Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood Cinematic Trailer

Lesquin, France, June 11, 2020 – NACON and Cyanide are pleased to release a cinematic trailer for Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood, which introduces the world the game takes place in.

Watch the cinematic trailer for Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood now:

The video conveys the depth and complexity of the hero’s story and highlights the aggressive exploitation of nature by humans.

Cahal has one goal: to rescue his daughter. But to accomplish this he must also confront the deadly threat of a corrupt corporation that is poisoning the world: Endron, a petroleum subsidiary of the megacorporation Pentex.

Because Cahal can transform into a wolf, he can see what common mortals can’t and therefore exposes the true, corrupt nature of Endron and its devastating operations. Faced with its wanton destruction of nature, concealed by the hypocrisy of a “greenwashing” advertising campaign, the rage within Cahal – one of the game’s core mechanics – transforms him into a werewolf so he can wage war against corrupting supernatural forces.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is the first action-RPG game adapted from the eponymous horror franchise. Mature, brutal, and complex, it invites the player to embody Cahal throughout his quest of bloody redemption. He’ll play an essential role in the great war led by the Garous against Pentex, whose activities are devastating the natural world.

Meet us at NACON CONNECT on July 7 to discover the first gameplay trailer of Werewolf : The Apocalypse – Earthblood

Rhythm FPS Metal: Hellsinger Announced

OSLO, Norway – June 11th, 2020 – Next year will have you shoot demons and devils to the beat of headbanging metal music, as developer The Outsiders and publisher Funcom are proud to announce the upcoming rhythm FPS Metal: Hellsinger.

Metal: Hellsinger is a rhythm FPS, where your ability to shoot on beat will increase your power and intensify the music. Featuring an original soundtrack with vocals from metal icons such as Matt Heafy (Trivium) and Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Metal: Hellsinger innovates both the rhythm and FPS genre with layered music. Each level will have its own song, and every song will be divided into multiple layers. Your performance will impact how many layers of the song will be played at a time, starting with atmospheric background music, and ending with powerful metal anthems.

“This gives the player an incentive to stay on beat, because the experience becomes so intense and so powerful that you want to keep it that way,” explains Funcom Chief Creative Officer Joel Bylos. “I knew that Dave and The Outsiders know how to make shooters, but I have never seen anything done quite like this before. It’s a very ambitious project and one we are proud to be a part of,” he says.

The Outsiders’ Creative Director David Goldfarb has previously been Lead Designer on Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3, as well as Game Director on Payday 2. He says he has never had more fun creating a game, than he has with Metal: Hellsinger.

“We want to make this the most metal game ever,” says David Goldfarb. “Or get as far as we possibly could, anyway! To make something that felt like a tribute to the epic imagination and joy and fury of metal – not just in terms of music, but art style, characters, lore. Trying to do it has been an amazing joy and we can’t wait to get it into the world for people to play,” he says.

Metal: Hellsinger is due to release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X in 2021. The game will be optimized for next-gen consoles, with improved visuals, up to 120 frames per second, and drastically reduced loading time.

See www.metalhellsinger.com or the game’s official Steam page for more information.

GTFO – The Vessel Gameplay Trailer

June 11, 2020 – In December last year, Swedish independent game developer 10 Chambers Collective – formed in 2015 by nine industry veterans known for titles such as PAYDAY: The Heist and PAYDAY 2 – released their first game GTFO, a 4-player co-op action/horror FPS, in Early Access. It has been described as “Left 4 Dead meets Aliens”, and today it’s getting a massive update as a part of their Rundown concept, where the game is regularly updated with new expeditions (i.e. maps, scenarios, enemies, etc.) that replace the previous ones. They’re launching the new update, named “The Vessel”, together with an action-packed trailer showcasing the new environment, and teasing an all-new horrifying enemy whose sounds are apparently recorded by one of the team member’s younger family members. The trailer asks the question “Will you make it?” – a valid one, as very few players made it through the last GTFO Rundown alive.

