Star Trucker and Zet Zillions Available through End of Steam Next Fest

Raw Fury’s highly anticipated space trucking simulator, Star Trucker and roguelike deckbuilder, Zet Zillions are available to play through Steam Next Fest, which runs now until Monday, February 12 at 10am PT / 1pm ET.

Star Trucker blends the popular truck sim genre with a new and unique element: space! Take control of an intergalactic big rig in a galaxy with a retro-futuristic Americana vibe. Haul cargo, trade salvage and search for fame and fortune among the stars.

  • Through the Steam Next Fest demo, players can explore four sectors of the space highway and utilize the Paint Shop with options to customize their truck.
  • Raw Fury will also host two live streams on Steam, where players can find out more about the game. This includes a Q&A Session with Jay Britton, one of the voice actors in the game, on Tuesday, February 6 at 8AM PT / 5PM CET and a demo stream on Thursday, February 8 at 9AM PT / 6PM CET.

Zet Zillions is a single-player, story-based roguelike deckbuilder – and space extravaganza! Players use cards to conquer planets, helping Foam Gun and her planet-ship Baby Violence navigate vast space maps for a new home for humanity.

  • Through the Steam Next Fest demo, players can dive into the new Zet Zillions demo, which includes general improvements to the previously available playtest, including updated population mechanics and balance, new art and fusions, UI tweaks and more.
  • Raw Fury will also host two live streams on Steam, including a demo stream on Tuesday, February 6 at 9AM PT / 6PM CET, and a watch-and-learn stream on the basics of deckbuilding on Thursday, February 8 at 8AM PT / 5PM CET.

Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration Announces Charlie Brown Day

On Sunday, February 11, Knott’s is celebrating Good Ol’ Charlie Brown by hosting a Charlie Brown Day during the Knott’s PEANUTS™ Celebration. The park invites guests during this special time of year to join in on all the excitement as the Peanuts Gang takes over. To show everyone’s favorite underdog just how special he is, attendees will be encouraged to pay homage to Charlie Brown by sporting his signature bright yellow zig-zag striped tee, black shorts and red baseball cap outfit. At 12:30pm on the Calico Mine Stage, the PEANUTS characters will perform the musical game show It’s Your Life, Charlie Brown, with the loveable title character getting the surprise of his life. After the show, all guests dressed as Charlie Brown will be invited to gather around the stage for a photo opportunity posing alongside the boy of the hour.

All guests in attendance will also receive a button commemorating Charlie Brown’s special day, while supplies last. The Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration is taking place now through February 25.

World of Warships Celebrates Year of the Dragon

Wargaming, the publisher and developer of the leading naval battle MMO World of Warships, is celebrating the Year of the Dragon with plenty of fiery content for Lunar New Year! Featuring a brand-new Lunar New Year Event Pass that features two progression lines, players can dive into a special collaboration with content creator TheRussianBadger. This jam-packed update also sees submarine and anti-submarine warfare changes, the return of Airship Escort, and a new campaign featuring USS Enterprise.

To usher in the Year of the Dragon, World of Warships has introduced a brand-new Event Pass to commemorate the occasion. Packed with two progression lines split across 20 levels each, players can unlock an array of rewards, including Lunar Warrior camouflages, Commanders, special containers, flags, economic bonuses and more!

Of the progression lines available, one line features content made in collaboration with popular YouTuber and Twitch streamer, TheRussianBadger. Rewards include a beautifully designed CLAWSTROPHOBIC commemorative flag, a special TheRussianBadgerCommander equipped with a unique voiceover, and the USS LOBSTERMINATOR permanent camouflage for New Mexico.

Submarines and Anti-Submarine Warfare Updates

February’s update also brings a plethora of changes to improve interactions between submarines. Submarines and surface ship Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) will be receiving refreshes, with certain lines receiving the “Depth Charge Airstrike” consumable, and the “Submarine Surveillance” consumable.

Collision warning messages will now also appear for submerged submarines. If players are within two kilometres of another underwater submarine they will be notified, even if the enemy vessel cannot be visibly seen. Additionally, the turning circle radius of all submarines has been improved, allowing players to manoeuvre and reposition themselves with ease in the heat of battle.

The Return of Airship Escort and a New Campaign for USS Enterprise

Airship Escort lands back in the game as a temporary game type for two weeks. Beginning February 22, two teams of 12 will work together to guide their allied airship to its designated destination, all while protecting it from opponents. Victory can be achieved either by reaching the terminus or eliminating every enemy vessel off the battlefield.

Rounding out World of Warships’ February update is a special event dedicated to Tier VIIIpremium aircraft сarrier USS Enterprise. Running for six weeks, Enterprise: The Grey Ghost Campaign gives players the opportunity to advance through mission chains, earning various rewards such as a USS Enterprise flag, Grey Ghost patch, and Enterprise tokens that can be used in the Armoury. Upon completing the campaign, players will unlock the ability to get the USS Enterprise via the Armoury or Premium Shop.

2024 Saturn Award Winners Announced

The Saturn Awards show was abuzz last night with A-list celebrities arriving to celebrate the best of the best in genre entertainment commemorated only by The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror since its inception in 1972. Hosted for the second year in a row by actor/comedian Joel McHale, star of DC’s Stargirl and Community, the event was heavily attended by Hollywood stars supporting and contributing to honor the exceptional body of work and talent in these categories of entertainment, most often overlooked by other Award Shows. The 51st Annual Saturn Awards took place last night (February 4, 2024) at the L.A. MARRIOTT BURBANK AIRPORT HOTEL and was available for fans to watch live on ElectricNOW, the premium OTT app and FAST channel from Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment. Fans who missed the event can watch it on the streaming channel as it reruns the momentous event throughout the month.

Christopher Nolan was presented with The Saturn’s Visionary Award by “Oppenheimer” co-star Emily Blunt who won Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film.  The legendary pop icon William Shatner presented Seth MacFarlane with the prestigious Robert Forster Artists Award and Dave Filoni received his George Pal Memorial Award by Ming-Na Wen who won last year’s  Best TV Actress for her role in “The Book of Boba Fett.” Keanu Reeves was in attendance to receive the very first Lance Reddick Legacy Award, presented to him by Titus Welliver star of “Bosch” and “Bosch: Legacy” and Jodie Foster was presented with The Life Career Award by Issa López, writer and director of the fourth season of “True Detective: Night Country.”

V Rising PlayStation 5 Announcement Trailer

Swedish game developer Stunlock Studios has announced that their hotly anticipated open-world fantasy survival game V Rising will be coming exclusively to PlayStation 5 later this year.

Following V Rising’s rewarding Early Access period on PC with more than 3.9M copies sold and sitting on an impressive 88% positive reviews on Steam, the PlayStation launch marks V Rising and Stunlock Studio’s first step in expanding beyond the PC space into the world of consoles. Partnering with Sony and with additional support from Auroch Digital, Stunlock Studios has focused on creating optimal console gameplay with UI improvements, DualSense game controller support, and a much smoother overall experience that will benefit all players regardless of their platform choice.

Darfall Announcement Trailer

Paradox Interactive, a publisher and developer of deep and strategic games for cerebral players, today announces their collaboration with SquareNite to publish Darfall, a roleplaying strategy game with settlement-building mechanics that will be released in Early Access in 2024 under the Paradox Arc publishing initiative.

Darfall is a strategy game where you take control of a hero who must explore and adventure through the land to gain power while simultaneously managing a nascent village in its efforts to expand and grow into a larger town. However, as the sun sets, the dark forces plaguing the land unleash their minions against your base and it is your job as a hero to take a stand in defense of its home.
