Free League Publishing has announced that a Kickstarter for Replicant Rebellion, a mammoth expansion for the award-winning Blade Runner: The Roleplaying Game, is launching on May 28, 2024!
Replicant Rebellion massively expands the scope of the critically acclaimed tabletop RPG, recruiting players to join the ranks of the Replicant Underground in Los Angeles 2037. Set at the same time and place as the Core Rulebook, players explore this neon-noir cityscape from the opposite perspective – now running from Blade Runners in an evocative cat & mouse race of provocateurs and powder kegs lit to explode, expose, and oppose the establishment, one way or another.
For the Rebellion, players will run their own independent crew who must undertake a variety of operations, all while attempting to maintain their cover and keep their records clean. Are they helping fugitive Replicants evade capture? Sabotaging the Replicant trade? Grappling with the cops, courts, and megacorps? Clashing with warring crews and syndicates? Smoking out moles in your midst? On June 11th, director Anthony Waller’s cult horror classic Mute Witness arrives in both 4K UHD and Blu-ray Limited Edition sets featuring a 4K restoration approved by Waller himself (An American Werewolf in Paris). The plot revolves around a mute make-up artist named Billy Hughes, who is in Russia working on a low-budget slasher film. Today, Prime Video announced it has ordered a new series based on the iconic Tomb Raider video game franchise as part of a deal between Crystal Dynamics and Amazon MGM Studios. The series will be written and produced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
This exciting news comes after Crystal Dynamics and Amazon Games previously announced a collaboration to develop and publish a new multiplatform Tomb Raider video game. The as-yet untitled game is a single-player, narrative-driven adventure that will add a new chapter to Lara Croft’s story in the Tomb Raider series.
