Microids and Microids Studio Lyon are thrilled to unveil the first official trailer for the video game Agatha Christie – Death on the Nile, slated for release in September 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC. This adaptation of the Queen of Crime’s masterpiece has with two playable protagonists: the legendary Hercule Poirot and Jane Royce, a brand-new character created for the Agatha Christie universe.

For Steam Next Fest, running from June 9-16, a playable demo is already available on Steam. This is a unique opportunity for players to discover the beginning of the game and immerse themselves in its unique atmosphere.

Players will switch between the two characters, each offering a complementary perspective on the scenario. Poirot’s sharp eye and Royce’s instinct allow players to discover the investigation from different angles, cross-referencing testimonies, questioning all of the suspects and putting together the pieces of the puzzle. Every detail counts to uncover the truth.

While remaining faithful to the spirit of the original novel, Agatha Christie – Death on the Nile offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the plot. Following in the spirit of their work on Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express, Microids Studio Lyon team have crafted a unique adventure packed with never-before-seen surprises that will astonish even the most passionate fans of Agatha Christie’s novels.

In Death on the Nile, a peaceful cruise on the Nile is disrupted by a terrible crime. Thankfully, Hercule Poirot is onboard. Meanwhile, another private detective Jane Royce is tracking a murderer, leading her from London to Majorca, New York, and finally to Egypt. The two investigations collide at Abu Simbel. The dynamic duo will solve a complex case full of twists and turns. But the story doesn’t end with the book and still holds many mysteries and twists.
