QuakeCon 2020 Schedule Revealed

We’re just over a week away from the kickoff of QuakeCon at Home, the global online event that will bring the fun and comradery of QuakeCon to the safety of home. We’re excited to celebrate the 25th annual QuakeCon with a global Super Stream, featuring a full weekend of nonstop live content from around the world. The schedule is packed with three days of celebrity influencer streams, live concerts, charity fundraising, developer panels and much more. The weekend kicks off with the traditional QuakeCon Welcome at 12 p.m. ET on August 7 and wraps up at 11 p.m. ET on August 9.

Charity Initiatives
We are excited to continue QuakeCon’s charitable legacy in both a global and local way. Developer 704Games and publisher Motorsport Games have announced that the first major DLC update for NASCAR Heat 5, officially licensed by NASCAR, will be available to purchase on July 30. Black Beauty Coming to Disney+

Disney+ announced today that a contemporary adaptation of Anna Sewell’s classic 19th century novel, “Black Beauty” will premiere on the streaming service later this year. Black Beauty is a wild mustang born free in the American west. When she is captured and taken away from family, her story intertwines with that of 17-year old Jo Green, similarly grieving over the loss of her parents. The two slowly develop a bond that is built on love, respect and mutual healing.

“Black Beauty” features Oscar® winner Kate Winslet (“The Reader”) as the voice of “Black Beauty” and stars Mackenzie Foy (“Interstellar”) as Jo Green; Iain Glen (“Game of Thrones”) as John Manly; and Claire Forlani (“Meet Joe Black”) as Mrs. Winthorp.

“Black Beauty” is directed by Ashley Avis (“Adolescence”) who also wrote the screenplay. JB Pictures’ Jeremy Bolt (“Polar,” “Monster Hunter”) and Robert Kulzer (“Polar”) from Constantin Film are producers and Martin Moszkowicz, Edward Winters and Jon Brown are executive producers. Dylan Tarason is a co-producer, and Moonlighting Films president Genevieve Hofmeyr (“Mad Max: Fury Road”) is the South African producer.

“Black Beauty” is produced by Constantin Film and JB Pictures.

We survived the Great Storm, but the path ahead is still marked with toil. A finding outside New London seems to be a blessing, but doesn’t every miracle come with a price? Lead the expedition to explore the uncharted parts of Frostland in Frostpunk: On The Edge. 11 bit studios is thrilled to present a new cinematic trailer, the first screenshots, and announce that the third and final expansion for its bestselling survival city-builder is coming to PC this August 20th.

While Frostpunk’s previous expansion, The Last Autumn, served as a prequel, On The Edge picks up when the base game has ended. The storm has exposed an army warehouse from times before the evacuation. A scouting party is sent from New London to set up an outpost and a steady chain of supplies. It’s time to take another step on the laborious path of rebuilding hope and leading humankind to survival. In honor of National Tattoo Day, fans of World of Warships and World of Warships: Legends submitted their naval-inspired tattoos for a chance to win prizes and possibly see their tattoo inspire an upcoming in-game ship camouflage.

With 186 entries, the photo contest far exceeded expectations, providing quite a challenge for the World of Warships team to choose the top 10 for public voting. Viewers can visit the photo gallery linked here to vote for their favorite tattoo among the top 10. Voting will close on July 31.

The tattoo with the most likes will receive a $1,000 (USD) gift certificate to be used for a new tattoo. In addition, 100 valid submissions will be randomly selected to receive in-game camouflage bundles which include the following:

Travel Channel journeys back to the most infamous horror cases our country has ever known, taking a fresh look at true and terrifying tales of paranormal encounters with a new umbrella series titled “Shock Docs,” scheduled to air throughout the fall. The announcement was made today at Travel Channel’s “Wonder Women: Superstars of Paranormal” panel during San Diego Comic-Con’s virtual Comic-Con@Home.Kicking off the spooky season on Labor Day, Monday, September 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT is the history of the nation’s first modern-day paranormal investigators,“Devil’s Road: The True Story of Ed and Lorraine Warren.” Over the course of their 50-year career, Ed and Lorraine Warren investigated thousands of hauntings. They documented some of the most famous cases ever recorded, including the Amityville Horror house, the real-life Rhode Island home behindThe Conjuring films and the Bridgeport Poltergeist. Ed, a demonologist, and Lorraine, a clairvoyant, were an unassuming couple who devoted their lives to battling demonic forces inhabiting families or homes.

During the 1970s and 1980s, the Warrens made numerous appearances on television talking about their cases and spreading the word about the paranormal and preternatural worlds that exist all around us. Their life’s mission: to prove the existence of good and evil; God and the devil. Along the way, they pioneered many techniques still used in the field today, including audio and visual recording devices, advanced electromagnetic devices and even produced their own television show. This two-hour special features interviews with their daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Tony Spera, who share never-before-broadcast audio of Ed conducting interviews for the Bridgeport, Connecticut, poltergeist case, and rare video of the Warrens helping a young woman coming under demonic possession. Tony also has granted the production access to his catalog of footage from his television series, “Seekers of the Supernatural.” It includes many hours of Ed and Lorraine discussing their work with Tony.
