As part of spacefaring MMO EVE Online’s year-long 20th-anniversary celebrations, CCP Games today announced the first opportunity in 10 years for EVE pilots to join the legends of New Eden in being immortalized on the EVE Monument in Reykjavik.

‘Worlds Within A World’ EVE Monument Extension
For the first time in 10 years, players can have their EVE character’s name engraved on the Worlds Within A World EVE Online Monument in Reykjavík, Iceland, etching their mark on the iconic sci-fi spaceship MMO’s history and legacy. The renewed monument will be unveiled to the public for the first time at EVE Fanfest 2023, September 21-23 (tickets are available for purchase on Eventbrite). To be eligible for an engraving, players must have an active Omega account at 11:00 UTC on May 6, 2023. For those pilots already immortalized on the monument, their loyalty for also being an Omega pilot on 6 May 2023 will be additionally honored with a prestigious titan chevron icon next to their name.

Constructed in 2014, Worlds Within A World is an outdoor sculpture by the artist Sigurður Guðmundsson, standing over five meters tall and consisting of two main elements facing each other through a highly polished stainless steel surface that reflects and mirrors the elements and the landscape. On the left side of the model stands a dark aluminum structure with a quote from the EVE Universe and on the right, a dark granite facial figure representing the game’s players.

Capsuleer Day Celebrations

Warp into EVE Online for anniversary-themed events and rewards, including the reveal of The Fabric of New Eden Mosaic and a special fireworks show at Jita 4-4 on May 6.
