JACKSON, NJ — August 3, 2015 — Six Flags Great Adventure’s animal care team is celebrating the birth of two playful, female California sea lion pups to two first-time moms at the world’s largest theme park.
Piper, born June 5, and Ridley, born June 18, are both high-spirited and full of energy, according to Jessica Peranteau, senior supervisor of animal training.
Piper shares a birthday with her father Kenobi. Along with her lively spirit, Piper is very playful and she seems to enjoy blowing bubbles into the water, Peranteau said. Mother Dichali does an excellent job making sure Piper does not get herself into any trouble.
“She has no qualms about sassing the trainers or her mother through vocalizations. She is exploring her independence at an early age,” Peranteau said.
Ridley is the smallest sea lion pup born at Six Flags Great Adventure, weighing in at 15 lbs. She is very energetic, and her mother Ella lets Ridley have her fun, Peranteau noted.
She is named after the endangered Ridley sea turtle species, because of her unique flipper movements. The pup tends to move her fore flippers side-to-side rather than up-and-down, which reminds her trainers of a sea turtle’s walk.
Sea lion pups are not competent swimmers when born. According to Peranteau, Ridley’s swimming proficiency makes her unique. “She finds sliding down the hill on our stage especially rewarding and fun,” Peranteau added.
Piper and Ridley are expected to reach 110 to 220 lbs. when full grown. Guests can see the pups and their mothers at the park’s SeaFari Theater in The Golden Kingdom section of the theme park. Guests can also visit California sea lion Anoki and her year-old pup Magoo, the first sea lion born at the theme park, plus six adorable and mischievous Asian small-clawed otters.

Throughout development of Corpse of Discovery, Creative Director Chip Sineni’s goal has been to dissect and examine the tough balance between work and personal life. He drew closely from his own experiences, even incorporating his own family into the game through voiceovers and imagery so he could spend more time with them during the game’s development.

Each of the three futuristic military factions not only holds an inventory of unique and specialized military equipment and units, but also access to a variety of end-game oriented super-weapons, featuring the latest in conventional and prototypical boom.
Tactical super-weapons are a viable option for defensive players who wish to exhaust the enemy’s economy while they stockpile tactical weaponry rounds for a surprise strike, as well as players rich in the game’s primary resources to finish off their opponent with a bang.
To defend yourself from your enemies’ tactical strikes, one anti-super weapon unit is also available per faction.
The US dominate with the Peacekeeper missile silo holding the LGM-118, and defend with the MIM-104 Patriot launcher, unlockable under DEFCON 1. The Omega Blitzer is the weapon of choice for the Chimera, a multi-shot long-range rail-gun with a wide spread. Uniquely, their defense is mobile under the name of the Antey, a mobile anti-tactical weapon. As for the Cartel… we’ll be learning more about them during Gamescom 2015 in only a few days!
No nuclear superpower would be complete without upgrades, so you’ll be able to upgrade your anti-tactical facilities by increasing aspects such as damage, range, and accuracy. For example, the Antey launcher tubes can be upgraded to double the number of tubes for extra security.

FreeStyle Music Festival – August 8
TriniFly Promotions and Overdrive Productions team up to bring the first-ever FreeStyle Music Festival to the Plymouth Rock Assurance® Arena. Concert features live performances by legendary freestyle artists TKA, Judy Torres, Coro, Noel, Freedom Williams of C&C Music Factory and more.
