LINE Games announced that Ember and Blade, its upcoming dark fantasy roguelite action RPG, will launch in Early Access on January 8, 2027. The release date was unveiled in a new trailer during the Galaxies Showcase, offering another look at Fenrix’s relentless battle against the demon hordes standing between him and the archdemon Asmodeus.
In Ember and Blade, death is only the beginning. Players take control of Fenrix, a cursed immortal trapped in an endless cycle of death and rebirth, and descend into the depths of oblivion to prevent the rise of Asmodeus. Each run offers new opportunities to transform Fenrix’s curse into overwhelming power, wielding an overhauled arsenal of weapons, linking angelic Blessings to attacks, and utilizing Runes and Arcana to create increasingly devastating builds.
This Early Access release date announcement follows the major updates introduced in Demo 2.0, which overhauled Ember and Blade’s combat and gave players even more ways to wreak havoc. Chain light and heavy attacks into powerful combos, link Blessings directly to attacks and dashes, experiment with weapons ranging from the Sword and Hammer to the recently introduced Shotgun, and stack abilities to transform Fenrix into an increasingly unstoppable demon-slaying force.
