Developer and publisher False Prophet has released the second major content update for its dark turn-based tactical RPG BEAST, now called BEAST: False Prophet to better reflect the game’s true vision and deeply rooted narrative. “This update will allow players to complete our game from start to finish with up to 40 hours of varied missions. We’re hoping this will generate enough sales for us to continue fixing bugs and polish the game to its final release in 2024.” says Piotr Pacynko, Founder of False Prophet studio. To celebrate the new name and content, the studio will be giving the game its biggest discount yet of 40% during the Steam Winter Sale.

Aside from being the studio’s name, False Prophet now serves as the game’s subtitle due to its deep connection to the story. Throughout protagonist Anton’s personal journey during the story, he must uncover the truth amongst a myriad of lies – hence the name False Prophet. The game takes place during a tumultuous time, set in the Dark Ages, and inspired by Carpathian legends. In BEAST: False Prophet, there is only lesser or greater evil.

BEAST: False Prophet offers two main ways to play: either play it safe and focus on team oriented tactics, or unleash the Beast and rush in for an all-out brutal assault. Each have pros and cons, so you will need to choose wisely depending on how things unfold on the battlefield. Playing it safe allows your allies to gain various buffs. Once your insanity meter reaches its threshold, you have the opportunity to turn into the Beast allowing your inner demon to come forth, giving you access to devastating attacks to shred through your foes. While becoming the Beast does grant you more power, enemies become less predictable and gain additional abilities of their own.

With 26 Beast abilities, 60 weapon types, 16 companions, 45 playable missions, and there’s plenty of content to enjoy during a 40-hour playthrough of BEAST: False Prophet. The game is also available in a variety of languages including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Polish.

The second major update for BEAST: False Prophet is live now for free and contains a plethora of new features. For a full list of patch notes, please visit the official BEAST: False Prophet Steam page.
