AMC Networks announced today from Comic-Con International second season renewals for two series in the expanding Walking Dead Universe, including The Walking Dead: Dead City and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. The renewal for Dead City, starring Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dead Morgan, comes just ahead of the show’s season one finale on Sunday, July 23 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on AMC and AMC+. The series debuted in June as the #1 season premiere in the history of AMC+ in terms of viewership across all new and returning series, including The Walking Dead, with viewership on AMC and AMC+ growing with each successive week to date. The highly anticipated debut of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, starring Norman Reedus, is set for September 10 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on AMC and AMC+.

The Walking Dead: Dead City’s six-episode first season follows the popular Maggie (Cohan) and Negan (Morgan) characters traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, long ago cut off from the mainland. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.
In The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, Daryl (Reedus) washes ashore in France and struggles to piece together how he got there and why. The series tracks his journey across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. As he makes the journey, though, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan.
Also in the Walking Dead Universe, the second half of the eighth and final season of Fear the Walking Dead returns this Fall, and the Untitled Rick and Michonne series starring Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira, is set to premiere in 2024.
Paramount+ today revealed the upcoming ninth episode of season two of its hit original series STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS will be a musical themed episode, the first ever in STAR TREK franchise history. The reveal was made during the STAR TREK universe presentation in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con. In addition, a first look at the teaser trailer for the episode, titled “Subspace Rhapsody,” was released during the presentation.
Following an advance screening of episode seven of the current season, the highly anticipated STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS and STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS special crossover episode, it was announced that the episode will have a surprise early drop and be available to stream today, starting at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on Paramount+ in the U.S. and all Paramount+ international markets exclusively on the service.

Paramount+ today revealed the official trailer for season four of its hit original animated comedy series STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS during the STAR TREK universe presentation at San Diego Comic-Con. It was also announced at the panel that the highly anticipated fourth season will premiere with two episodes on Thursday, September 7, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Paramount+ international markets exclusively on the service. New season-four teaser art was revealed as well, the design an homage to Star Trek: IV: The Voyage Home.
Created by Emmy Award winner Mike McMahan (Rick and Morty, Solar Opposites), in season four of STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS, an unknown force is destroying starships and threatening galactic peace. Luckily, the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos isn’t important enough for stuff like that! Instead, Ensigns Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, Rutherford and Provisional Ensign T’Lyn are keeping up with their Starfleet duties, avoiding malevolent computers and getting stuck in a couple caves – all while encountering new and classic aliens along the way.
The Starfleet crew residing in the “lower decks” of the U.S.S. Chapter 6 Part 2 of the Main Story will be available on August 2! In a meeting of region leaders, Crawford announces Manon’s return. Aina is happy to be able to fight with Manon again, but what kind of future awaits our three main characters? Mini Episodes will be coming along with the Main Story. Watch them all to see how each character reacts to what they learned from the battle on Leciel.
Alliance Spaces
Alliance Spaces, a new type of Creative Space for use by Alliances, are arriving soon. These are available as separate Spaces from the player’s own personal Creative Space. They will be available for Alliances with four or more members. Alliance Spaces are fun places for communication; an Alliance Bulletin Board can also be set up as a handy way for Alliance Members to communicate with each other.
There will also be a new Retem theme! Changing the theme will change the appearance of the island from the previous Aelio look to a Retem motif, including Build Parts to help players recreate the atmosphere of the Retem Region. Build Parts can be purchased with Genesis Points.
In addition, Build Parts ported over from PSO2 Furnishings will be added to the lineup available for purchase with SG. One of these, the Conveyor Belt, is a unique element that allows players to move along the floor!
Leciel Exploration
Leciel Exploration—new large-scale standing content—can be played by up to eight players and is set on the floating island of Leciel that is visited in the Main Story. In this quest, there are special Ability Buffs to give players an edge! The objective is to acquire as many Ability Buffs as possible within the time limit, so get buffed up and defeat the boss enemy that awaits at the deepest level. Boss enemies are also strengthened with various abilities, so it is important to acquire these Ability Buffs to have the advantage in battle! Ability Buffs can be obtained by completing the conditions set for each room. Players can see available Ability Buffs on the radar map, so keep an eye out and collect them!
This quest is a random map that requires a different strategy each time it is played, and the key to success is mutual coordination and cooperation among friends. The difficulty level is slightly higher than regular quests, but even if you fail to defeat the boss enemy at the deepest level within the time limit, you will be rewarded according to the damage you inflict, so do not give up and challenge through to the end! The bosses Ruine Ragne and Ruine Hyunal wait at the deepest level. Both bosses are the new Ruinus enemy type and have distinctive visuals that may look familiar to ARKS who have played PSO2.They unleash powerful attacks, so stay on guard!
Verschmelz Series
A new series of 9-star-Rarity weapons will soon be available —the Verschmelz series. Verschmelz series is easier to obtain, and the Potential is an effect that always generates a critical attack. Explore the best combinations of Preset Skills and Augments!
In addition, the 8-star-Rarity unit Octo Armor also makes its debut! Plus, a new item, Growthment, will drop for Leciel Exploration. These can be exchanged for the 9-star-Rarity Verschmelz weapons and the 8-star-Rarity Octo Armor unit. Players can trade for these at the Growthment Exchange at Item Traders. Gather some Growthment to get great gear! In addition to being a Leciel Exploration drop, players can also get their hands on Growthment through Daily Task rewards.
Daily Tasks and Title Tasks will be added along with a new quest. Players can obtain the Weapon Camo Verschmelz Almati by completing the quest or defeating the boss at the deepest level, so be sure to give it a try!
Blazing Battle
Take on the Limited-time Quest: Blazing Battle, set on Kanai Isle in the Aelio Region! Up to four people can accept this quest, and the objective is to destroy all the enemies that appear across multiple Waves within the time limit. Players can increase the time limit by defeating a certain number of target enemies. The enemies will appear at various locations around the island, so use Sky Lifters and other field mechanics for maximum efficiency.
Quest: A Ruins Interception
Play the new 24-player Limited-time Quest: A Ruins Interception! In this quest, you’ll face the Megalotix versions of Crocodylis Vera and Ams Vera in the Belugana Ruins. The boss enemies will be backed up by other enemies during combat, so split up to take them on while watching out for the boss enemies’ super-powerful attacks.

