Assassin’s Creed Shadows Original Game Soundtrack Out Now

Ubisoft announces the immediate release of the first album of Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Original Game Soundtrack. Composed by The Flight, this first album is now available worldwide on most music platforms. Two other music albums composed by Teke::Teke and Thunderdrum feat. Tiggs Da Author will be available after the launch of Assassin’s Creed Shadows on March 20th.

The music duo The Flight, made up of Joe Henson and Alexis Smith, who previously worked on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, are returning to compose the original score music for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Blending the authenticity of traditional Japanese instruments with modern music techniques throughout the album, they worked closely with the teams at Ubisoft to create a grand musical landscape for the game’s setting, and the characters’ stories. For instance, “Steel and Shadows”, an action rendition of Naoe’s theme featuring the Tsuchibue, Koto, Taiko and the voice of Akari MOCHIZUKI, provides an epic backdrop for her noble aspirations and inner conflict, as she must decide her path forward.

“Feudal Japan—a long-awaited setting for Assassin’s Creed fans—finally comes to life in Shadows, and we eagerly embraced the opportunity to re-enter the Animus and collaborate with Ubisoft Quebec. Assassin’s Creed Shadows Will be Verified on Steam Deck at Launch

We have some exciting news to share: our talented developers gave Steam Deck players the option to play Assassin’s Creed Shadows at launch ; despite initially announcing we wouldn’t be able to support until later. Indeed, the team made great progress over the past few weeks and was able to make it happen for launch, despite the fact the team thought it would not be the case. It is now fully confirmed the game is “Steam Deck verified” for launch on March 20th.

We know many of you who play on Steam Deck have requested this, so we’re thrilled to be able to bring Shadows to this platform. While graphical settings will be locked at launch, you’ll be able to choose the upscalers you want, and we’re looking into providing further options in future updates.

Steam players will also be able to enjoy Assassin’s Creed Shadows Achievements from day one, and you can find the full list of achievements here. You can also check out the collectible virtual trading cards, badges, emoticons, and background images coming exclusively to Steam.
