UK games publisher Kwalee and independent game studio Fallen Tree Games have announced a new update for The Precinct, a neon-noir action sandbox game. The update is available for free on PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The latest update for The Precinct introduces exciting new features like Tow truck and improved vehicle customization.
Summon a tow truck: Players can now summon a tow truck to remove abandoned vehicles, clearing the streets and restoring traffic flow. Offending vehicles can be sent to the City Impound, the Salvage Yard, or if linked to criminal activity, the Forensic Unit for analysis.
Tow Truck Shift Assignment: The update also introduces a new shift assignment, Tow Detail. Players will be given tow objectives around the city, offering a slower change of pace that’s ideal when they need a break from high-octane activities.
Salvage Yard Machinery: The new salvage yard location features heavy-duty industrial machinery:
A magnetic crane for lifting scrapped vehicles
A vehicle compactor for turning them into cubes of metal
Vehicle Customization – Lightbar: The update also brings a suite of exciting new lightbar configurations to explore and personalise your vehicle, or all vehicles with. Players can mix and match with liveries to find their favorite combinations.
Unmarked Patrol Vehicles: Responding to popular demand, the update introduces Unmarked Patrol Vehicles. When combined with plainclothes outfits, they give officers the perfect tools to operate undercover for extended periods. Each vehicle comes equipped with discreetly concealed lights on the dashboard, rear deck, and grille, ensuring authenticity and immersion.
New Clothing Customizations: To support the new Tow Truck roleplay, players can now choose between two additional clothing options: a Reflective Vest and Coveralls. In addition, Kelly has been given a sharp plainclothes outfit, which will be automatically equipped whenever players select this option.
New music track: The update also debuts a brand-new music track from Gavin Harrison, titled ‘Wrecker Blues’, which has now been added to the game’s digital soundtrack.
For years, my home network has been a battleground. By day, I run a home office that demands stable video conferencing and the constant transfer of large files. By night, I’m a gamer, where every millisecond of latency counts and a 150GB game download is just a regular Tuesday. My trusty consumer-grade mesh system, once a reliable ally, had started to buckle under the pressure. The dreaded lag spikes during a crucial online match or the frozen Zoom screen became all too common. I needed an upgrade—something with more muscle than the usual off-the-shelf gear but without the complexity and cost of a full-blown enterprise system. That’s when I found the EnGenius ECW520, a Wi-Fi 7 access point that promised to be the perfect solution for my dual-life dilemma.
Unboxing the ECW520, I was immediately struck by its clean, minimalist design. It’s a simple, white disc that, once mounted on the ceiling, looks more like a modern smoke detector than a piece of high-tech networking equipment. This was a huge plus for maintaining peace and aesthetic harmony in a shared living space. The real surprise, however, was the setup process. I’ve wrestled with clunky web interfaces and confusing manuals before, but EnGenius made this part almost effortless. Using their mobile app, I simply scanned a QR code on the back of the device, and within ten minutes, it was registered, configured, and online. It’s worth noting that the unit is powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE+), meaning it draws power from the same ethernet cable that provides its data connection. This makes for a very clean installation with a single cable, but it does mean you’ll need a PoE+ capable network switch or a separate injector, as a standard power adapter isn’t included.
Once it was running, the performance difference was night and day. From a gamer’s perspective, the ECW520 is a game-changer. The jump to Wi-Fi 7, especially with the clean 6 GHz band, felt like getting my own private, uncongested highway for gaming traffic. Latency plummeted, and my online matches felt incredibly responsive. The raw speed is also staggering. Even with my current Wi-Fi 6 devices, I was seeing wireless speeds well over a gigabit per second. For those with Wi-Fi 7 capable hardware, tests have shown this access point can push close to 2 Gbps at short range. This translates to downloading massive games in a fraction of the time and streaming 4K content without a hint of buffering, even while other devices are active on the network.
