Frostpunk: Console Edition Launch Trailer

Warsaw, Poland – Oct. 11th, 2019 — 11 bit studios proudly announce their best-selling, award-winning PC hit, Frostpunk, is out now as the Frostpunk: Console Edition on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A well-weighed mix of post-apocalyptic survival, city-builder, and society simulation, the console edition was rebuilt from the ground up setting the new benchmark for strategy on consoles.

Frostpunk: Console Edition is available today on Microsoft and Sony digital stores for $29.99, and at retail for $34.99. Thanks to a partnership with Merge Games Ltd, the Signature Edition for collectors launches at $44.99 featuring a beautiful art book, CD soundtrack, enamel pins and more.

Frostpunk puts the player in the role of a 19th-century leader of what is possibly the last community on Earth, living in the last city still standing. Ruling the city’s population, maintaining and building up its infrastructure, and developing steam-powered technologies to survive an apocalyptic winter are tasks not easily accomplished.

A strategy game at heart — a genre often relegated only to PC players — 11 bit studios aimed to create a strategic experience that plays naturally on a controller while still being engaging and thrilling. The team’s ambitious goal was to set a new benchmark for strategy games on consoles and they’re confident that’s exactly the goal they achieved.

Moons of Madness Release Date Trailer

OSLO, Norway – Oct 10th, 2019 – Halloween is going to become extra dark and terrifying this year, as publisher Funcom and developer Rock Pocket Games are thrilled to announce that Moons of Madness will launch on PC on October 22nd, 2019. Release date on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is set to January 21st, 2020.

Having already been labeled as “one of the scariest looking games we’ve ever seen” by IGN, cosmic horror game Moons of Madness is bound to bring a chill down the spine of even the toughest horror game fan. You play as Shane Newehart, chief engineer on a research facility on Mars, 140 million miles away from the nearest police station. So, when things start going wrong, you are pretty much on your own. And things will go wrong.

“We wanted to make a game that combines Lovecraftian elements and Mars exploration,” explains Rock Pocket Games CEO Ivan Moen. “And central to a good Lovecraft experience is the battle that goes on in your own mind. You will face external threats, sure, but having to face your inner demons at the same time is what makes this truly terrifying.”

Moons of Madness is set in the same thematic universe as Funcom’s The Secret World, where conspiracies and dark secrets are commonplace. And although The Secret World-players will recognize certain names and themes, playing one is by no means a prerequisite to enjoy the other.

The game will be available on Steam October 22nd for $24.99/€24.99 (pricing may differ across territories).

Razer Unveils Raion Arcade Fightpad for PS4 and PC

SAN FRANCISCO, USA – RazerTM, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, today announced the Raion, an arcade fightpad for PS4™ and PC, with top tier tournament features giving players the control and accuracy of a fullsize fightstick in the palm of their hands.

Designed from the ground up for the fighting game community, the Raion features a 6-button layout on the face of the fightpad, a tactile 8-way D-pad, and the traditional shoulder and trigger buttons. This layout offers a greater variety of input options for both standard and ‘claw’ grip style players. A competition mode disables extra buttons to ensure uninterrupted gaming and the PS4™ touchpad has all the console functions players expect from their controller.

Fighting game fans are some of the most passionate and dedicated players in gaming and demand the absolute best from their equipment. With matches often being determined by split second decisions, having the very best controller can be the difference between winning or a KO.

With this in mind, the Razer Raion has been designed with the help and feedback from members of the fighting game community, which has resulted in a dedicated controller that combines the best aspects from arcade sticks with those of traditional controllers.

“The Razer Raion gives the type of control and consistency that I need when playing fighting games,” said Mark “MarkMan” Juliofighting game specialist and part of Team Razer. “The great comfort and response with the D-Pad and action buttons means I can fully concentrate on enjoying the game and hitting my combos.”

Arcade stick inspired face button layout

Inspired by the layout commonly found on arcade sticks, the Razer Raion’s 6 face buttons are slightly larger than the industry standard and optimally spaced, making hitting those combos easier in the heat of battle.

To ensure every tap and press of the face buttons is excuted flawlessly, the Razer Raion uses Razer’s Yellow Mechanical Switches for ultra-fast, accurate actuation. Built to have a staggering 80-million tap lifecycle, the same industry-leading feature found in our renowned keyboards, the Razer Yellow Switch gives instantaneous and positive response in the most demanding of competitive fights.

Mecha-Tactile 8-Way D-Pad for supreme precision

The Razer Raion features the Razer Mecha-tactile 8-way D-pad, giving players the ability to execute fast, precise diagonal inputs, which is essential in fighting games where perfect execution of quarter circle and half circle motions are often vital for winning matches.

The hyper-responsive 8-way D-pad also has a satisfying cushioned feeling with tactile feedback allowing players to better feel the inputs needed while executing combos. The higher and more defined rate of feedback gives a better sense of control, reducing the amount of missed moves when it counts the most.

PRICE & AVAILABILITY

USD $99.99 / €109.99 MSRP

The Razer Raion is now available for purchase in Europe, Asia-Pacific, China, Australia and New Zealand. It will be available soon in the USA and Canada.
