Disney General Entertainment is bringing more than 30 fan-favorite programs under one roof at this year’s D23 Expo: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event presented by Visa. Through interactive activations on the convention floor as well as shows, panels and talent appearances, fans will immerse themselves in the wonders of storytelling from some of the most iconic and culture-defining shows across every genre on television and streaming, created by content brands ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Disney Branded Television, Freeform, FX, Hulu Originals, National Geographic Content and Onyx Collective.

The three-day extravaganza kicks off September 9 in Anaheim, California, and includes immersive activations in the Disney General Entertainment “Journey Into Storytelling” pavilion, along with a dynamic schedule of exciting announcements, sneak peeks, engaging panels and special appearances by the stars from some of today’s most cherished shows today.

Through the “Journey Into Storytelling” experience on the show floor pavilion, there is a story for everyone. DreadXP — an independent horror publisher and production company — and developer DarkStone Digital today launched the highly-anticipated supernatural first-person horror game, The Mortuary Assistant. Available now for Windows PC, The Mortuary Assistant casts players as Rebecca Owens, a recent Mortuary Sciences graduate who starts an apprenticeship at the infamous RiverFields Mortuary. She soon learns that the dead don’t stay dead at this mortuary. Demonic forces are at play at RiverFields Mortuary…

Late one night, you are called into work to process and embalm some cadavers. Death doesn’t keep day time hours. But there is something different about these bodies, because there is something different about you. The phone rings with the Mortician on the other end. The rumors are true, and you can not leave.

The Mortuary Assistant features demonic banishments, creepy puzzles, realistic mortician tasks, and multiple endings. Each playthrough of the game is unique, featuring different demons, bodies, and scares. As Rebecca, you must balance your mortuary tasks while hunting for clues as to what’s behind these paranormal occurrences. Brave dark hallways and pay close attention to details if you wish to walk away with your soul intact. With a story told through multiple playthroughs, each run offers something unique.

The scares in The Mortuary Assistant aren’t limited to the supernatural, as the game features authentic tasks practiced by real-life morticians — this include making incisions on the dead, draining corpses of residual blood, retrieving bodies from cold storage, and conducting embalmings. The first person perspective puts you right into the macabre medical action, which only ramps up the tension as the bodies being worked on start to wander.

Monstrum 2 to feature in Steam Survival Fest 2022

Junkfish, the BAFTA-winning indie studio behind the critically acclaimed predecessor Monstrum, has announced that their asymmetric multiplayer sequel, Monstrum 2, will be participating in the Steam Survival Fest event running from August 1st – 8th, 2022. The platform will be hosting survival horror games for one week, where many titles are discounted and demos for upcoming releases are unveiled to gamers. Additionally, Monstrum 2 will be available for free as part of a Steam free weekend on August 4th till August 7th.

Junkfish have additionally revealed that Monstrum 2 will be exiting Early Access and entering full release soon on Steam. Play as friend or foe in this procedurally-generated sea labyrinth that gives you the choice to become the hunter or be the hunted in this player-versus-player environment.

Play as a prisoner: dare to brave your breakout as a prisoner? Stranded with other prisoners alike, survival tactics are integral to your escape from Sparrow Lock, a decrepit sea fortress harbouring an unwanted guest. Hersheypark Announces Dark Nights Expansion to Hersheypark Halloween Event

Hersheypark amusement park today announced the creation of the new Dark Nights frightfully immersive haunt experience that spreads its shadows over the Hersheypark landscape every evening during Hersheypark Halloween seasonal event. The four-acre addition of Dark Nights represents the largest investment to date for a seasonal event, with three new scare zones and four horrifying haunted houses as part of integrated thrill experiences guests can only find in Hersheypark.

EPIC Entertainment Group has partnered with Hersheypark to conjure up scares and thrills for the frightfully immersive, all-new haunt experience: Dark Nights. Dark Nights is a four-acre expansion of the annual Hersheypark Halloween event, tempting guests to face their fears in four spine-tingling haunted houses and three spooky scare zones.

Hersheypark Halloween is a fun, family experience featuring everything guests know and love about the Halloween spin on the season previously called the Hersheypark In The Dark event, with add-on horrors of Dark Nights for guests seeking thrills and frights new in 2022.