From a work-from-home standpoint, the key benefit has been unwavering stability. The ECW520 is remarkably consistent, even in my neighborhood, which is saturated with competing Wi-Fi signals from every direction. My video calls are now crystal clear, and large file uploads to my home server are faster than ever, thanks to the 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port that ensures my wired backbone can keep up with the wireless speeds. The true power, however, lies in the management capabilities. The EnGenius Cloud platform, which is completely free to use, gives me a level of control I never had with consumer routers. I was able to easily create separate networks: one for my work devices, a guest network for visitors, another for our family’s personal phones and laptops, and a segmented network just for my sometimes-unsecure smart home gadgets. This separation is fantastic for both performance and security, ensuring my work laptop isn’t on the same network as a smart toaster.
Ultimately, what makes the EnGenius ECW520 so compelling is its incredible value. At a retail price of around $189, it delivers next-generation Wi-Fi 7 performance and enterprise-grade management features for the same cost as many previous-generation Wi-Fi 6 access points or high-end consumer routers. It perfectly occupies that sweet spot for the “prosumer”—the power user who has outgrown consumer hardware but doesn’t need or want the expense of a full enterprise deployment. It has definitively won the war on my home network, providing a fast, stable, and secure foundation for both my professional life and my gaming passion. It’s a future-proof investment that I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone in a similar situation.
Overall Score 5 out of 5
Pros:
Exceptional Wi-Fi 7 performance at an affordable price.
Powerful and intuitive cloud management platform with no subscription fees.
Incredibly simple and fast setup process.
Provides a stable and consistent connection ideal for both work and gaming.
Cons:
Requires a separate purchase of a PoE+ switch or injector to power the device.
As a 2×2 access point, it may not support the same client density as more expensive 4×4 models in very crowded environments.
When War Mechanic was first unveiled in October 2024, Chronospace introduced it as a quirky dieselpunk simulator—part base builder, part resource manager, and part tongue-in-cheek alternate-history adventure. Players stepped into the role of a military mechanic tasked with reviving a crumbling base, automating its systems with robots, and pushing capitalism onto the front lines of a World War II that never really ended. Its promise lay in blending satire, strategy, and retro-inspired aesthetics into a survival-tinged management sim.
Check out the Original War Mechanic Reveal Trailer
Fast forward eleven months, and War Mechanic has been re-revealed as something far larger, darker, and more ambitious. Chronospace has transformed it into a full systems-driven action-adventure, blending survival mechanics, vehicle combat, production automation, and narrative exploration. Backed by industry veterans from The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, and Dark Souls, the game now boasts a grittier vision powered by Unreal Engine 5.5, complete with photorealistic environments, sprawling biomes, hostile factions, and modular machines of war.
And Now, Check out the NEW War Mechanic Gameplay Trailer
Most significantly, War Mechanic now carries the narrative weight of acclaimed writers Jacek Komuda and Maciej Jurewicz, who have layered the survival sandbox with a deeply personal story set on the war-scarred Nordook Island. Players aren’t just managers anymore—they’re Jack Wallace, a lone mechanic caught in a conspiracy that twists ever darker as the world reacts to their choices.
From a quirky sim to a sprawling, story-driven survival adventure, War Mechanic has grown into a bold statement of Chronospace’s ambition, proving just how much a vision can evolve in less than a year.
Players step into the boots of Jack Wallace, a lone mechanic stranded on Nordook Island, a war-torn frontier where relics of endless conflict clash with unchecked technology. Here, every scavenged part, every improvised weapon, and every rebuilt machine could mean the difference between life and death.
The new re-reveal introduces redesigned zones, hostile enemy factions, sprawling biomes, and a fully expanded global map. The game pushes players beyond their base and into dangerous, unexplored territories brimming with conspiracies, eccentric NPCs, and rogue war machines.
War Mechanic’s world reacts to player choices—expand your base with workbenches, modules, and automation systems, or venture into combat with modular vehicles and deployable defense bots. Fight with FPS precision, defend with automated systems, and unravel a layered conspiracy that grows darker the deeper you go.

In 1997, from deep in the heart of Japan’s manga scene, mangaka Hisao Tamaki set out with an extraordinary goal: to capture the spirit of Star Wars: A New Hope — not just retelling the story, but reimagining the landmark motion picture through the lens of manga. The result was a bold, unforgettable adaptation that ultimately earned Tamaki the prestigious Eisner Award for Best U.S. Edition of Foreign Material. Now, nearly three decades later, Dark Horse Comics and Lucasfilm are proud to present a Kickstarter campaign for The Art of Star Wars: A New Hope—The Manga, a stunning, deluxe book that showcases Tamaki’s original never-before-seen art boards. A retail edition arrives in Summer 2026, but fans can secure exclusive Kickstarter-only editions–and receive them before retail release. Fans can support the project on Kickstarter now.
