When the Boss invites you to his birthday party, you’d better be there! Today, Global Publisher 505 Games and developer INGAME Studios are thrilled to share that Update 21, a massive free update for their bombastic co-op FPS heist game Crime Boss: Rockay City is now available for all platforms.
The game’s evolution into this new Version 2.0 marks not only the 2nd anniversary of the game’s Steam launch, but a major milestone of over 1 million units sold to date. This new update, representing INGAME Studio’s long-term commitment to improving the game, thanks to player feedback, is more than just a content release – it represents the next chapter in Crime Boss: Rockay City’s evolution introducing a brand-new story mode, new missions, full modding support, and a wealth of gameplay improvements built on more than three years of post launch development.

It’s our biggest step yet toward making the game more accessible, more creative, and more enjoyable for every type of player.”

- New Story Mode: A fully structured single-player campaign, players can now experience the rise of criminal mastermind Travis Baker and his empire, without the roguelite systems of the original campaign. In this mode, say good-bye to randomization, permadeath, and experience the iconic criminal’s rise to power in an accessible format. Relive fan-favorite cinematic cutscenes from the original, and experience brand-new cutscenes and narrative content. Story mode incorporates storylines featured in the Gold Cup and Cagnali’s Order DLCs, bringing key events together into a cohesive narrative experience.
- New Missions to expand the City’s Criminal Underworld: Two new additional missions – “Hell’s Kitchen”, a new high-stakes heist mission, and “Close Encounter”, an otherworldly extraterrestrial Rockay Rumble Mission – provide fresh challenges for new and veteran players.
As part of the update alongside the 2.0 contents, INGAME STUDIOS is releasing the full version of the game’s modding tools for PC players, which will now allow the creation and development of custom characters, new weapons, original missions, and entirely new game modes.
As a studio that embraces their modding community, INGAME Studios will continue to showcase their talents through regular showcases on their YouTube channel, and are also exploring new opportunities to bring the best community-created content to console players through curated DLC releases.
