Independent developer Free Range Games and publisher North Beach Games are happy to announce that The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, the only survival crafting video game set in the Fourth Age of Middle-earth™, the iconic fantasy world created by J.R.R. Tolkien, is available now both digitally and physically for the PlayStation®5 computer entertainment system. The game was released on Windows PC via the Epic Games Store on Oct. 24 and is scheduled to come to the Xbox Series X|S console systems in early 2024. The PS5 release of The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria brings with it various quality-of-life updates, bug fixes, improved overall performance, and more changes that were first introduced on the PC version after its initial launch. There’s no better time to answer the call of Lord Gimli Lockbearer and lead your band of Dwarves on an all-new adventure to reclaim their forgotten kingdom in the darkest deeps of the fabled Mines of Moria.

“We’ve been playing tons of The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria on PlayStation 5 and we’re stunned at how beautiful it looks on big screen 4K TV’s,” said Game Director Jon-Paul Dumont. “We’re looking forward to seeing gamers’ reactions to how well the game plays on PS5. PS5 players will be greeted with version 1.1, so they’ll get to enjoy all the recent additions and improvements we’ve made to the game from the start of their journeys.”
