Starship Troopers: Extermination Early Access Launch Date

Today, Offworld Industries, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, are thrilled to announce May 17th as the Early Access launch date for their upcoming title, Starship Troopers: Extermination. The launch will mark an opportunity for players to collaborate closely with the Offworld Industries team through the game’s earliest development stages, as their feedback helps guide what features and mechanics to build upon before the game’s eventual transition into 1.0. Community feedback from the frenetic 16-player action—bumped up from the originally-anticipated 12-player gameplay—will be a crucial component of the evolving creative process, as Offworld Industries works to iterate upon player input and add more content throughout the Early Access period.

The Early Access edition of Starship Troopers: Extermination will be available at $24.99 USD upon release—a special introductory price that will increase as more content is introduced ahead of the 1.0 launch. From day one of Early Access, the title will already boast both strategy and combat-oriented gameplay. Players can construct and reinforce bases of operations while not in heavy combat, creating a safe structure to respawn, regroup and rearm themselves in preparation for Bug-exterminating co-op play. These bases are protected from enemy spawns, and base-building isn’t linked to a specific class or rank, so Deep Space Vanguards of every stripe can utilize these structures.

Starship Troopers: Extermination puts players on the far-off front lines in an all-out assault against the Arachnid menace. Squad up as a Trooper in the Deep Space Vanguard, an elite Special Forces group within the Mobile Infantry, and get ready to stomp some Bug! No Trooper will ever stand alone as they line up shoulder-to-shoulder with their fellow Vanguards—trusty Morita Assault Rifles in hand—to battle against hordes of bloodthirsty insectoid aliens on the hostile surface of the planet Valaka.

Work together to complete objectives, acquire resources, build and defend your base of operations, and then escape to the extraction point together. The battle will be intense but, as hardened warriors standing for all of humanity and the United Citizen Federation, leave no inch of ground safe for the Arachnids

Razer Stream Controller X Review

The Razer Stream Controller X is a new addition to Razer’s product line, designed specifically for content creators and streamers. This device is a compact controller that allows users to easily manage their streams and interact with their audience without having to use their keyboard and mouse. In this review, we will take a closer look at the Stream Controller X and evaluate its features, design, and performance.

Design
The Stream Controller X has a sleek and modern design that fits well with the aesthetic of most gaming setups. It measures 153mm x 101mm x 55mm and weighs 191g, making it a compact and portable device. The controller features a matte black finish with a glossy Razer logo on top, which adds a touch of elegance to its overall look. The controller has 12 customizable buttons each with its own LED display. The buttons are raised and have a nice smooth feel, which makes them easy to find and use. The controller also has a USB Type-C port for charging and connectivity.

The Razer Stream Controller X

Features
The Stream Controller X is packed with features that are designed to enhance the streaming experience for content creators. One of the standout features is the 12 customizable buttons, which can be mapped to any key on the keyboard or any function in the streaming software. This allows streamers to easily access the most frequently used functions, such as start/stop recording, mute microphone, and change scenes, without having to use their keyboard or mouse. This level of customization is a huge advantage for streamers who want to streamline their workflow and increase their productivity. Each button has its own display built-in – these displays are crisp and bright which makes knowing what button does what a lot easier.

Another feature of Stream Controller X is its compatibility with popular streaming software such as OBS and Streamlabs OBS. The controller works seamlessly with these programs and allows users to easily navigate through the different functions and settings. This is a huge advantage for streamers who use these programs as their primary streaming software, as it allows them to fully integrate the controller into their workflow.

Setting up the Razer Stream Controller X is done through Loupedeck’s software suite. This is because the Razer Stream Controller X is a product that Razer partnered with Loupedeck on creating. The Loupedeck software is very easy to use thanks to its drag-and-drop interface. With the success of the Stream Controller X, I would love to see Razer partner with Loupedeck on future products.

Performance
The Stream Controller X is a highly responsive and accurate controller that delivers excellent performance. The buttons have a nice tactile feel and respond quickly to user inputs, which is essential for streamers who need to react quickly during their streams. The controller has a 1000Hz polling rate, which means that it sends data to the computer 1000 times per second. This results in a highly responsive and lag-free experience, which is essential for competitive gaming and streaming.

Conclusion
At $149.99, The Razer Stream Controller X is a well-designed and feature-packed controller that is perfect for content creators and streamers. Its compact size, customizable buttons, and immense functionality make it a highly versatile device that can enhance the streaming experience for users. Its compatibility with popular streaming software and highly responsive performance make it a must-have for serious streamers who want to take their streams to the next level. Razer Partners with Retrosuperfuture on Fashion Eyewear

Razer™, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers and Retrosuperfuture (RSF) announced an exciting new collaboration – Razersuperfuture – curated by D-CAVE, the lifestyle space of the metaverse. This is Razer’s first collaboration on fashion eyewear and the partnership sets out RSF’s foray into the gaming scene as a natural extension of its unique brand positioning at the forefront of contemporary streetwear market.

“Razersuperfuture” is an exclusive sunglass model designed to blend Retrosuperfuture’s Italian craftmanship with Razer’s iconic design aesthetics. The mask-like silhouette was inspired by sportswear pieces with urban streetwear vibes. The model features chunky acetate rims and temples, onto which a wide lens has been mounted to offer extensive coverage and protection in use. A unique high-tech lens has also been applied – a photochromic lens to ensure these sunglasses can be used both indoors and outdoors, as well as a blue light protection finish for comfort during extended gaming sessions.

“Razer is no stranger to the fashion scene, having collaborated with renowned fashion and lifestyle brands as well as launched our own lines of apparels,” said Addie Tan, Associate Director of Business Development at Razer. “We’re excited to work with Retrosuperfuture on our first eyewear to outfit the gamers from their gaming sessions to their everyday activities in our quest to outfit every aspect of the gamers’ world.”

“Retrosuperfuture and Razer have come together to create a collection of eyewear that blends the best of both worlds,” said Daniel Beckerman, CEO and Founder of Retrosuperfuture. “The result is a harmonious union of style and function, technical eyewear that is not only stylish but also built to withstand the rigors of intense gaming sessions.”

To mark this model and celebrate the exclusive collaboration, the lenses will be scribed with Razer’s tagline, “For Gamers. By Gamers”. In addition, each eyewear would be uniquely serialized on the right outer temples. The inscriptions will complement Razer’s iconic acid green branding.

Curated by D-CAVE, a community space for the digital culture savvy, aiming to become the reference lifestyle space for the new Web 3.0 audience: a consumer marketplace of digital and physical wearables, this collaboration affirms the convergence of gaming culture in contemporary fashion, further positioning it at the center of contemporary pop culture. It is a testament of the impact of gaming within the cultural and fashion scene. Razersuperfuture exemplifies the convergence between two cultural scenes of gaming and fashion.

“Gaming and fashion have always been our passion, and we are thrilled to curate this partnership between two top brands like Razer and RSF,” said Stefano Rosso, co-founder and CEO of D-CAVE. “We believe gaming and Web 3.0 will change the world for the upcoming generations and our role is to be there to facilitate and enhance the best lifestyle projects for this new group of digital culture communities.”
