Independent game studio Jukai Studio and Versus Evil, one of the leading independent video game publishers, has today launched its mystery-driven psychological horror game Stray Souls on PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series S|X and Xbox One for $29.99.

“We’re so excited to finally be able to share the entirety of Stray Souls with everyone after years of hard work,” said Artur Łączkowski, Owner & Director at Jukai Studio. “We’re all huge horror game aficionados, so being able to work with legends like Akira Yamaoka on this was a dream come true. Using Metahuman technology and Unreal Engine 5, we were able to create the kind of pristine horror experience we’ve always wanted, so we can’t wait to hear what you all think of it!”

“When we first saw Stray Souls it was clear to us that Jukai Studios were talented, enthusiastic veterans of horror games, so we were instantly excited to see what kinds of macabre nightmares they had in store,” said Dave Hulegaard, Sr. Brand Manager of Versus Evil. “The full game offers some truly haunting imagery and evocative storytelling, and we’re thrilled that everyone can now experience it – and just in time for Halloween!”

To commemorate this launch, Watcher’s popular YouTube paranormal investigation series Ghost Files recently aired its Stray Souls-inspired episode, in which hosts Ryan Bergara and Shane Madej conduct their first private home investigation for the show. Utilizing some of the same tactics Daniel uses in the game, the Ghoul Boys attempt to make contact with the spirits who haunt both the home and the Duyck family.