The Halloween season officially gets underway this weekend as Midsummer Scream comes to the Long Beach Convention Center — the world’s largest Halloween and horror convention that this year offers a massive array of entertainment options.
At the core of Midsummer Scream is the Hall of Shadows, an incredible experience that brings together local and regional creators of some of the best haunted attractions in the world, giving Midsummer Scream guests an thrillingly, chillingly immersive experience unlike any other.
This year, Midsummer Scream also goes behind the scenes of some of the most iconic names in horror with unique panels that explore the creation of Disney’s Haunted Mansion film, and the origins, future and legacy of Lionsgate’s Saw films.
Moreover, Lionsgate will present a Saw experience on the Midsummer Scream show floor — and guests will also scream along with The Boogeyman, which will offer a special Midsummer Scream experience.
Halloween fans eager for this season’s biggest haunts will learn what’s in store through special presentations and panels from Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights, Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest, and Thirteenth Floor Entertainment.
A curated short-film festival of terror is also available in The Screaming Room, presented by HorrorBuzz, while the Black Cat Lounge offers a feline-focused way to take a break from the action with adorable cats and kittens available for adoption.
“This sixth year for Midsummer Scream is truly the best yet, as we showcase the full range of Halloween and horror—from the big screen to local haunts to the best of horror-themed games of all sort,” said David Markland, co-founder and executive director of Midsummer Scream. “There is going to be something to do literally every minute from the moment we open our doors at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 28.”

The sequel to the best-selling game Remnant: From the Ashes, REMNANT II is a third-person action-survival shooter that pits the last remnants of humanity against the harrowing forces of evil. The title evolves the co-op survival shooter with new unseen worlds filled with deadly surprises and encounters. Join the battle to save humanity in a dynamically generated world filled with branching quest lines, unique loot, and overwhelming odds that encourage exploration and replayability either alone or in three-person co-op. Players will define their own playstyle with an expanded Archetype class system and a wide assortment of guns, armor, and special augmentations as they overcome hard-fought challenges to stave off humanity’s extinction.
REMNANT II plunges players into a devastated world requiring a mix of methodical and frenetic ranged and melee combat against cunning enemies and punishing boss battles. Each time players start a new playthrough of REMNANT II they will be brought into a new world built from a wide pool of locations, enemies, NPCs, bosses, and weapons. These dynamically built levels allow for unique experiences as elements are woven organically into the world and narrative.
An updated Archetype system gives players more flexibility to their play style and lets groups better sync unique passive abilities and stunning powers together in co-op play or combine Archetypes for hybrid play styles. From precision skilled shots, up-close and personal melee strikes, providing valued team support, or siccing their trusty dog companion on a horde of beasts, REMNANT II allows players to outfit their character the way they want to play.