GTFO is a 4-player co-op action/horror FPS game, made for gamers looking for a hardcore challenge. The game takes place in a terrifying underground facility called “the Complex”, where your team’s survival relies on your ability to communicate, coordinate – and count your bullets.

“GTFO has always been intended for ambitious gamers with a masochistic streak, which is why we have a warning on our product page to not buy it unless you’re up for a real challenge”, says Ulf Andersson, founder of 10 Chambers. “With the new Rundown, however, we have done some stabilization to also make it a bit more accessible for players who might not call themselves hardcore. GTFO will always be difficult, but it should never be unfair. We hope this update will welcome many new players to our friendly and active community.”

Besides introducing a new environment, a stockpile of new weapons, and an all-new enemy, this update will begin to unravel some of the mystery around GTFO’s story. Our community has been theorizing the game’s storyline and The Vessel will provide more story-related details.

“The Complex contains clues as to what happened there, and the new Rundown will allow you to sleuth out more of these and start uncovering the mysteries of the GTFO universe”, says Simon Viklund, member of 10 Chambers. “To help with fleshing out GTFO’s story, we have brought on Adam Gascoine, who has previously worked on DOOM, DOOM Eternal, and The Last of Us.”

GTFO is currently in Early Access, but on track for Version 1.0 being ready sometime at the beginning of next year.

“The Rundowns is a perfect tool to experiment with different concepts and ideas for what will go into Version 1.0”, says Ulf Andersson. “It’s a huge help that the game is built on the Unity game engine, as it’s such a great environment to make prototypes and try out crazy ideas. I would say the tools offered by the Unity engine are fundamental for such a small development team to pull off the Rundown concept.”

GTFO already has a very active community, especially on Discord where the official GTFO server is one of the largest on the platform with over 185.000 members. This Discord server is used for people to find team members as well as discussing the many mysteries of GTFO or helping new players understand the game. With Rundown 003 – The Vessel, the game will also get Steam Trading Cards, making it possible for players to collect and trade GTFO themed cards.

This new update, named The Vessel (Rundown #003), is now available to everyone that owns GTFO Early Access. GTFO Early Access is available on Steam for $34,99, but to celebrate the update it’s right now 20% off!

World of Warships Gets Revamped Dockyard Mechanics and More

AUSTIN, TX (June 10, 2020) – Today World of Warships releases Update 0.9.5, allowing industrious players to construct two German ships: VI Admiral Graf Spee and VIII Odin, directly within the Hamburg Port Dockyard. The new update will also see a number of changes to the Soviet Cruiser branch, as well as bring two new premium ships: Siegfried and Ägir.

Dasha presents a video of Update 0.9.5, which can be viewed here:

The updated Dockyard mechanic is the main feature of Update 0.9.5 and allows players to construct the VI Admiral Graf Spee in “War Paint” camouflage, as well as obtain the VIII Odin heavily discounted upon completion. This ship’s construction is spread out across 20 shipbuilding phases of which 18 can be finished by completing Directives. The remaining two phases can be settled by spending Doubloons. Additional information about the Dockyard can be viewed here:

In addition, the Soviet branch will grow with new ships and see additional changes. The Tier X Moskva will become a special ship, obtainable by spending the in-game Coal resource. Moskva’s place will be taken by the light cruiser Tier X Alexander Nevsky. The Tier V Kirov becomes a premium ship with the Tier V Kotovsky replacing her as a light cruiser.

Update 0.9.5 also revamps the Armory interface by improving navigation between menus and sections, and adding the possibility to preview ships and camouflages in the Port. The combat mission interface has also been improved significantly and has added new challenging “OR” conditions. This allows players to choose their own path in fulfilling mission objectives and getting rewards, such as being able to select between earning 10,000 Base XP “or” to destroy 10 enemy ships.

Furthermore, from June 24 to July 6, the Twelfth Ranked Sprint will take place. It will be fought in an 8 vs 8 format, playing Tier VIII ships in Domination mode. Two new Clan Brawls will also be available.

Further details on the Update 0.9.5 can be found here: https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/game-updates/update-095-dockyard/
