon. We offered them full support. Now, we are working together and IMGN.PRO is present in the process of the game development on many different levels, including my favorite – the story. In my opinion, after Kholat players can expect the storytelling in Husk to be intriguing and rich in detail, but also more coherent and clear than in the case of our debut game.

Husk is a purebred FPP horror inspired by titles like Silent Hill or Alan Wake. The game will not lack fighting, solving mysteries and uncovering the dark and tantalizing plot. Developed by two teams (IMGN.PRO – the developer of Kholat and a publisher) and UndeadScout (for whom Husk is their first, debut title) and with a music score written by Arkadiusz Reikowski.

To learn more about the game visit www.welcometoshivercliff.com and the game’s Facebook page.
