Today Darrington Press, the publishing arm of Critical Role, officially revealed the cover art for Daggerheart, their forthcoming narrative-driven tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) set to release in Spring 2025. Daggerheart empowers stories of brave heroics and vibrant worlds built together with your gaming group. Hope and Fear dice (2 d12s), player-facing cards, and expanded levels of collaboration make Daggerheart unique and easy to learn.
Unveiling at PAX Unplugged, the artwork embodies the game’s sense of wonder and adventure, rich storytelling, and captivating world and characters awaiting players. The standard Daggerheart Core Set comes as both a core rulebook and a box to hold cards, and their artwork connects together to form a dramatic diptych illustrated by Mat Wilma. The limited edition box set artwork by Dominik Mayer graces the full wrap-around box as well as the core rulebook, the box of cards, AND a stunning exclusive GM screen. Fans attending PAX Unplugged can view both the standard edition of the Daggerheart Core Set as well as the extras-packed limited edition at the Darrington Press booth (#3535).

- “Daggerheart First Look: Worldbuilding With Critical Role” Panel: Join Critical Role founders Matthew Mercer and Ashley Johnson, along with Darrington Press developers Spenser Starke and Rowan Hall, for a live worldbuilding session. This event includes live drawing by concept artist Shaun Ellis and a gameplay demo with contributors Masood Haque, Dani Gage, and moderator Elise Rezendes.
