Netflix has officially begun production in Atlanta, Georgia, on SCOOBY-DOO: ORIGINS, a modern live-action reimagining of the iconic mystery-solving teens and their beloved Great Dane. Produced by Warner Bros. Television, the series follows old friends Shaggy (Tanner Hagen) and Daphne (Mckenna Grace) during their final summer at camp as they become entangled in a haunting mystery involving a lonely, lost puppy who may have witnessed a supernatural murder. Joined by the pragmatic, scientific townie Velma (Abby Ryder Fortson), the strange but handsome new kid Fred (Maxwell Jenkins), and castmate Paul Walter Hauser, the newly formed crew must solve a case that is pulling them into a creepy nightmare and threatening to expose all of their secrets.

The highly anticipated series is helmed by showrunners and writers Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg of Midnight Radio, with Toby Haynes directing the first episode and serving as an executive producer alongside a powerhouse team that includes Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and André Nemec. Building on a 50-year pop culture legacy that spans three theatrical films, over a dozen animated series, and nearly 40 animated home entertainment movies, Mystery Inc. is gearing up to thrill a whole new generation of fans. The production is right at home in Atlanta, joining a robust slate of other high-profile Netflix projects filmed in the area, including *Stranger Things*, *His & Hers*, *A Different World*, and the upcoming fifth season of *Sweet Magnolias*.
