Van Gogh’s paintings are paired with the inspiration and story behind each masterpiece. These words serve not only as a clue themselves to solve the interior of the puzzle, but also as a way to learn about the famed Impressionist painter’s work and life.

“Van Gogh’s Early Years” gallery explores his first works, chronologically cataloging his growth as a young artist. Next, play through the “Van Gogh in Paris” gallery to see and learn about his colorful works as he began to further develop his signature art style. More galleries will be released in the game throughout 2023, which is also the 50th anniversary of the Van Gogh Museum.

The Van Gogh Museum galleries in Illustrated go along with hundreds of puzzles based on the artwork and stories of more than 20 contemporary artists beginning Friday, Jan. 13 exclusively on Apple Arcade for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.