EPIC Entertainment Group will leverage its decade of renowned haunt expertise to deliver an immersive, chilling haunted house experience, The Descent, and a captivating scare zone, Midway of Misery, located in the darkest corner of the park. As a Production Design Partner, EPIC Entertainment Group is consulting in design, production, costume, make-up, and talent. Darkstone’s Hollow – Wander among Professor Darkstone’s showmen boasting his array of mythical creatures. Beyond the mesmerizing imagery, there’s more to the show than meets the eye.

Disney+ Reveals New Trailer for Andor

Today, Disney+ released an exciting new trailer and key art for “Andor,” an original, 12-episode series from Lucasfilm. The series, which takes place prior to the events of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” debuts exclusively on Disney+ on its new date, Wednesday, September 21, with a three-episode premiere.

The “Andor” series explores a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor and is joined by cast members Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Fiona Shaw. New to Quest is the option to scale UI to your desired setting. This will ensure maximum comfort as you hack, slash and chop your way through the jungle.

Fixes, Updates and Patches for Quest

Learning to adapt in the jungle takes time, practice, and precision. We can confirm that the same goes for developing a jungle survival game as well. We are continuously listening to the fans and feedback, which means constantly learning how to improve the experience for players. In the latest update, we have made several changes, including:

Backpack improvements: touch support and an overall refurbishing of the backpack system. Your backpack is the only thing that’s got your back out there, if you get our meaning, it’s important we make it as helpful as possible.
Supplies for days: stack supplies and find arrows in a dedicated spot, like the organized survivor person you are!
What pothole? We’re filling in terrain holes as we find them. Sometimes it’s the easy way, sometimes the hard way.
Backfired: gasoline will no longer extinguish fires, as that is the opposite of what gasoline does to fires.

Cosmoteer: Starship Architect & Commander Hits Early Access this Fall

Create the perfect starship in Cosmoteer: Starship Architect & Commander, a starship building simulator launching into Early Access this fall on PC. Build ridiculously elaborate starships to battle enemies, fight other players or explore the stars. Your ship’s crew are its lifeblood and the ship’s design is key to its survival.

Cosmoteer offers a ship creator that’s easy to use but offers infinite depth. Players can fully customize their ship’s shape and floor plan however they’d like, choosing where to place modules such as weapons, engines, reactors, and crew’s quarters. Every decision impacts its effectiveness in combat. Ship designs can also be easily shared with other players via Steam Workshop or Discord.

A ship’s crew is what keeps it running. Ships crews can range from a half-dozen to a thousand or more people. Each crew member performs tasks such as flying the ship, operating its weapons, and carrying munitions. How effective the crew and ship design is will be put to the test in Cosmoteer’s explosive physics-driven combat. Target specific parts of ships from an enemy weapons or targeting their reactor to go for the kill.

Become the most famous “Cosmoteer” in the galaxy in the single player career mode or team up with friends in co-op multiplayer. Cosmoteer also offers several PvP modes where players can test their design and command skills against each other. Not ready to face off against other ships? Try out Creative Mode where you can design cool starships without limits, alone or with friends.

Cosmoteer: Starship Architect & Commander lands on PC later this year. Aspiring ship designers can wishlist the game on Steam now, and keep an eye out for an updated demo during Steam Next Fest in October. Interviews with the developer are available upon request.

Way of the Hunter to Feature Remington Arms

THQ Nordic and Nine Rock Games are excited to announce a new partnership with Remington for Way of the Hunter, a top-of-the-line hunting simulator video game with high quality visuals. Coming this fall on August 16, Way of the Hunter will be available on all major gaming platforms.

Way of the Hunter offers an authentic hunting experience which includes scouting and spotting, tracking, gun handling and taxidermy. As part of the partnership agreement, Remington’s iconic ammunition and firearms will be used throughout the game.

In addition to the authentic hunting experiences offered within the game, there are true to life animal animations that demonstrate herd behavior in a variety of big and small game. The storyline weaves in natural elements that promotes ethical hunting while developing a trophy system that ranks animals based on their features for a unique hunting experience in each simulation.
