Schulz comic strips. Throughout the park, guests will have plenty of chances to play and interact with their favorite PEANUTS characters.

The Peanuts Gang has teamed up with the indie band, The Jelly of the Month Club, for a high-energy spectacle sure to have everyone dancing.

The PEANUTS-inspired festivities will continue at the Bird Cage Theatre as the park offers an experience that teaches the young and the young at heart how to draw their favorite PEANUTS characters. The PEANUTS Sketch School will include our resident art teacher, providing step-by-step instructions on creating the perfect PEANUTS masterpiece. Also in Bird Cage Theatre will be Charlie Brown’s Trivia Challenge, where guests can test their knowledge with PEANUTS universe questions and eye-popping visual challenges.

A western escapade occurs with Franklin and Linus at Calico Park as they transform into cowboys in the PEANUTS Cowboy Jamboree. The boys are looking to challenge guests with some of Calico’s root-toot-tootiest games. Also in Ghost Town is Pigpen’s Pig Pen, where everyone’s favorite messy pal will join the rest of the PEANUTS Gang as he hosts a special meetup at the Livery Stables with some of his animal friends.

Throughout the park, guests will not only be able to meet, greet, and play with the PEANUTS gang, but also enjoy nearly a dozen different family and kid-friendly rides and attractions around the park including Calico Mine Ride, Knott’s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair and the Carrusel de California. World of Warships Kicks Off 2024 with American Aircraft Carriers

Wargaming, the publisher and developer of the leading naval battle MMO World of Warships, is kicking off the New Year with a new line of U.S. Aircraft Carriers in Early Access. The game’s first update of 2024 also sees the continued construction of Italian cruiser Michelangelo in the Dockyard, a new take on Bounty Hunt, the return of popular hololive production collaboration content, as well as a return of Ranked Battles and Brawls.

U.S. Aircraft Carriers Land in Early Access

Kicking off Update 13.0 is a new line of U.S. Aircraft Carriers in Early Access, adding three new ships: Tier VI Independence, Tier VIII Yorktown, and Tier X Essex. This range of ships play differently as they are limited to one standard squadron, the torpedo bombers supplemented with two tactical squadrons consisting of attack and dive bomber aircraft. Starting at Tier VIII, the tactical squadrons are equipped with the new Smoke Curtain Generator consumable, allowing them to bring a new tactical depth in battle.

To mark this new line, a special U.S. Aircraft Carriers event will take place. Progressing through 20 levels of daily and weekly missions, players can unlock an array of rewards including commemorative flags, camouflages, and Containers. But it doesn’t end there, as players will have the option to unlock an additional progression line packed with 20 more levels.

Bounty Hunt, Brawls and Battles galore!

The latest iteration of the Bounty Hunt event is set to return to the game on February 1. Packed with plenty of rewards, four new achievements, major changes, and access to the Star Emissaries collection, this version is not to be missed! Available via random bundles, players can unlock a number of bonuses and Star Emissaries content including two different ships, STAR Kitakaze and STAR Edinburgh, and two Commanders each equipped with 10 skill points.

Update 13.0 welcomes Season 15 and the return of Ranked Battles on January 10, and three new Brawls beginning January 15. As always, Brawls will see varying rule sets to challenge the most daring of teams in their pursuit of naval dominance!

For those looking to complete something a bit less combative and a bit more constructive, the building continues at the Sestri Ponente Dockyard, rewarding dedicated players with Tier IX Italian cruiser Michelangelo.

Hololive production returns to World of Warships

As part of Update 13.0, World of Warships welcomes back hololive production to the game with a resale of top content! Popular VTubers such as Shishiro Botan, Moona Hoshinova, Takanashi Kiara, Watson Amelia, and more will once again be available as Commanders, ready to lead fleets to victory. Running for two weeks beginning February 2, 2024, the resale will also include consumable skins, flags, and a camo bundle for hololive production fans to enjoy.

