Michał Tatka, CEO of Teyon had this to say: “We’re so excited by the momentum we’re seeing on Mac, which attests to the great tools Apple provides for game developers. RoboCop: Rogue City takes full advantage of Apple silicon Macs, delivering smooth frame rates and providing high quality visuals. RoboCop: Rogue City immerses the player in Old Detroit, in an original story taking place between the RoboCop 2 and 3 films. In this new first-person adventure, the player must restore law and order to a city plunged into chaos in the wake of the arrival of a new crime lord. The gameplay alternates between explosive battles, investigations in the field and side quests, in which the player will decide citizens’ fates, thereby affecting the game progression.
Out of their desire to pay tribute to the franchise, the Teyon team have also left numerous references to the RoboCop world for players to discover, such as the iconic locations, weapons and characters, including the actor Peter Weller, who returns to duty as the face and voice of the cyborg cop in RoboCop: Rogue City.
RoboCop: Rogue City is the creation of the development studio Teyon and video game publisher NACON in collaboration with and pursuant to a license from Amazon MGM Studios Consumer Products and Interactive Licensing.
RoboCop: Rogue City will be released this fall for Mac (via Steam and the App Store).

Today at IGN Live, Fun Dog Studios released an extended gameplay trailer for their debut game, The Forever Winter, created by industry veterans behind iconic titles like Horizon: Zero Dawn, DOOM Eternal, Killzone, and more. The Forever Winter’s new trailer unpacks the game’s squad-based, tactical looter-shooter approach and features a deeper look at the PvEvE Scenario Systemthat governs the chaos of the battlefield, directs NPC factions towards achieving their own objectives, and aims to eliminate any player who rises beyond nuisance-level. The trailer also showcases The Forever Winter’s war-torn world, available player classes, and progression, ways to customize your build in order to survive, and features a long look at new enemy types and gameplay.
Eager scavs can look forward to The Forever Winter’s Closed Beta release soon. Wishlist on Steam today. Check out the gameplay trailer here:
In The Forever Winter, players are a scavenging survivor, leading a community of like-minded individuals who only want to be left alone. Unfortunately, AI controlled factions like Europa and Eurasia control all of the world’s existing resources, and are at constant war with each other to secure more. This means the player must navigate these battlefields to collect the needed resources for their communities to survive.
“The Forever Winter isn’t about being the biggest or the strongest; it’s about outsmarting your enemies and making the most of every resource you find. Survival is your greatest achievement, because there are only three types of scavs: the fast, the smart, and the dead,” said Miles Williams, CEO and Creative Director of Fun Dog Studios. “I can’t wait for folks to get their hands on it, starting with Early Access very soon. But getting the game out is just the beginning. We look forward to working closely with our community to refine and expand the game for as long as there’s love for dark futures.”
The Forever Winter features include:
Prepare for Hell: Players join up at the community hub where they can buy from vendors selling weapons, pharmaceuticals, and additional gear to prepare for the maze ahead, accept missions or dirty jobs from NPCs and rival factions and more.
PvEvE Scenario System: Enemies have their own goals and agendas, operating in coordinated groups, and undertaking full-scale battles. Enemy AI deploys enemies in squads based on their current objectives, with each squad reacting differently to player actions. As the player gets more powerful or makes a bigger mark on the battlefield, the enemy will deploy more (and stronger) firepower to counter. And players will never be stronger than the enemy.
Brace the Cold Challenges Ahead: While surviving is always the primary goal, players can earn more XP, gear and money by taking on quests. Each quest has varying threat levels commensurate with their risk and reward: harder quests give larger reputation rewards that increase your faction standings, earn more credits, and get rewarded with more powerful gear.
Increase Skills and Gear Up to Survive: Spend accumulated resources between sessions to level up health, speed, accuracy and reload speed that give you a fighting chance against The Forever Winter’s relentless enemies.
Prioritize Stealth and Teamwork: Coordinate with your squad to outsmart enemies and avoid detection to gain the upper hand, or tactically plan battles and ambushes to win guerilla engagements. Just don’t take the enemy head-on. You won’t live to tell the tale.
