Today, KOEI TECMO and developer Kou Shibusawa launched their military and historical simulation, NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening Complete Edition, across Nintendo Switch™ 2 and PlayStation®5. A culmination of the series’ 40-year history, players attempt to accomplish Nobunaga Oda’s unachieved ambition to unify Japan through a series of escalating war strategies and diplomacy.
NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening Complete Edition is the complete edition of NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening, which was released in July 2023 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the historic series. It includes all downloadable content except collaboration DLC’s, supports 4K resolution (PS5 version only), features improved 3D rendering quality, and added mouse support. Additionally, it includes six new scenarios, including “The Birth of Nobunaga,” a large-scale battle mode called “Decisive Battles” where powerful clans fight for each other’s domains, and new character traits, enhancing the overall experience as players take on the role of a powerful Japanese leader in the troubled and tumultuous times of the Warring States Period, 16th century Japan.
In the new feature, “Decisive Battles,” large clans are pitted against each other in a fight for dominance. These battles occur between neighboring large clans that meet certain conditions. The process begins with two opening assault siege battles, serving as a prelude to a large-scale battle. Before the opening assault, there is a six-month preparation period, allowing players to strategize and gain advantages based on the outcome of the opening assaults. Victory in the “Decisive Battle” results in the complete occupation of the opponent’s domain, making it a true showdown that could determine the fate to unify Japan.
The Complete Edition also introduces six new scenarios, including historical and hypothetical ones. For example, the scenario “The Birth of Nobunaga,” features key figures like Nobunaga’s father, Nobuhide Oda, and the cunning strategist Tsunehisa Amago. The “Fateful Clash” scenario begins immediately after the Honnō-ji Incident, when Mitsuhide Akechi betrayed and attacked Nobunaga. Additionally, the hypothetical scenario “Absence of Great Conflict,” starting from January 1547, explores a world where the Oda clan’s rise continued without the Ōnin War. These scenarios allow players to experience a wide variety of Sengoku period situations, blending historical and fictional narratives.

The expansion introduces Mercenaries of Trarthus, a bold new challenge league in which players encounter rogue veterans from a brutal land.
Each Mercenary features randomized skills, gear, and archetypes and can be hired, looted, or exiled after a traditional Trarthan duel:
Recruit and Customize Mercenaries – Mercenaries can be equipped, managed, and cycled as players progress. Trarthan noble houses yield rare rewards and new Infamous modifiers. Each Mercenary possesses different skills, sometimes using special Trarthan versions. If you’re lucky enough, they’ll offer up one of their Trarthan Skill Gems as the reward for a duel.
Party up with Mercenaries – Mercenaries can be brought into your areas to fight alongside you. Customize them to best synergise with your build. Mercenaries increase the rewards from slain monsters, similar to how party members do, but they also increase the difficulty in the same way, so make sure to keep them geared up!
League Rewards – Mercenaries of Trarthus comes with a fresh set of 40 optional challenges to complete. By doing so, you will earn the pieces of the exclusive Watcher’s Wrath Cosmetic Armour Set, which you’ll also be able to use in Path of Exile 2. This armour set is entirely cosmetic and doesn’t affect your character’s power in any way.
Revamped features and Settlers going core
Runegrafting and Kingsmarch Services – No town building will be required upon launch of Secrets of the Atlas. Upon reaching endgame, players can talk to Johan to travel to the Kalguuran settlement, where they can thoroughly enjoy and receive the benefits of Kingsmarch’s services to their full effect from the get-go. The new Runegrafting service offered in Kingsmarch allows you to imbue the power of a Rune into your Passive Skill Tree, replacing the effect of a Mastery node. New Scarabs and Atlas Passive Tree nodes have been added to support the Settlers mechanic.
Betrayal Rework – The Syndicate system receives a significant overhaul, with improved Mastermind accessibility where fragments can be acquired through Safehouse Leaders. The Immortal Syndicate will no longer be reset and will stay as its current state, along with streamlined progression and better rewards, such as the Allflame Embers. The new expansion will also see the return of Veiled Chaos Orbs to the Betrayal drop pool. The Safehouse rewards have also been rebalanced, along with enhanced Betrayal Atlas Tree nodes and Scarabs.

