Reign of Terror Haunted House – The Ultimate Haunted Experience for All of Southern California – Unleashes New ‘Bayou’ Maze, Photo Op Zone, and Sinister Treasures Shop This Haunt Season

Southern California’s most terrifying Halloween tradition is back. Reign of Terror Haunted House, located in the Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks, will officially open for the 2025 season on September 26th (running through November 2nd), inviting brave souls to step into more than 142+ rooms of spine-chilling scares.

This year, Reign of Terror introduces an all-new maze section: “The Bayou.” Guests will creep through eerie swamplands and shadowy marshes, complete with fog, creatures lurking in the dark, and unsettling sounds of the deep South. Designed to immerse visitors in a nightmarish swamp setting, The Bayou promises to be one of the scariest new features yet.

Also new for 2025, Reign of Terror is debuting a Photo Op Zone, giving guests the chance to capture gruesome selfies and unforgettable group shots before or after braving the haunt. And for those who want to take the fear home, the brand-new Sinister Treasures shop will offer exclusive ROT merchandise and hauntingly themed and unique souvenirs.

Now in its 26th year, Reign of Terror Haunted House is recognized as one of California’s longest-running and most elaborate haunted attractions. Known for its Hollywood-quality sets, professional actors, seemingly never-ending length, and jaw-dropping effects, it continues to draw tens of thousands of thrill-seekers each season.

“This was the BEST haunted house/maze I’ve ever been to! 10x better than horror nights at less than one third the price. The production value is like ‘muah’ chef’s kiss. Horror/Halloween fanatic approved,” – said one Yelp reviewer from the San Fernando Valley.
