Not For Broadcast: Bits of Your Life Official Launch Trailer

Not For Broadcast, the chaotic propaganda simulator from developer NotGames and publisher tinyBuild, plans for a special airing of its brand new “Bits of Your Life” DLC on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023.

Bits of Your Life is the nation’s favourite talk show, where viewers get to learn more about the guests through interviews with their friends, family and co-workers. It’s a tried and tested format… but isn’t it all getting a little stale? It’s time to throw the script out the window, bring out the guests in whatever order feels “right” to you and prepare for unhinged revelations, explosive outbursts and at least a full minute of uncontrollable on-air crying.

The chaos isn’t just about ratings though – It’s a chance for the nation to finally learn more about Peter Clement, the future Prime Minister they have all come to love. Run heart-to-heart interviews with Clement’s close friends and family to understand more about his past as an adored former TV celebrity. Explore his upcoming political future and “unique” views on the state of the country while keeping the audience engaged and begging for more.

Meanwhile you’ll need to tend to the usual important work. Mute any unnecessary expletives, keep guests from getting too rowdy in the green room, and swiftly weave in the VT to keep the ratings high and the executives happy.

Explore multiple endings, secrets, and optimal routes to create the greatest show – or train wreck – possible. Check out the DLC “Bits of Your Life” on its own or as part of the Not For Broadcast season pass, which includes the previously released “Live & Spooky” DLC.

Not For Broadcast’s “Bits of Your Life” DLC will be available on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023 for $8.99 USD. The DLC will also be available discounted as part of the Not For Broadcast Season Pass for $24.99 USD.

60th Anniversary Edition of Roger Corman’s The Terror Coming to Blu-ray and DVD

The duality of Roger Corman is on display, showcasing his spooky gothic side with The Terror (1963) — marking the 60th anniversary of its release this year — and his more whimsical side with The Little Shop of Horrors (1960) in this double-feature, special-edition, two-disc, collector’s set, on Blu-ray and DVD Dec. 12 from Film Masters.

In The Terror—with an all-new HD restoration from 35mm archival elements — an 18th century French Lieutenant in Napoleon’s army encounters the ghostly apparition of a young woman (Sandra Knight). Curiosity leads Lt. Andre Duvalier (Jack Nicholson) to the castle of Baron Von Leppe (Boris Karloff), where he notices a painting of the Baron’s late wife Ilsa, who looks identical to the ghostly woman. Determined to unravel the castle’s mystery, Duvalier learns that the Baron has many terrifying secrets. Though officially credited to Corman, The Terror had a total of five collaborative directors, including NicholsonMonte Hellman and Francis Ford Coppola.

Said Film Masters President Phil Hopkins, “The Terror has languished in the public domain for decades. We’re delighted to have put together a celebratory and thought-provoking version with an award-winning team of contributors. Fans of the film will appreciate the editorial bonus features, which take a much-needed deep dive into this infamous Corman classic.”

If you’re young enough, this tale of a man-eating plant might scare you … If you’re old enough, it’ll make you laugh! In a newly restored HD version, The Little Shop of Horrors is the insane story of Seymour (Jonathan Haze), a lonely florist, and his hungry plant, Audrey, for whom he goes to great lengths to ensure that his green friend is fed and happy. With a cast that also includes Dick MillerJackie JosephMel Welles and a very young Jack Nicholson as a scene-stealing dental patient with a high threshold for pain, Corman and screenwriter Charles Griffith give us a comic horror masterpiece for the ages. A film so enduring that it inspired a Broadway musical, which led to a remake of the film that was nominated for two Oscars. See the original that started it all!

SPECIAL FEATURES:  C. Courtney Joyner and Dr. Steve Haberman join us for a commentary track on The Terror and author Justin Humphreys with the film’s star, Jonathan Haze, provide commentary for The Little Shop of Horrors; Joyner provides an essay on the Karloff/Poe connection; Mark McGee pens liner notes for The Little Shop of Horrors; Ballyhoo Motion Pictures continues Hollywood Intruders: The Filmgroup Story with part two of the featurette; a featurette by Howard S. Berger, “Ghosts in the Machine: Art & Artifice in Roger Corman’s Celluloid Castle” provides a fresh look at The Terror; and recut trailers, based on the original theatrical trailers.

Both films are presented with an aspect ratio of 1.85:1. Discs are region free and include English SDH.  Audio is DTS-HD/Dolby AC3s.

The Troop Official Launch Trailer

The battle begins! After almost two years in Early Access, turn-based, platoon-level tactical game The Troop launches today. Developed by Giant Flame and published by PLA Studios, The Troop was born from a lifelong passion for World War II history and turn-based games is now available on PC via Steam.

The Troop is rolling out of its Early Access period with a new arsenal of features, including three new campaigns for players to experience – following the adventures of the 21st Panzer Division, the SS Panzer Division and the 31st Tank Brigade.

The game has attracted a dedicated following among its fans, who have been instrumental to the development of the game. In fact, the fans have been so crucial to the development of The Troop that some of the powerful in-game ace units are named after the game’s most dedicated supporters.

The Troop embraces the best traditions of classic tabletop war gaming combined with the interactivity and excitement the digital format affords. You have complete control over your units’ actions; tanks will not expose their weak side armour with unexpected pathing, hidden guns will not reveal their positions by firing prematurely, infantry will not flee inexplicably when victory is a few heroic paces away. You are free to take your time… but any mistakes are yours and yours alone!

Tom Page, Studio Director, PLA Studios, said:
“It’s great to be able to bring the complete feature set and all 4 campaigns to players. We feel like they really show the game at its best and build upon everything the community has helped us shape over the past 2 years.”
