OSLO, Norway – December 10th, 2018 – The mighty barbarian returns, this time in the first-ever strategy game set in the brutal and savage world of Conan! Obsidian Unveils The Outer Worlds Single Player RPG

New York, NY – December 7, 2018 – Private Division and Obsidian Entertainment today announced The Outer Worlds. Co-game directors Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, original creators of Fallout, have reunited for this new single-player RPG from the renowned team at Obsidian, developers of Fallout: New Vegas, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, South Park: The Stick of Truth, and the Pillars of Eternity franchise. The Outer Worlds will be available in calendar 2019, during Take-Two’s fiscal year 2020 (ending March 31, 2020) on PC, PlayStation®4 system, and across the Xbox One family of devices, including Xbox One X.

In The Outer Worlds, you awake from hibernation on a colonist ship lost in transit to its destination on the edge of the galaxy, only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the colony. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.

It’s rare to find a co-creator who compliments your skill set so well – Tim’s great at the things I’m not and vice versa,” said Leonard Boyarsky, co-game director at Obsidian. “But what we both seem to have a knack for is making in-depth single-player RPGs where the player can define their character and play the game any way they choose.”

Burbank, Calif. – Dec. 6, 2018 – Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced Mortal Kombat 11, the newest game in the award-winning franchise. The official Mortal Kombat 11 Announce Trailer sets the stage for an epic, time bending story and features an original music track created in collaboration with multi-platinum selling rapper 21 Savage. Mortal Kombat 11 is developed by award-winning NetherRealm Studios and is scheduled for release beginning April 23, 2019 for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, PlayStation®4 Pro computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X, Nintendo Switch™ system and PC.

The song by 21 Savage featured in the trailer is titled “Immortal” and overlays scenes of an epic battle between two iconic characters, Dark Raiden and Scorpion, with a tease of a new character who is at the center of Mortal Kombat 11’s story.

Mortal Kombat 11 will make its first gameplay debut at Mortal Kombat 11: The Reveal, a highly experiential, community celebration of Mortal Kombat, taking place at 11 a.m. PST on Jan. 17, 2019 in Los Angeles and 7 p.m. UTC in London. CALABASAS, Calif. – Dec. 6, 2018 – The debut title from industry veterans Alex Hutchinson, Yassine Riahi and Reid Schneider’s new Montreal-based development studio, Typhoon Studios – in partnership with leading indie publisher 505 Games – was unveiled tonight at The Game Awards, with an exciting new trailer here.

Launching in 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Journey to the Savage Planet is an upbeat first-person adventure game set in a bright and colorful alien world filled with weird and wonderful creatures. As an employee of Kindred Aerospace, which proudly touts its rating as the “4th Best Interstellar Exploration Company”, players will be dropped onto an uncharted planet deep in a fictitious, far-away corner of the universe. Launched with high hopes but little equipment and no real plan, players are tasked with exploring, cataloguing alien flora and fauna and determining if the planet is fit for human habitation.

“The core tenets of Typhoon are strong flavors, lots of intertwined systems, a penchant for bad jokes and a deep and abiding love of collaborative play,” said Alex Hutchinson, creative director and co-founder, Typhoon Studios. “Journey to the Savage Planet will encompass all of those things and more.”

Wizards of the Coast Announces Magic: The Gathering eSports League

The Magic Pro League (MPL) establishes a new level of professional play and features 32 of the top ranked Magic players from around the world. Players in the MPL are offered play and streaming contracts worth $75,000. Members of the MPL will play in weekly match-ups on Magic: The Gathering Arena® that will lead to newly introduced Mythic Championship events.

Mythic Championships are the new flagship competitions for Magic: The Gathering Arena esports and tabletop Magic competitive play. Mythic Championships will feature MPL players battling against challengers from the Magic community.
