Maximum Entertainment today unveiled it will bring three games in its lineup to Gamescom next month: Overthrown, Bye Sweet Carole, and Until Then. Visitors can demo all three games at the Indie Arena Booth from August 20-24. In addition to the demos, players can look forward to some exciting updates from Maximum Entertainment throughout Gamescom week.
Overthrown is a chaotic city builder where you play a monarch in possession of an ancient soul-stealing crown with magical abilities. With its power, establish a kingdom in a perilous wilderness and defend it from mutants and bandits roaming the land. The best part: lift and thrown anything to build and manage your land alone or with friends in up to six-player co-op! Overthrown is available on Steam Early Access and scheduled to launch later this year.
Bye Sweet Carole is a chilling narrative-horror game inspired by classic animation movies where players follow the last known whereabouts of Carole Simmons to uncover the dark truth behind the Bunny Hall orphanage. The game will take players on a horrific journey through a dark tale set in two diametrically opposed genres: a traditional animated fairy tale, and a survival horror environment with old-school platform elements. Bye Sweet Carole is set to release this year.
Set in a beautifully stylized pixel-art world, Until Then follows Mark Borja, a high school student trying to make sense of daily life—school, friendships, piano lessons, and social media—while confronting a creeping sense that something isn’t quite right. As strange events begin to ripple through his reality, Mark finds himself on the edge of a life-changing mystery. Until Then is currently available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
As we eagerly await the Early Access launch of Titan Quest II, the developers are offering a deeper look into the game’s unique dual-mastery system through a series of build showcases. First up: the “Crit Trick Shot Ashstalker,” a devastating combination of the Rogue and Earth masteries, tailored for players who crave critical hits, precise disruption, and explosive crowd control.
In this build, players lean heavily into the Trick Shot skill from the Rogue tree — a piercing, fast projectile designed to snipe channeling enemies and deliver devastating critical damage. By customizing Trick Shot with Modifiers like Interrupt, Counter, and Enhanced Critical Hit, Ashstalkers can cancel enemy abilities, apply punishing debuffs, and trigger supercharged critical strikes.
Complementing this setup is the Earth mastery, offering powerful AOE support through Roiling Magma, a fireball attack enhanced with Overwhelm and Enhanced Ailment to burn down mobs. Players also benefit from two powerful auras — Preparation and Earth Enchantment — which synergize to boost both physical and fire damage.
To round out the build, passive skills such as Accuracy and Deft Hands sharpen the Rogue’s lethality, while dual-wielded daggers maximize attack speed and stack Overwhelm quickly. Players are encouraged to experiment with attributes like Agility and Might to fine-tune their damage profile depending on their playstyle.
The Ashstalker’s strategic edge lies in its versatility: control the battlefield with interrupts, single out high-value targets with Mark for Death, and sweep away weaker foes with charged fireballs — all while maintaining a deadly crit-based playstyle.
Forged in the creative crucible of Grimlore Games in Germany, Titan Quest II is currently under development. This epic odyssey is destined for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X.
Comedy Central today announced that South Park’s 27th season premiere has moved to Wednesday, July 23rd at 10:00pm ET/PT.
The hit animated franchise, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2022, debuted on Comedy Central on August 13, 1997. Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny were first seen in the animated short “The Spirit of Christmas,” and from there were launched into television history. Co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are executive producers, along with Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II. Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell and Vernon Chatman are producers. World of Warships: Legends celebrates Independence Day with U.S. Ships and Skins
With American Independence Day approaching, plenty of patriotic additions are arriving to World of Warships: Legends. Kicking off the festivities is a brand-new campaign “Forward for Freedom” starting on June 30. Spanning five weeks and 120 milestones, this campaign offers U.S. Tier VIII Premium battleship Wisconsin as the grand prize for those with Admiralty backing. Throughout the campaign players can also collect a special currency, Independium, which can be used to unlock Legendary Tier cruiser Puerto Rico, themed skins and other in-game items.
Tier VI Premium battleship West Virginia ’44 also sails into Legendary waters, and can be found in the Steel and Stars random bundle. Rounding out these all-American additions to the game, U.S. Legendary Tier battleship Louisiana makes waves in the Bureau, bringing impressive firepower and devastating airstrikes to those who complete this research project.

Star Trek beams back into World of Warships: Legends
Star Trek returns to World of Warships: Legends, bringing the Tier VIII cruiser U.S.S Voyager to the game and a new Borg Queen’s Diamond skin for Yamato. Joining World of Warships: Legends’ lineup of out-of-this-world Commanders are four more iconic Star Trek characters – Riker, Janeway, Worf, and the Borg Queen. The new content can be found in the Store and in the new Replicator Crate II, alongside returning content from the previous collaboration wave. Players can access these Crates for free through the “Forward for Freedom”, and through the “To the Delta Quadrant and Back” mission, and Commander Riker will be available through the new Number One Calendar and in the Store.

Temporary game mode and French destroyers brings high-octane action to World of Warships: Blitz
A new line of French Destroyers has dropped anchor in Early Access. Ready for fast-paced combat, players on mobile can take three new ships built for stealth and speed into combat: Tier V L’Adroit, Tier VII Hardi and Tier IX Orage. Equipped with brand new variable torpedoes, players can reap the rewards of close-quarters combat, dealing maximum damage at up to 6km distance, and up to 60% damage from 12km distance.
Players can further prepare for dashing speedin “Turbo Strike”, a new fast-paced game mode that puts a spin on the classic domination gameplay. With unique ship enhancements, powerups, and unlimited respawns, the action doesn’t stop until one team reigns supreme.
