National Geographic Renews Disney+ Original Series Limitless With Chris Hemsworth

National Geographic announced today the second season pick-up of LIMITLESS WITH CHRIS HEMSWORTH, following the global superstar as he unearths the transformative secrets of improving our lives and unlocking our greatest potential. The second installment comes hot on the heels of a hugely successful first season that inspired millions to explore how to live better longer.

In season one, Hemsworth pushed the limits of his body and mind to discover how fasting can unlock the body’s anti-aging power, how to manage stress so it doesn’t kill you, and how exposure to extreme temperatures can trigger our bodies’ own defenses against the killer diseases of old age, all in a quest to live a longer, healthier life. Now, in this next installment, he’s taking on four more epic challenges on a global journey through Nepal, Italy, Australia, and the United Kingdom to help him — and us — understand how to live not just longer, but better. LIMITLESS creators Darren Aronofsky and Ari Handel of Protozoa Pictures return to executive produce season two; Jane Root and Tom Watt-Smith are executive producers for Nutopia; and Chris Hemsworth and Ben Grayson are executive producers for Wild State.

“Working on LIMITLESS was an eye-opening experience that allowed me to reflect on my strengths, vulnerabilities and all the ways in which we as humans can plan toward longevity,” said Hemsworth. “For this next season, we are attempting to raise the bar and go even deeper in this exploration alongside health and wellness experts from around the globe.”

In season two of LIMITLESS, Hemsworth will delve into a series of physical and mental obstacles that people across the world face daily: mental agility, pain, burnout, and interpersonal connection. Amazing science and intense challenges are the inspiration for experiences that will push Chris to explore and grow as he’s never done before. To do that, Chris will need to travel to the ends of the Earth to uncover the latest scientific thinking and unlock some of the world’s best-kept secrets to living a better life.

Through Hemsworth’s travels, guided by a number of experts, mentors and spiritual leaders, audiences can seek the everyday changes, both big and small, that can allow us to see improved versions of ourselves.

“Millions of viewers around the world were inspired and wowed by the combination of science, endeavor and the incredibly committed Chris Hemsworth in the first season, so it’s with huge pride that we announce its return,” said Tom McDonald, executive vice president, Global Factual and Unscripted Content, National Geographic. “This new season will have the scale, the drama and the challenges you’d expect from LIMITLESS, but we’ve also got some big and exciting surprises in store for the audience and for Chris himself.”

For the second season of LIMITLESS WITH CHRIS HEMSWORTH, Arif Nurmohamed serves as co-executive producer, and Tom Watt-Smith and Jane Root serve as executive producers for Nutopia. Ari Handel and Darren Aronofsky serve as executive producers for Protozoa, and Chris Hemsworth, Ben Grayson and Brandon Hill are executive producers for Wild State. Outer Wilds Soundtrack Now Available on Vinyl

While the acoustic comforts of a home stereo are typically recommended when listening to vinyl, Outer Wilds requires a different setting. You’ll want to lug your audio rig into the wilderness and plant it amongst nature, where you can truly soak yourself in darkness drenched star-gazing.

Composer Andrew Prahlow’s prolific score is the kind of hopeful, transcendent soundtrack that instantly readjusts your demeanor to a state of awe, reminding you just how vast the universe is. There’s no better way to explore your inner self — proverbially roasting marshmallows alongside banjo strumming — than with this beautiful, poignant masterpiece of an album. Even more secrets await within its grooves, but we’d be remiss in revealing those here and spoiling a delightful surprise.

CIG is inviting new and veteran players to play Star Citizen during the first Free Fly event of 2024. From Feb. 8-15, everyone can play for free with access to five diverse ships ranging from the luxury Origin 400i touring ship to MISC’s solo mining vessel, the Prospector. Following December’s Alpha 3.22: Wrecks to Riches update, which features expanded in-game PvP content at Jumptown, new open-world derelict settlements, 20 new and diverse hairstyles, improvements to Arena Commander, and much more, there’s never been a better time to explore the ‘verse! Coinciding with the start of the Free Fly event are two in-game celebrations for citizens; Coramor and the Red Festival, the in-game equivalent of Valentines Day and Lunar New Year. Coramor takes place from Feb. 8-15, celebrating the season of love and commemorating a tragic tale of lovers lost in space. Throughout the event citizens are encouraged to exchange gifts with loved ones, visit their favorite romantic destinations, or send comms into the vastness of space in the hopes of attracting new love. Couples can also join a special ‘Duo Showdown’ mode in the Arena Commander module that’s active throughout the event, achieving relationship goals as they attempt to defeat other pairs of pilots to earn a unique challenge coin. DreadXP to Publish Heartworm in 2025

DreadXP — one of the most recognized horror video game publishers in the industry — recently announced that it has acquired the publishing rights for Heartworm, a retro psychological survival horror game that pays tribute to the low-fidelity look and feel of ‘90s genre classics Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and Dino Crisis.

From developer Vincent Adinolfi, Heartworm is a nostalgia-wrapped nightmare about one girl’s battle with grief and the otherworldly manifestations that may hold the key to the afterlife. Players will pass through the threshold into a world born of memories when Heartworm releases on Steam for Windows PC in 2025.

Driven by her obsession with the deaths of those closest to her, Heartworm protagonist Sam spends her days crawling the internet looking for something — an answer or distraction, perhaps to alleviate her pain. Her morbid research takes her deep into the dark web, where she stumbles upon an internet message board that talks about a mysterious house in the mountains that supposedly has a connection to the afterlife. The board states that no one who has visited the house has ever returned. Internet folklore? Conspiracy theory ramblings? Sam, consumed by her grief, seeks out the house in desperation; consequences be damned.

Heartworm is a game about the memories we keep and the ones we wish we could forget. These themes are expressed through its emotionally charged narrative and early console-era game design, featuring cinematic fixed camera angles, low-rez, retro 3D graphics, and optional tank-style controls. Players will be enveloped in its surreal suburban setting, where they’ll face various ghastly enemies with a weaponized camera (with over-the-shoulder aiming) and solve puzzles. Heartworm additionally features in-game and classically-styled pre-rendered cutscenes, multiple unlockable endings, and a beautiful yet haunting soundtrack.

“Words can’t express how excited I am that DreadXP picked up Heartworm,” said developer Vincent Adinolfi. “There was a lot of uncertainty last year for the game — between the unexpected end of our previous publishing agreement and the general air of uncertainty in the industry, I wasn’t sure I would be able to finish this game that I’ve put everything into.”

Heartworm releases for Windows PC on Steam in 2025. Fans can wishlist the game on Steam and download the demo today.