A new trailer revealed during the PlayStation® State of Play offered a first glimpse at the creatures and combat in SILENT HILL f. The game follows Shimizu Hinako, a teenage girl struggling under society’s pressure of expectations, as she navigates her hometown of Ebisugaoka now shrouded in fog and undergoing a disturbing transformation. Players will have to unravel mysteries, battle otherworldly threats, and come face-to-face with choices that will determine Hinako’s fate.

Joure Visser, a developer behind 2023’s viral success Don’t Scream, is excited to announce his latest project, DEADCAM. The 90s-inspired survival horror game invites players into a series of haunting encounters told through found footage recordings. The game is coming to Steam Early Access on June 23rd, and a demo will be available during Steam Next Fest this month.
Chilling J-Horror
DEADCAM applies the 90s analog aesthetic to a variety of gritty horror experiences. By navigating through various found footage recordings, players engage with a diverse collection of stories ranging from survival horror to psychological thrillers. Each self-contained encounter, or ‘file,’ boasts a unique setting and narrative. Uncover the mystery of these haunts by completing each file before proceeding to the next. DEADCAM’s Early Access introduces players to the first encounter, an atmospheric J-Horror challenge set in an abandoned school. Four additional encounters will be added throughout the Early Access period.
Explosive Encounters
DEADCAM’s found footage recordings see players through different stories; each file features its own setting, narrative, and gameplay mechanics tailored to the tone of the story. Across each file, retro UI elements monitor haunted activity in the area, including the size and speed of nearby enemy mobs. Idle opponents may walk or sprint to your location, forcing you to confront a handful–or a horde–of enemies. DEADCAM offers a variety of weapons, from firearms like pistols and shotguns to more brutal tools like flamethrowers and chainsaws. These handheld weapons, while powerful, require aiming before firing, which reduces movement speed. Melee weapons, such as the katana, also play a key role. Though quicker to use, melee weapons risk close-quarters vulnerability. As you battle through each encounter, monitor your vitality to make it out alive. A limited number of medkits are available, adding a layer of resource management to gameplay.
Early Access Coming Soon
The game’s Early Access arrives on Steam on June 23rd and will launch with the first of five files. Set in an abandoned Japanese high school, the file offers roughly an hour of gameplay. In this encounter, players can find and use three weapons: a katana, a pistol, and a shotgun. The file features three possible endings, but only one unlocks the full 100% playback percentage—the “good” ending. Details of the remaining four files will be announced soon.
During today’s PlayStation State of Play, Vertigo Games, in collaboration with Eidos-Montréal and Maze Theory, unveiled Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow, a fully immersive stealth experience set to launch later this year on PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2, 3, and 3S, and PC VR. Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow brings back the iconic Thief franchise and reintroduces players to The City, where danger lurks around every corner and secrets are hidden in plain sight.

UNLEASH THE THRILL OF STEALTH
Experience the world of Thief for the first time in VR, blending classic stealth gameplay with next-gen immersion. Use your body to sneak past guards and your hands to pickpocket, pry open hidden compartments, and bypass locks through tactile interactions. Wield an array of arrows and tools to distract, disable, or eliminate threats with an arrow shot from your bow as you climb rooftops, sneak through back alleys, and uncover secrets in a dark, steampunk-inspired world. Every heist offers multiple paths and playstyles, whether you sneak past guards unseen or take them down from the shadows.

The City is a place of shadows, ruled by the tyrant Baron Ulysses Northcrest. You are Magpie, a cunning thief orphaned by Northcrest’s brutality and shaped by the streets, who steals as the only means to survive. That is, until you uncover something greater: a legendary artifact holding a legacy from the past. Steal, evade, and outsmart the forces controlling The City to unravel its darkest secrets and expose a sinister conspiracy.

Developer NANAIRO ENTERPRISE CO., Ltd. and publisher DANGEN Entertainment have announced TurretGirls, an over-the-top, on-rails turret defense shooter launching this summer on Steam. Alien freaks are pouring in from beyond the stars, and the only thing between them and total annihilation is a civil servant from the Planetary Alien Neutralization & Tactical Strike Unit (P.A.N.T.S.U.) and her trusty turret. Humanity’s fate, and her next meal, are on the line.
In TurretGirls, players take on the role of “Girl,” a turret-wielding defender stationed on the frontlines of Earth’s last hope: the SUPERWEAPON.
