Necromunda: Underhive Wars New Cinematic Trailer

PARIS — June 4, 2020 — Focus Home Interactive and Games Workshop® have released a new cinematic trailer for the third-person, turn-based strategy RPG Necromunda: Underhive Wars, giving you a unique look at the Warhammer 40,000 universe’s infamous Hive World.

The first video game adaptation of Necromunda, the mythical tabletop game, Necromunda: Underhive Wars brings you right up to the action, with an over-the-shoulder view of every epic takedown and battle. The nightmarishly polluted and dangerous Hive City is home to Houses Orlock, Escher and Goliath, each seeking to come out on top.

Dive deep into the twisted tunnels of the Underhive in the game’s compelling story campaign and Salvage Operations, where rival gangs will fight to the bitter end for personal power, wealth, survival and honor. Command, evolve and customize your gangs against the AI or with up to three friends online. The choices — and consequences — are yours, but only the strongest will survive.

TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 Virtual TT Announced

Lesquin, France, June 2 2020 – Because of the current situation, the Tourist Trophy is reinventing itself! NACON and KT Racing, in collaboration with the Isle of Man TT Races, are pleased to announce TT Ride on the Edge 2020, an online event taking place within the video game TT Isle of Man – Ride on The Edge 2 from June 13 to June 25, 2020.

There will be an initial event between eight teams composed of invited competitors from the TT Races and experienced players from June 2 to June 6 as part of the Isle of Man Government’s ‘TT Lock-in’ program of entertainment. Riders who would have been taking part in the TT Races will get the chance to race against each other and win the first virtual version of the famous race. Highlights of each team’s performance can be seen on the official iomttraces.com website and social media channels. Davey Todd, Conor Cummins and Peter Hickman are some of the big TT names who will meet in a unique competition that promotes sportsmanship and fun.

After that, gamers from all over the world who play TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 on PlayStation®4 and PC can enter an open competition and go head to head in an event that runs from June 13 to June 25. They will be competing to win a trip for two to the Tourist Trophy on the Isle of Man in 2021 to meet their heroes. The runner-up will win an official and limited-edition TT 2020 Arai helmet!

The event will consist of three rounds:

  • From June 13 to 17, open qualification on the Circuit of Ireland to select the top 50 players
  • From June 20 to 22, a lap of the Isle of Man to select the top 10 players
  • On June 25, the final battle to win the Senior TT over six laps of the Isle of Man

TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 is a racing simulation that recreates the official and iconic Tourist Trophy competition. The route and Isle of Man environment has been accurately modeled to make the game experience as authentic as possible. In this new edition, KT Racing has also rebuilt the physics from the ground up to create an ultra-realistic riding experience.

Dead Age 2 Postponed Due to COVID-19

June 2, 2020 – Today, publisher Headup announced a slight delay for their rogue-like tactics survival game Dead Age 2. The official statement reads as follows:

“Due to the necessary work adjustments during the COVID-19 lockdown which were necessary to keep everyone at good health, the current version of Dead Age 2 did not quite reach the technical quality standards that the studio and us have set and wanted to achieve for the Early Access Release on June 3rd – we are close but simply not 100% there yet…

As we strive for the highest quality even for an Early Access release and as we feel we also owe this to you, the players, we mutually decided to postpone the Early Access to July 16, 2020 to secure the best possible game experience.

We apologize to everyone who counted down the last couple of weeks. And please believe us: This decision was not easy for us. But striving for excellence, we humbly ask for your understanding in this matter. Thank you for your patience, and rest assured that we can’t wait for you all to get your hands on what has been created over the last three years.”

Paradox Interactive Founds New Studio in Barcelona

STOCKHOLM – June 1, 2020 – Paradox Interactive, a publisher and developer of games that age well, today announced the opening of Paradox Tinto, a new development studio to be located in Barcelona. This is the seventh studio operated by Paradox Interactive, now present in four countries.

Paradox Tinto will start operations in Barcelona in the immediate future under the direction of studio lead Johan Andersson, 25+ year veteran of Paradox Development Studio and original creator of the Europa Universalis video game franchise. Andersson will assemble a small core team to initially oversee ongoing development on Paradox’s iconic grand strategy game, Europa Universalis IV, and later move on to new games in the grand strategy genre. The Music of Dishonored Deluxe Vinyl Box Set Announced

London, 1st June 2020 – As part of Arkane® Studios’ 20th anniversary celebrations, Laced Records has teamed up with Bethesda Softworks® to bring the music of the Dishonored® series to vinyl. This five-disc box set features a curated selection of tracks by original composer Daniel Licht, and other contributors, from the soundtracks to Dishonored, Dishonored 2, and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider™.

The Dishonored series is renowned for its immersive storytelling, unique level design, adaptive combat systems and compelling characters. From the top of Dunwall Tower to the depths of The Void, Daniel Licht’s atmospheric scores have helped immerse players in the shadowy world of Corvo Attano, Emily Kaldwin, Daud, and Billie Lurk.

The track selection, which was put together with input from Arkane Studios, includes fan-favourite songs from throughout the series, including “The Drunken Whaler”, “Silver and Dust”, “Brigmore Lullaby”, and “Born in the Month of Darkness”. In addition, the box set features a ten-track tribute album of new music by musician Benjamin Shielden, inspired by original composer Daniel Licht and the world of Dishonored.

All 68 tracks have been specially mastered for vinyl and will be pressed onto five audiophile-quality, heavyweight 180g ‘Sea Blue’ discs. These will be housed in spined inner sleeves that slip into a deluxe rigid case, with sleeve artwork created by Arkane Studios’ art team.