Mosqitter Shows Off The Mini, a Compact Eco-Friendly Mosquito Control Solution, at CES 2024

Mosqitter, a Ukrainian women-founded tech company, recognized for pioneering eco-friendly solutions to decrease mosquito nuisances and to combat mosquito-borne diseases, unveiled the Mini, a compact version of their industrial-scale Grand, designed for smaller outdoor spaces.

Collaborating with entomologists, engineers from Mosqitter integrated the four human elements that attract mosquitoes: CO2 from breathing, heat signatures from our bodies, UV light at a specific wavelength emitted by humans, and scent. The R&D team developed the Grand mosquito trap optimizing attraction across these four elements leveraging smart technology with no toxic chemicals to reduce mosquito populations by 93% within a 2 acre-radius.* Mosqitter Grand has been deployed across five continents and was instrumental in safeguarding global leaders at the G20 Summit in New Delhi.

“Our goal is to deliver smart solutions that seamlessly integrate hardware and software, creating secure environments to protect people’s health. We provide our response to climate action by offering eco-friendly products designed to combat mosquitoes and other harmful insects in a green way,” said Anastasiia Romanova, CEO of Mosqitter.

Building on the Grand’s success in large residences and businesses like resorts and restaurants, Mosqitter identified a need for a compact version for smaller home spaces, resulting in the development of the Mosqitter Mini.

Similar to the Grand, the Mini optimizes four attraction elements to trap mosquitoes and other flying pests without toxic chemicals, while avoiding harm to beneficial insects like butterflies and bees. The Mini operates with a 4X** higher efficiency compared to other traps and zappers, all while operating silently without any buzzing or zapping noises.

The Mosqitter Mini is suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. Weighing only 4 pounds and standing at 13.7 inches tall, it can be hung or placed on a flat surface. Highly efficient and energy-saving, consuming only 35 watts, the Mini will be available for sale in Fall 2024 with a $149.99 MSRP. The Grand, priced at $1,999.99 MSRP, and the Mini will be showcased at Mosqitter’s CES booth on January 9-12, 2024, at the Venetian Expo, Tech West, Level 2, Booth 50117.

xMEMS Labs to Demonstrate Cutting-Edge Sleep Buds Reference Design

MEMS audio and semiconductor pioneer xMEMS Labs today announced an innovative reference design for the fast-growing sleep buds product segment that will be available for demonstration at CES 2024 (Venetian Suite 29-235) from January 9-12 in Las Vegas.

The reference design utilizes the company’s patented Skyline DynamicVent technology to deliver improved comfort and automatic ambient control using a physical vent and DSP noise detection.

According to xMEMS VP of Marketing and Business Development Mike Housholder, the purpose of the design is to demonstrate how such technologies can power a new generation of sleep buds that provide sound isolation with closed vents to assist sleep, while also enabling enhanced comfort through open vents when ambient noise is low.

“Today’s sleep buds typically rely on noise masking sounds from a legacy coil speaker and noise blocking from a silicone or foam eartip,” Housholder said. “However, these eartips occlude the ear and amplify self-generated noises such as your own breathing, snoring or your ear rubbing against the pillow. Our Skyline DynamicVent leverages a noise-detecting microphone and DSP to vent the ear and reduce these occlusion effects that could disrupt sleep. But when outside noise is detected, the vent will close to achieve the best noise isolation. All told, this technology takes the sleep buds category to new levels of usability and more importantly, comfort.”

Skyline can be closed for superior noise blocking, or opened to vent the ear and reduce occlusion effects. If required, during times of louder noises, xMEMS’ Cowell MEMS micro speaker can also be turned on to provide noise-masking sounds that work in conjunction with the noise blocking eartips and closed vent.

The reference design is available to xMEMS partners, customers and equipment manufacturers to serve as a starting point for their own product innovations. The design consists of a pair of tiny wireless earbuds and a charging case, similar to consumer true wireless earbuds. Inside the earbuds are the xMEMS Cowell micro speaker, the Skyline DynamicVent, a MEMS microphone and a Qualcomm QCC5171 true wireless stereo system-on-chip for Bluetooth connectivity and DSP functions.

