StarRupture – the second, original IP from Creepy Jar, has sold over half-a-million copies since its Early Access launch on January 6th, 2026. The game has been well received by players with an 83% review score on Steam, to go along with over 100-thousand followers and 935,000 wishlists. StarRupture also reached second place on the Steam global bestseller list and remained in the top 10 throughout the week after launch.
“The interest in our game remains high. At its peak, StarRupture was played by over 42 thousand players at the same time. Within just 11 days after its release, we reached the threshold of 500 thousand copies of StarRupture sold on Steam, and the gross sales of the game, including the sales of accompanying products on the Steam platform, amounted to over USD 8.7 million. These results, in particular in terms of revenues and the number of players, significantly exceeded our expectations, which had increased anyway after the intensive end of the marketing campaign.” – said Grzegorz Piekart, Member of the Management Board of Creepy Jar S.A.
The launch is only the beginning for StarRupture, and there are tons of updates planned throughout its Early Access journey and beyond. You can get a glimpse of some of them in the Early Access Roadmap, including an expanded map, controller support, achievements, Frost Wave, and the game’s end game.
“We have a good game and a great basis to move on. We have achieved this with Green Hell and we believe that we will do the same with StarRupture. Already after such a short time since the release we can see that in terms of gameplay, StarRupture achieves similar results to Green Hell – nearly 40% of players spent over 10 hours in each game, also the median playtime is similar for both our productions. According to the published roadmap, we are preparing the first free content update to StarRupture, which we would like to release within the next two or three months. We are also gradually addressing players’ feedback – since the premiere we have already provided two hotfixes that take into account their comments. As we have said many times, early access is an important moment for our productions, but it is still only the beginning of the development of our games. Both the previous playtests and, above all, the premiere itself, confirmed the potential of StarRupture, which we want to maximise.” – says Krzysztof Kwiatek, President of the Management Board of Creepy Jar S.A.
Blending base building, survival, automation, and defensive combat into a single experience, StarRupture pushes players to think fast and plan smart as the environment becomes increasingly dangerous, whether it be from the Vermin assaulting your base or the impending KABOOM of Arcadia-7’s life-giving star, Ruptura, and players can jump in today at a special Early Access launch price of $15.99 USD (20% launch discount untill 1/20/26) before it goes to its regular price of $19.99.
