My husband and I visited Six Flags Great Adventure to celebrate the Holiday in the Park, and we had a fantastic time! The moment you walk into the park, the holiday decorations and festivities immediately draw you in, with holiday music playing everywhere you go. Many took advantage of the bonfires throughout the park to warm up by or roast a marshmallow for their s’more, while others walked with hot cocoa in mittened hands.

Six Flags does an excellent job of making you feel like the holidays are all around you instead of keeping its decorations solely around its entrance area. The musicians were also decked out in holiday attire as they played holiday music, and their reindeer dancers kept the fun going later in the evening with festive performances of classic and unexpected songs reworked with holiday themes.

We spent time in the arcade playing old games we loved, and we rode the Buccaneer ride, laughing and screaming with the other patrons. We were mostly there to enjoy the ambiance this time around, and Six Flags didn’t disappoint. Getting a spiked eggnog drink within a giant igloo was the perfect way to end our evening as we watched the fake snow fall outside.

This was a wonderful experience, and those with kids would also have a blast enjoying the many rides and attractions throughout the park. Don’t forget to say hi to Santa! Holiday in the Park runs from now until January 1st, 2024. Check out the official website for ticket information and event scheduling.