“This is Star Wars like you’ve never seen it,” said Dark Horse President, Founder and CEO Mike Richardson. “We’re sharing Hisao Tamaki’s legendary manga with fans in an edition that not only showcases the art, but also offers an unprecedented glimpse into the creative process behind it.”
Remembering the project’s beginnings, Tamaki said: “The editor in charge of the project [at the time…] asked, ‘Would you like to draw Star Wars?’ and with zero hesitation or second thought, I responded, ‘A New Hope? Absolutely!’I have to draw Star Wars.”
In 1977, the world was changed by the release of George Lucas’s seminal science-fantasy epic. Fascinating characters, groundbreaking special effects, and breathtaking action affected audiences in ways that movies never had before and seldom have since. Twenty years later, Hisao Tamaki adapted the films in his own singular style that allowed legions of Star Wars fans to enjoy their favorite story in an exciting new way. Now, Dark Horse has meticulously scanned and assembled Tamaki-sensei’s original art boards to chronicle and showcase the creation of a unique artifact of popular culture.
The book is available through Kickstarter in multiple deluxe editions, including:
The Collector’s Edition is a two-volume hardcover set presenting Tamaki’s artwork in high resolution, with Kickstarter-exclusive cover and a new English translation that’s taken directly from Tamaki’s handwritten Japanese text. This edition is perfect for fans looking to read the masterful adaptation for the first time, with the new translation included in the margins to preserve the original Japanese lettering. The books are printed on archival-quality stock to showcase Tamaki’s intricate linework and rich tones. While a retail version featuring a different cover will be available in 2026, the Kickstarter-exclusive Collector’s Edition features exclusive designs distinguished by bold use of blue and red —a visual nod to the light and dark sides of the Force, as well as special treatments that will not be offered anywhere else.
The Collector’s Edition – Tamaki Variant is a minimalist, art-forward reinterpretation of the Collector’s Edition, limited to 260 sets.
The Collector’s Edition + Slipcase. The complete two-volume Collector’s Edition, presented with a custom black slipcase.
Deluxe Signed Collector’s Edition. An extremely limited version of the Collector’s Edition—only 250 sets will be produced exclusively for Kickstarter backers.
The Masterpiece Edition is a large-format, premium release that faithfully presents Hisao Tamaki’s original work, with high-resolution reproductions of his unaltered art at its original size—10.85” x 15.05”. Collected in a faux-leather clamshell case, the two 176-page volumes of this edition are accompanied by a separate 104-page companion book that contains a new translation of the authentic Japanese lettering, which itself was inspired by the alternate language dub of the film that has been enjoyed by Japanese-speaking audiences for generations. The Masterpiece Edition format is only available through Kickstarter and will not be produced for retail.
The Signed Masterpiece Edition, a definitive version of the Masterpiece Edition featuring special enhancements, limited to only 250 sets worldwide.
The Signed Darth Vader Masterpiece Edition (Limited to 25), the rarest edition of the campaign, limited to only 25 sets worldwide to backers, combining the full Masterpiece Edition with exclusive Darth Vader-inspired features.
As part of the campaign, fans can also purchase the Tamaki Art Print Set, a curated set of six prints featuring standout pages from Hisao Tamaki’s Star Wars: A New Hope manga. While the artwork is black and white, each print is reproduced in full color to capture every nuance of the art boards— from fine pencil marks and paste-ups to editorial notes and the natural aging of the paper. Fans can also select the Tamaki Art Triptych Folio, a large-format, three-panel folio designed to match the height of the Masterpiece Edition, containing two complete triptych print sets.
“The deluxe Kickstarter-exclusives offer fans an opportunity to revisit the classic adventure through new eyes and in a fresh voice,” said Mike Richardson.
Fans can look forward to the standard edition of The Art of Star Wars: A New Hope—The Manga arriving in comic shops and bookstores in Summer 2026–or support the Kickstarter to receive exclusive editions ahead of retail launch.
