Tyranny Gameplay and Mechanics Dev Diary Video

November 4, 2016 – Any lingering questions about Tyranny can be asked directly of the development team on Wednesday, November 9, when the designers at Obsidian Entertainment join the community for an Ask Me Anything (AMA) on Reddit. The event will start at 11:00 a.m.Pacific Time, and will be found at https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/.

Next week, Tyranny will be available worldwide from digital retailers everywhere. Players who pre-order the game now will receive a set of unique in-game items, and will also be able to pre-load the game to their PC and have it ready to play when Tyranny is launched. Tyranny is available for pre-order now on Steam, as well as on other digital retailers such as GOG.com and the Paradox Store.

In Tyranny, the grand war between good and evil is over – and the forces of evil, led by Kyros the Overlord, have won. The Overlord’s merciless armies dominate the face of the world, and its denizens must find new roles within the war-torn realm. Players’ decisions will have far-reaching consequences and change both the land and its people, providing a non-linear, highly replayable experience.

Space Hulk: Deathwing Gets New Trailer and a Release Date

November 4, 2016 – Space Hulk: Deathwing, the upcoming first-person shooter set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, will be available for download on PC, December 9. With only one month left until release, the whole team at Streum On is working non-stop to add the final layer of polish to the game and deliver the best possible experience to players. Streum On now needs player support, Steam pre-order players are invited to join the upcoming Betas.

Starting next week, we will invite a limited number of pre-order players to join a closed-beta to help the developers gather the latest technical and gameplay feedback for the game. Then, starting around November 20, ALL players who have pre-ordered the game on Steam will be able to get their first taste through a new beta. Players will be able to experience the game’s tutorial to learn the basics before teaming up to complete a mission from the game’s campaign with up to 3 other players in co-op! In the meantime, discover today a new trailer for the game, Enter the Space Hulk, introducing the developers’ meticulous attention to detail and introduces the plot of its campaign, playable in both solo and coop.

Each Space Hulk is an amalgamation of ancient ships and space debris, and Olethros is filled with lore from the 10,000 years since the dawn of the Imperium to the 41st Millennium. You will be exploring Black Templar ships, troop transports, and even pirate vessels that were lost in the Warp and became part of the Space Hulk OIethros’ bowels. Streum On Studios made sure that every inch of the colossal ships, each corridor and each room, contains highly detailed designs, unique architectural styles, and references to Warhammer 40,000 history.

An incredible amount of care was also given to the enemies and their AI. The Genestealers have many variants with unique abilities and skills, combined with their AI utilizing pack tactics and ambushes that are faithful to the lore.

Knott’s Unveils 2017 Plans

Buena Park, Calif. (November 2016) – There’s farm fresh fun for everyone coming to Knott’s Berry Farm in 2017 with a brand new thrill ride, an extended Knott’s Boysenberry Festival, the exciting return of Ghost Town Alive! next summer, and the expansion of Knott’s Soak City Waterpark.

Sol Spin will bring brand new hair-raising thrills to the Fiesta Village area of the park next season. The new ride will send brave guests on a thrilling topsy-turvy adventure over 6 stories high as they rotate in all directions on one of six spinning arms. Sol Spin will be the newest addition to the theme park’s world-class line up of more than 40 rides and attractions when it opens in spring 2017.

But that’s not all! Knott’s Berry Farm is also expanding the park’s Seasons of Fun. For the first time ever, the mouthwatering Knott’s Boysenberry Festival, exclusively dedicated to celebrating Knott’s delicious roots, will be expanded to 23 days. Celebrate the historic berry with countless one-of-a-kind boysenberry inspired dishes, drinks and more, plus limited-time live entertainment the whole family will love!

This past summer to celebrate Ghost Town’s 75^th anniversary, Knott’s debuted the one-of-a-kind interactive experience Ghost Town Alive! The extremely popular interactive experience returns for a second year packed with new characters and even more interactive old west fun. The citizens of Calico return to take guests on an immersive journey back in time to the old west of the late 1800s when bandits and cowboys battle for control of the west. This summer the wild- west gets a little wilder, as new story lines and plot twists will be revealed throughout the season insuring guests will never experience the same adventure twice. Ghost Town Alive! offers something for everyone in your posse.

Also, coming to the park next summer, is the all new Boardwalk Barbecue restaurant located in the Boardwalk area of the park near Xcelerator. This new fast-casual dining location will offer various BBQ favorites including smoked pork ribs, tri-tip and rotisserie chicken along with a selection of sandwiches and side dishes. Boardwalk Barbecue will also be featuring a selection of local and well known craft beers. The restaurant will include a new covered seating area with a stage for live entertainment. The location will replace the existing Boardwalk Barbecue restaurant. Construction is set to begin this year.

