Watch the New We Happy Few Story Trailer:

Set in retrofuturistic 1960s England, players will find a city ravaged by war and rebuilt by delusionally happy people. Everything appears joyful in Wellington Wells, including its roads, its people, and its omnipresent television personality: Uncle Jack! But, it’s actually a world on the brink of collapse. We Happy Few will be available on August 10, 2018 for Xbox One, Xbox One X (with HDR and 4K support), PC, PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®4 Pro (with HDR and 4K support) for the suggested retail price of $59.99 USD / £49.99 GBP / €69.99 EUR.

Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass E3 2018 Screenshots

June 10, 2018 Cult classic Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass has revealed the first details of the game ahead of its demos at E32018 and the first screenshots.

The long-standing Croteam series is expanding in a huge way in the fourth iteration while staying true to the run-backwards-and-shoot core gameplay. The game is still a linear experience, but using new Croteam-developed engine tech, the game has expanded to much, muuuuuch bigger environments with legions (no, dude, legions) of enemies you’ll have to wipe out with a variety of insane weaponry.

As revealed in the trailer, you’ll have access to vehicles (did you say “bullet proof popemobile”?) and friends – companions will no longer appear only in cut-scenes, they will be taking part of the action. So get ready to get down and dirty with Rodriguez, Jones Hellfire and the rest of the crew.

More will be revealed this week so stay tuned, but in the meantime check out the first screenshots for the long-awaited Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass.

Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass is coming later this year to PC and consoles.

This novel vision of the post-apocalyptic experience will bring everything players would expect from a new, radically improved installment in their favorite series, in addition to groundbreaking innovations:

“We are very close to our community, and we’ve clearly heard their requests for the new game. I know we kept them waiting, so I’m more than excited to finally announce: Dying Light 2 is coming” — said Pawel Marchewka, Techland CEO. “Dying Light 2 will be a truly bold sequel, combining the much loved Dying Light DNA with completely new ways to play. For the first time in the franchise, players will have the power to decide the fate of a decaying metropolis with their own choices and actions. Across the story, the melee combat, the parkour movement, and other aspects of the game, we’re giving players a completely new level of freedom. ”

Dying Light 2 was announced on-stage by acclaimed game writer Chris Avellone, who is a narrative designer for the game and co-author of its unique setting of the Modern Dark Ages.

The reveal was accompanied by the Announcement Trailer:

Dying Light 2 is set to be released on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4. The game is powered by the C-Engine, a new generation of Techland’s in-house technology dedicated to open-world action-adventure and action-RPG games.

A World Premiere Gameplay Trailer that focuses on the exceptional level of a player’s impact on a decaying metropolis, one of the game’s new features, can be found here:

The bold sequel to the open-world phenomenon, Dying Light 2 brings to life a unique post-apocalyptic vision of the Modern Dark Ages – a brutal, bleak and unforgiving reality where you are as likely to perish at the hand of a human as you are by the infected. Make morally grey decisions and witness how they impact the world at multiple levels, shape the transformation of the City, and ultimately decide its fate.

Viotek Announces Xbox One High-Def Gaming Support

SOUTH BEND, IN (June 8, 2018) – Viotek, a brand at the forefront of performance and value in gaming peripherals and other consumer electronics, announces its monitors are optimized to support Microsoft Xbox’s recently upgraded 120hz and Adaptive Sync capabilities.

Viotek’s line of high-definition curved gaming monitors—already a favorite among core PC gamers for features including 1440p resolution, 144hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync compatibility—now allow Xbox users to make the most of the console’s recent updates.

By supporting a 120hz refresh rate and Adaptive Sync (Microsoft’s take on AMD FreeSync), Xbox One S and Xbox One X now allow gamers to experience smoother gameplay in terms of performance and responsiveness, and without tearing or ghosting—image abnormalities that occur when the refresh rate and frame rate are out of sync. But to enjoy those updates, gamers need a compatible display, which is where most televisions fall short.

“Viotek offers gamers the ability to get more out of their Xbox consoles than what most TVs allow,” says Vice President Brett Barbour. “These updates from Microsoft break down a barrier that’s existed between PC and console gaming. Consoles have been somewhat static, but this opens them up to the more core enthusiast market that has largely been relegated to PC gaming, and Viotek is the perfect match.”

Until recently, gaming consoles were typically limited to a 60hz refresh rate, putting them at a considerable disadvantage to the performance PC systems are capable of.

Worth noting is that since Xbox uses HDMI output, resolution will be reduced to 1080p (from 1440p) while operating at 120hz due to the inherent bandwidth of the interface. And unlike TVs, not all gaming monitors include built-in speakers.

“We’re only going to continue to see the playing field level out between PC and console gaming, and Viotek is committed to offering the most immersive experience for gamers regardless of platform,” says Barbour.

Viotek’s FreeSync compatible monitors range in price from $290 to $599 and in size from 24 to 35 inches. The GN27D is $20 off now through Friday, June 15 in honor of Father’s Day.
