Welcome to ParadiZe Story Trailer

NACON and Eko Software are pleased to announce that Welcome to ParadiZe is now available for digital preorder. To mark the occasion, the studio is sharing a new trailer featuring Jeff Tusk, one of the main characters in Welcome to ParadiZe. A playable demo will also be available for free on Steam, at the Steam Next Fest, from 29 January at 09:00 GMT to 12 February 2024. This will enable players to check out the first two hours of this game combining survival, combat, crafting and RPG, all set in a madcap open world, before its final release on 29 February 2024, on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

In ParadiZe, the zombies do all the dirty work. They take care of the tough jobs and protect the survivors, thanks to the revolutionary hacking helmet technology developed by Tusk Group. As survivors of the apocalypse, the players find themselves in this supposedly idyllic town expecting to lead a life safe from wild zombie attacks. Unfortunately, not everything seems to have gone as planned. On the ground, they have to deal with a bunch of unruly locals, each weirder than the last, zombified fauna and a wide variety of environments, each with their own dangers. The hacking helmet technology will be their best asset in for battling through such a madcap and chaotic scenario.

Racket Club VR Review – Fun Gameplay and Workout

Racket Club VR, developed by Resolution Games, is a new virtual reality sports game that takes inspiration from tennis, squash, and badminton to create a unique and physically engaging experience. Players step onto the court, armed with a virtual racket, and compete in matches against AI opponents or other players online. With its intuitive controls, immersive gameplay, and social features, Racket Club VR has quickly become a popular choice for VR enthusiasts.

The core gameplay of Racket Club VR is fantastic. Combining elements from different racket sports creates a fresh and exciting experience that is easy to pick up but challenging to master. The physics are spot-on, and the feeling of hitting the ball with a well-timed swing is incredibly satisfying.

Racket Club VR does a great job of transporting you to the virtual court. The environments are detailed and vibrant, and the sound effects are immersive. The game uses your VR headset’s tracking to accurately reflect your movements in the game, making you feel like you are truly controlling your virtual avatar.

One of the best things about Racket Club VR is the ability to play with friends online. Whether you are working together in doubles matches or battling it out head-to-head, the social aspect of the game adds a lot of fun and replayability. Additionally, Racket Club VR is a great way to get a workout. The game requires you to move around a lot, and you will definitely work up a sweat after a few matches.

While the core gameplay is great, there is not a lot of content in the launch version of Racket Club VR. There are only a few courts and game modes, which can get repetitive after a while. Also, you’ll need to make sure you have enough space to play the game and make full use of the court. If you’re space is too limiting, you might end up banging your hands into various, REAL objects.

Racket Club VR is a fun and immersive VR sports game with a lot of potential at a reasonable price of $24.99. The core gameplay is excellent, and the social features are a great addition. However, the lack of content and some assorted bugs hold the game back from being truly great. If you are excited by the innovative new sport concept and enjoy a good physical workout in VR, Racket Club VR is definitely worth checking out.

RIPOUT: the Gear Up Update Trailer

3D Realms and Pet Project Games are excited to announce the second Steam Early Access content drop for RIPOUT: the Gear Up Update. This new update adds multiple facets to RIPOUT’s content repertoire with two new sets of gear complete with their own buffs and a sharp new katana to aid in the efficient maiming of your enemies. But that isn’t all; this update also contains a new hazard, new pet support mods, and perhaps most importantly, the ability to join public games while they’re in progress.

The Gear Up Update is live today along with multiple new bug fixes and improvements, specifically concerning enemy behavior and the feel of your various weapons.

In RIPOUT, you’ll face off against mutant monstrosities transformed by Cell, a human-made biological weapon that has turned its sights on its creators, able to adapt their bodies in grotesque ways. Use your trusty biomechanical Pet Gun to gain a tactical advantage over your enemies by ripping weaponry off them while exploring procedurally generated derelict spaceships, collecting loot, and customizing your character to survive whatever dangers lurk around the corner.

The Gear Up Update Features:

  • New Gear Sets: Covert Ops and Moth suits, each with a unique set of buffs for each piece of the garment.

  • New Hazard – Blaster Turret: The blaster turret is a projectile weapon that will spawn a blaster critter upon destruction.
  • New Pet Support Mods: Three new pet support mods have been added. Each is a passive modification for the pet gun that will trigger either an EMP, fire or acid type-damage in a radius around the player.
  • Join Public Games in Progress: One of the most requested features of the community, players will be able to join public games that are currently in progress, making it easier to make new friends and find games while playing RIPOUT.
  • Additional Features: The Gear Up Update also brings improvements to gunplay and enemy behavior, as well as new enemy animations.

ALIENS: WHAT IF…? Comic Series Announced

For decades, What If…? has allowed creators to put bold twists on classic Marvel Universe stories. This March, this beloved comic series format enters the groundbreaking—and terrifying—world of Alien for the first time in ALIENS: WHAT IF…?.

The five-issue comic series will take readers back to the events of the franchise’s historic original sequel, Aliens, to ask the question, “What If… Carter Burke has lived?” The actor behind the 1987 film’s beloved villain, Paul Reiser, joins his son Leon and the star-studded team of writers and producers Adam F. Goldberg (The Goldbergs), Brian Volk-Weiss (The Toys That Made Us) and Hans Rodionoff (Damage Control) for this pulse-pounding journey back to Hadley’s Hope and the twisted escape of a man who should have died. On art duties is Guiu Villanova, known for providing intergalactic excellence on titles like Cosmic Ghost Rider and Eternals. The saga will further explore the nature of the man who infamously betrayed Ripley and the lengths he’s willing to go to get his hands on the deadliest species in the galaxy…

For years, fans of James Cameron’s legendary Aliens questioned whether Carter Burke, a company man more hateable than the Xenomorphs themselves, had actually survived the traumatic events on the terraforming colony Hadley’s Hope. Thirty-five years later, Burke is eeking out a cursed existence on a backwater asteroid. With his once-promising career in the toilet, Burke’s only remaining purpose in life is to care for his daughter, Brie. She hates him, probably for being a horrible person. And when she finds out what he’s up to now? It’s not going to be a friendly reunion. Has Burke learned his lesson, or is he about to get all of his companions killed again?

On the chance to revisit the character’s motives, Reiser said, “For years, people have asked me about Burke, what it was like to play such a ‘bad guy,’ to which my response was always ‘You say ‘bad’, I say ‘misunderstood.’ Now the world will find out!”

Check out Phil Noto’s first two ALIENS: WHAT IF…? covers now and keep a lookout for more details about the series in the months ahead.