Next year’s new enhancements also include an extensive expansion, renovations and new additions in store for Knott’s Soak City Waterpark, which were announced earlier this summer. Orange County’s largest water park will debut two water slide towers offering exhilarating attractions geared for families and thrill seekers. Shore Break will tower over seven stories and offer six different thrilling water slide experiences. Four of the slides on the tower will feature an Aqua-Launch chamber which will innovatively launch guests as the floor under their feet drops them into an almost vertical free fall through a series of flat loops and S-curves in a translucent flume. Shore Break will also feature dueling tube slides that will zip riders through an enchanting series of drops and turns. The height requirements for Shore Break slides are 48 inches. The Wedge slide tower will take the location of the current Pacific Spin and will be an open air family raft ride. Up to six guests at a time will descend down navigating twists and turns and unexpected drops. The minimum height requirement is 40 inches and 40 – 48 inches must be accompanied by a responsible person. The expansion project will also include updated shaded seating areas, cabanas and a remodeled Longboards’ Grill. Guests will be able to experience both water slide towers when Knott’s Soak City Waterpark opens for the summer season in May 2017.

THQ Nordic Acquires All NovaLogic IPs

October 24, 2016: Today, THQ Nordic announced that an asset purchase agreement with NovaLogic Inc. containing all games and/or projects owned by NovaLogic Inc has been closed. In essence, that means that they’re back at it again with the acquisition of partly forgotten, but classic game IPs and this time is all about first-person military themed game franchises like groundbreaking and genre-defining Delta Force, Comanche or Joint Ops.

Novalogic’s games struck a strong chord with the market from the late 80s throughout the 00s, with its strong focus on military simulations like for example with the F-22 series, the Comanche series, and, last but not least, the Delta Force series.

“After 30 years of creating ground breaking Computer and Video Games we are proud to pass the baton to THQ Nordic. As individuals, they are enthusiastic gamers and as a company have shown the agility and acumen needed to propel our industry towards a much-needed reset”, comments John Garcia, owner, founder and CEO of NovaLogic Inc. “We are happy to see the franchises we created in such capable hands.”

Screamfest Horror Film Festival Award Winners Announcement

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – Oct. 28, 2016 – America’s largest and longest running horror movie festival, Screamfest, awarded the top movies, filmmakers and actors of the festival. The festival, which ran from Oct. 18 – 27, 2016 at the TLC Chinese in Hollywood, has launched careers – providing a platform for filmmakers and actors to showcase their latest work to enthusiasts and general audiences.

MY FATHER DIE and THE MASTER CLEANSE tied with the most awards, each with four. MY FATHER DIE won Best Picture, Best Director with Sean Brosnan, Best Editing by Jason Eric Perlman and Sean Brosnan, as well as Best Musical Score by Justin Small and Ohad Benchetrit. A Look at Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III’s Wraithblade

When an Eldar falls in battle, their soul must be entombed in a soul stone lest they be lost forever to the Warp. Sometimes, the spirits are joined to a Wraithguard construct during times of war. Bordering on necromantic, the practice is considered immoral – but desperate times call for desperate measures.

The most feared of these resurrected Eldar warriors are the Wraithblades. Distinguished from the rest by their unmatched fury, Wraithblades must be segregated from other ghost warriors for fear that their infectious wrath will consume their kin.

Wraithblades aren’t as quick as their allies, but can initiate combat with a long charge that gets faster over time. Skirting along the edge of a Webway Gate’s influence can be an effective way to control when your Fleet of Foot passive kicks in – surprising your enemy with a quick burst of speed. Once within close combat range, their two deadly Ghostswords and ferocity will quickly tear through enemy infantry.

Abilities:

Vengeance (Passive)

Wraithblades charge from long range and upon impact taunt the target into attacking them for a short duration. While in combat, Wraithblades gain Fury. For every 10 Fury their damage increases by 25%.

Soul Recall (requires Infinity Portal and charges)

The Wraithblade abandons its current body, sending its soul stone back to the target Infinity Portal. Double clicking this ability automatically sends them to the nearest Infinity Portal.

Armored Warfare Global Operations Release Trailer

Amsterdam, The Netherlands – October 27, 2016 – Today, Obsidian Entertainment and global publisher My.com, released the new Global Operations mode for Armored Warfare. Global Operations is an exciting new approach to the tank genre, fusing PvE and PvP game modes together in a unique and explosive mix. Teams of tank commanders will not only compete against each other, but can now capture tactical bonuses that give their team a strategic edge over their adversaries. These tactical Wildcards modernize the theatre of war by adding surveillance drones, stealth bombers, and deployable anti-tank turrets functioning as support for either team. Global Operations is played on Desert Crossing, the largest map the game has ever introduced, which features game changing weather effects like a sandstorm that limits the player’s view range.

Wildcards:

One important new feature in the Global Operations mode released with the update 0.18 is the option to deploy Wildcards. These are special abilities that, based on their use, can have a major effect on the course of battle.

Recon UAV: The Recon UAV represents a Predator drone that circles over a certain area, spotting all enemy units within its view range.
Airstrike: The Airstrike Wildcard consists of a B2 Spirit bomber that rains hell in a limited area on the map, selected by the player who managed to capture it.
Pillbox Deployment: This Wildcard allows the players to deploy a series of 3 pillboxes, which fire anti-tank missiles into eight pre-determined positions on the map.
