Mortal Shell: The Virtuous Cycle Launch Trailer

This Wednesday Mortal Shell will celebrate its first year anniversary in style by releasing its highly anticipated new roguelike expansion, The Virtuous Cycle, at a special 100% discount for five days only.

Between August 18 and August 23, fans can download and keep The Virtuous Cycle — a fully fledged expansion complete with a new roguelike mode, new playable shell, and new transforming axe-katana weapon — at no cost.

Once this promotional period ends, the DLC will return to its MSRP of $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.99.

The promotional period, which commences from The Virtuous Cycle’s release on August 18, is applicable to all available platforms: Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Epic Games Store, and GOG.COM.

“Since we launched Mortal Shell back in August 2020 we have been thinking about how to give our fans something truly special that demonstrates our sincere appreciation for their support,” said Kiron Ramdewar, Head of PC and Console at Mortal Shell’s publisher Playstack.

Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Frima Studio have today announced that upcoming dark fantasy strategy RPG Disciples: Liberation will be launching on October 21 for Windows PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One consoles and Xbox Series X|S. To celebrate the upcoming launch, Kalypso and Frima have also released a showcase of new 4K screenshots so players can check out the game in all of its high-definition gory glory before launch.

Disciples: Liberation marks a new beginning for the franchise, allowing players to explore a richly detailed dark fantasy world, fight foul beasts in intricate turn-based combat, take on hundreds of unique quests and foster relationships with an assortment of in-world factions: from a human empire tinged by religious extremism to the dark forces of the undead lead by a mad queen. Alliances forged, players can build an army and trade hard-earned resources for an assortment of upgrades to their home base. Ripout First Gameplay Trailer

Independent developer Pet Project Games today released the first gameplay trailer for Ripout. Launching on PC in 2022 and built with Unreal Engine, Ripout is a co-op sci-fi horror FPS with customisable biotech weapon combat, that features the Living Pet Weapon (LPW) that absorbs advanced tech from downed mutants including shield, plasma and teleportation biotech upgrades. Earlier this year Pet Project Games released a teaser showing just a few snippets of gameplay, but now the true Ripout experience is laid bare in the full gameplay trailer:

Ripout is set in the 22nd Century, an era where humanity has reached beyond Earth to conquer the solar system. An interplanetary revolution for humanity began, but it would quickly turn disastrous. This new expansion was greeted with new threats, as Alien forces emerged and threatened this new golden age. Desperate to find a way to keep them at bay, humanity developed a cell that regenerated soldiers’ tissue at superhuman speeds. But the cell turned sentient, causing those soldiers to transform into gruesome and bloodthirsty mutants. With humanity’s saviour now fast becoming their downfall, soldiers are deployed using the latest in biotech weaponry to deal with the mutants that have overtaken its fleet of battleships, turning them into derelict and deadly graveyards…

Toy Soldiers HD Release Date Announcement

The great war begins September 9. Toy Soldiers HD, the overhauled, upgraded, and better-than-ever action and strategy video game developed by Signal Studios and published by Accelerate Games will be digitally available on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and on Steam.

Originally released in 2010, the new updated version of the hit indie game includes improved single and multiplayer gameplay, never-before played content, enhanced HD graphics (hence the name), improved camera and sound and all previously released DLC.

The original Toy Soldiers remains one of the most beloved and best-selling XBLA titles of all time, selling millions of units. At the 2011 D.I.C.E. award show, the indie game was nominated for best simulation game of the year alongside massively budgeted AAA titles Starcraft 2, Civilization V, Dawn of War II, Supreme Commander II.

ToneStone, founded by former Harmonix chief creative officer Greg LoPiccolo and game industry veteran of Valve and Amazon Games Tom Leonard, is building a platform to enable anyone to easily make and share music.