Attendees who visit the xMEMS suite at CES 2024 will also get to experience other revolutionary solutions, including:

  • Cypress: World’s first ultrasonic amplitude modulation speaker to achieve >140dB low frequency SPL for ANC True Wireless Stereo earbuds. (By appointment only)
  • Presidio: Two-way, over-ear headphone reference design using a 35mm dynamic driver for bass and xMEMS Cowell or Montara Plus as a tweeter for superior mids and highs. Both xMEMS products provide high speed and phase coherence to significantly improve the soundstage and ensure pinpoint positioning of individual instruments for music or background sound effects for modern gaming.
  • 2-way true wireless earbuds: Creative Aurvana Ace2 and Noble Audio Falcon Max using xMEMS Cowell tweeter.
  • Cowell is the world’s smallest solid-state micro speaker and delivers superior high-frequency response and clarity, plus a wider sound stage, for TWS earphones and hearing aids. Montara Plus, the world’s highest output MEMS micro speaker, is capable of sound pressure levels up to 120 dB @ 200 Hz, making it an ideal full-bandwidth transducer for audiophile-grade in-ear monitors and high-end over-ear headphones.

“CES is the premiere destination to launch and demo the technologies that will shape not only the products we buy, but the processes behind how those products are produced,” Housholder concluded. “Through sleep buds and various other reference designs at CES 2024, xMEMS is demonstrating how our world-first all-silicon, monolithic MEMS micro speakers and DynamicVent products deliver exceptional sound quality, comfort, and style for consumers, while unlocking new efficiencies for manufacturers through our solid state semiconductor manufacturing process – which delivers a better sounding speaker with far greater production efficiency and product uniformity.”

DreadOut 2 Out Now on Nintendo Switch

Singapore-based publisher Soft Source Publishing and Indonesian developer Digital Happiness are pleased to announce the digital release of DreadOut 2 via the Nintendo eShop on 18th January 2024.

A popular franchise in Indonesia since the first DreadOut release in 2014, Nintendo Switch owners will finally get their hands on the latest entry in the series that was originally released in 2020 – the game deemed too scary for Western audiences. Play as Linda, a high school student with a supernatural power – the ability to sense and see ghosts.

Using this power, Linda must hunt the nightmarish spirits and dark forces that threaten not only her hometown but all of mankind. This spine-chilling sequel expands on the cult hit original with all-new melee combat and a greater emphasis on puzzles and exploration, with the ability to use Linda’s smartphone as a weapon against the evil entities setting DreadOut 2 apart from other horror releases.

  • Banish them all! Hunt and defeat intangible ghosts with Linda’s smartphone camera, or use melee weapons and projectiles against physical ghosts
  • A world of dread: Explore Linda’s hometown and beyond, talk to residents (alive and dead!), complete side-quests, and delve deeper into DreadOut lore
  • Discover ghosts and urban legends: Search out spirits and uncover local myths to complete the Ghostpedia app on Linda’s smartphone
  • Terrifying boss spirits: Keep your nerve as you battle the supernatural realm’s most hostile ghosts, including the chilling Kuntilanak, and horrifying Gore Surgeon

“With Dreadout 2, we really wanted to build on what makes this horror franchise unique,” said Rachmad Imron of Digital Happiness. “This sequel contains more Indonesian folklore found through its enemy design and throughout the story, and of course, plenty of emphasis on the smartphone mechanic. We’re excited that the game is coming to Switch, and we think that players will enjoy the many improvements over the original game.”

“We’re extremely excited that more players will soon be able to get their hands on DreadOut 2,” said Bernard Lim of Soft Source Publishing. “We and the team at Digital Happiness are very proud of the game and its success in Asia, and I’m particularly interested to see what Switch owners in the west make of it!”
