Dying Light: The Beast Parkour and Combat Trailer

We’re excited to share the next chapter in our road to launch – a short new video offering a glimpse into Kyle’s emotional struggles, the stunning open world of Castor Woods, parkour and traversal, as well as intense, physical combat – showcasing what makes the gameplay of Dying Light: The Beast truly immersive and exciting.

And speaking of parkour and combat – to make Dying Light: The Beast the most realistic, challenging, and exciting game in the series, we focused on core gameplay mechanics appreciated by players. What has changed?

Parkour – immersive, grounded, realistic

  • Players can go anywhere and climb anything, with grounded and realistic movement.
  • In-game physics tweaked for correct jump height/length; floatiness removed.
  • Total freedom to find multiple paths encourages exploration.
  • Stamina does not limit climbing, but observation is needed to reach hard spots.
  • No helpers – parkour is a skill to master for survival and escaping zombies.
  • Over 100 new animations for Kyle Crane, including 17 unique edge climbing moves.

Combat – physical, brutal, creative

  • Weapon strikes analyzed precisely; swing/stop timings balanced for impact.
  • The new physics engine applies hit impulses accurately; realistic reactions with active ragdoll + short animations.
  • Human enemies use advanced AI and cover mechanics, with up to 22 strategies for positioning.
  • Player feedback emphasized: Kyle stabilizes recoil quickly, melee hits feel heavy.
  • Damage model allows destruction of at least 12 enemy body parts; visible wounds doubled compared to previous games.

But that’s not all! Watch the dev diary with Kacper Kowalczuk – Technical Game Director, Marcin Bahryn-Kamiński – Senior Animator, and Tymon Smektała – Dying Light Franchise Director, who share even more juicy details.

This is where the AP80 PRO MAX changes everything — an affordable, pocket-sized HiFi player that puts true high-resolution music right in your hands.
With built-in 2.4GHz WiFi, you can stream high resolution audio directly from platforms like Tidal and Qobuz — no downloads, no latency, no compromises. More than just a streaming device, the AP80 PRO MAX is a complete portable music companion: enjoy lossless playback via microSD card, connect wirelessly through Bluetooth, or instantly enhance your existing headphones with its powerful DAC/AMP features.

AP80 PRO MAX Key Features

  • Ultra Hi-Fidelity Audio: Dual ESS ES9219C DACs deliver up to 32bit/384kHz PCM audio, MQA 16X hardware decoding, and native DSD 64/128/256

  • Premium Quality Industrial Design: HD touchscreen, CNC unibody aluminum chassis, and both 4.4mm balanced and 3.5mm single-ended connections
  • Versatility and Customizability: HiBy OS + MSEB audio tuning board for sound customization, E-book functionality, and high capacity microSD storage options

Building upon the proven success of the earlier AP80 Pro-X, this new and improved version boasts 2.4GHz WiFi capabilities, making streaming and remote library access easier than ever before. Audiophiles with higher impedance headphones will be enticed by the 340mW of balanced power output with balanced 4.4mm and 3.5mm single-ended connection options included. The industrial design features a similar attention to quality with its CNC unibody aluminum chassis that feels great to hold, and the responsive and vibrant 2.95-inch 480×640 HD Touchscreen.

From an audio fidelity standpoint, the AP80 PRO MAX is top of its class. Sporting dual ESS ES9219C DAC chips from SABRE, widely regarded as the gold standard for digital-to-analog converter technology, the AP80 PRO MAX supports extremely high resolution audio up to 32bit 384kHz. This technology makes it more than up to the task of handling the multitude of high resolution audio codecs supported onboard including DSD, MQA, Apt-X, LDAC, and more. Users who prefer to store their high-resolution audio files locally will enjoy expanded storage capacity via microSD card.

The AP80 PRO MAX will be sold for $189 retail, an astounding value for the amount of utility and quality packed into the device, though long-term fans of HIDIZS won’t be surprised by the amount of value to be found here. The product launches on Kickstarter in October, with shipments expected to begin in late November. Follow HIDIZS on Instagram for the latest updates and announcements, or become a part of the community on the official HIDIZS Discord server.

HiFi For Everyone: An Expanded Lineup

In the HiFi ecosystem where Brand drives price just as much as sound quality, HIDIZS has taken a more egalitarian approach. Inspired by the belief that everyone deserves to have access to the highest quality listening experiences and driven by the ambition of being the premiere supplier of those experiences, HIDIZS has already created a diverse and robust catalog that includes everything from DACs, Amps, Portable Media Players, audiophile In-Ears, and more. This year they are poised to expand that catalog even further with a complete lineup ranging from entry-level to flagship HiFi gear including the AP80 PRO MAX, the MK12 Ultra Titanium Gold-Plated Diaphragm Dynamic IEMs, and the MK10 ArcSonics IEMs which are launching in mid-September. And that’s just the start; CanJam SoCal 2025 attendees will have the opportunity to sample HDIZS’s upcoming Q4 lineup which promises exciting new offerings including a Bluetooth DAC & Headphone Amplifier.