Death is Just the Beginning (Again): If your squad dies, the run’s over. And death is unforgiving. If you fall in battle, you’ll lose everything in your inventory for that session, and have to start over from scratch. Build up a stash back at base between sessions to keep the upper hand in the future.
The Forever Winter will initially be released on PC with potential platform expansion based on the game’s success and community feedback. For more updates on The Forever Winter and to view the trailer, visit https://www.fundogstudios.com/.
Frost Giant Studios, founded by former members of the StarCraft II and Warcraft III real-time strategy game teams at Blizzard Entertainment, today announced that Stormgate, our highly anticipated RTS, will enter Steam Early Access starting Aug. 13, 2024. Players eager to embark on the road to mastery can get a head start and dive into the game on July 30 by pre-purchasing an Early Access bundle, available today on Steam.
Stormgate’s Early Access release date was announced today during the PC Gaming Show, where the game’s previously unannounced third faction–the Celestial Armada–was revealed. Once a tightly guarded secret known only to thousands of our closed beta testers, the Celestials are a race of highly technologically advanced interstellar travelers who have come to Earth to challenge the demonic Infernal Host for control over our planet–with humanity caught in the middle.
For more on the Celestials, which some playtesters have called the most original RTS faction they’ve ever played, visit the Celestials faction page on the official Stormgate website.
Get a Head Start with Early Access Bundles
Stormgate will be free-to-play, but Early Access bundles offer players the opportunity to pick up a collection of exciting new game content to explore once the game is live.
The Early Access Pack ($25 USD) includes the Amara Human Vanguard Hero, the first Chapter of the Vanguard campaign, and the Gold Vanguard Army Accent.
The Deluxe Early Access Pack ($40 USD) includes everything in the Early Access Pack plus the Maloc Infernal Host Hero, the Auralanna Celestial Armada Hero, and the Chicken Pet.
The Ultimate Early Access Pack ($60 USD) includes everything in the Deluxe Early Access Pack plus Chapters 2 and 3 of the Vanguard campaign (available sometime after August 13) and the Firestorm Fog of War Shader.
Each Stormgate Early Access bundle includes preview access to Stormgate on July 30, 2024, two weeks before the official Early Access release date on August 13. Hero progression and leaderboard rankings will not be reset following the preview period.
Early Access: A Partnership With Our Players
“Launching Stormgate in Early Access represents a major milestone for our team and our community,” said Tim Morten, CEO and Production Director at Frost Giant Studios. “We believe Early Access is a better way to make games, as it allows us to form a true partnership with our players. Their feedback and participation have already been invaluable in shaping the future of Stormgate, and we can’t wait to see what future contributions they’ll make as together we forge a bright future for the real-time strategy genre.”
A Global RTS Community
The Frost Giant team developed SnowPlay, a custom layer of technology that transforms Unreal Engine 5 into the most powerful and responsive real-time strategy engine to date. It allows for next-generation improvements for the genre such as the inclusion of rollback netcode–which revolutionized online play in the fighting game community–now in an RTS featuring massive armies. Supported by a globally distributed server network and the improved gameplay feel that results from SnowPlay and rollback, Stormgate makes a truly global RTS community a possibility, with the potential to bring together players around the world like never before.
A More Approachable RTS
Stormgate features a variety of innovative features meant to make this style of game more approachable than ever. The Quick Macro Panel (QMP) puts all of the actions players need to perform to build and maintain their armies at their fingertips while automated control groups make controlling armies a cinch. Stormgate also features a customizable player-assist tool called the BuddyBot that provides varying degrees of automated assistance. Designed for the benefit of new players as well as those with differing abilities, the BuddyBot gives players a helping hand by providing as much or as little help as desired. While it won’t turn a new player into a world champion, the BuddyBot can help anyone dive right into the fun of leading armies in epic battles.
Frost Giant Studios will be self-publishing Stormgate in the West and is partnering with publisher Kakao Games to bring the future of real-time strategy to gamers in Korea–considered by many the birthplace of competitive RTS. Korean gamers can look forward to exciting regional support plans to be announced by Kakao Games in the days ahead. Stormgate will initially be localized in French, German, Korean, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese.
