Paradox Interactive has released a second developer diary for their upcoming wargame, Sengoku. This time, the dev team goes into the game’s various factions and how they inter-relate with one another. Sengoku is due out on Windows PCs come September 12th, 2011.

In this new video developer diary from Funcom, the team behind the upcoming MMO The Secret World shows us some of the various story and mission types to be found in the game. The Secret World is due out later 2011/early 2012 and puts players in a struggle between three waring secret organizations.

In addition to the Player Impact Engine trailer for FIFA 12, EA Sports has also released a large batch of screenshots for the title. The game currently has no announced release date but we will be previewing it at this year’s E3 expo in just a week’s time!
In an interview with Swedish tabloid website, Aftonblade, GRIN founders Ulf and Bo Andersson have spilled the beans on exactly how the studio’s downfall came about – blaming a majority of what transpired on bumbling, idiotic moves by publisher Square Enix during the development of Final Fantasy XII, also accusing them of not paying them what they were promised as development continued. Additionally, the Brothers Andersson claim that Square requested that the developer FAX the game’s code and music files to them… Unless Square has some sort of new FAX technology, last time we checked that is just not possible!
“It is as silly as it sounds,” said Bo Andersson. “It is an impossible requirement, you can not send ASCII or binary codes on the fax. It is backward. Really retarded. It was almost a criminal activity.”
GRIN was founded in 1997 and had worked on a multitude of titles, including the PC version of Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2, Bionic Commando, and Wanted: Weapons of Fate.

EPIC Games and Microsoft Game Studios have released the world premier trailer for their upcoming Gears of War 3 as well as announced its official release date of September 20th, 2011.

Majesco and Panic Button have announced that they are teaming up with wrestling icon Hulk Hogan to develop Hulk Hogan’s Main Event for KINECT on the Xbox 360 platform. Hulk Hogan’s Main Event allows players to be trained by Hogan himself on all of wrestling’s signature styles and moves, which players will have to pull off in front of the KINECT’s sensors in addition to the wrestling match itself.
“Hulk Hogan is much more than a wrestling star; he’s a sports entertainment icon with a huge personality, a massive following on Spike’s IMPACT WRESTLING, and immediate recognition across generations of fans,” said Jesse Sutton, CEO Majesco Entertainment. “Partnering with the Hulkster for Hulk Hogan’s Main Event is a dream come true and we’re looking forward to releasing a no holds barred motion-based experience that offers a full suite of over-the-top moves.”

Kalypso Media has released the first artwork from their upcoming, dark fantasy-RPG, The Dark Eye – Demonicon. Due out next year, this first piece of artwork gives readers a look at the character “Heshthot” – also known as the grim reaper. The game is being produced for the Windows PC and Xbox 360 platforms.
