Following its Early Access launch on October 7, 2025, Seafarer: The Ship Sim is now receiving its first free major content update. The LNG & Bulk Update not only introduces new gameplay mechanics but also adds new ships, random events, and various improvements.
New Cargo Transport Tasks
Since release, players have already transported countless containers across the seas of Seafarer: The Ship Sim as part of their career with Crescentport Logistics. With today’s LNG & Bulk Update, new possibilities are being added – expanding cargo transport to include liquefied natural gas (LNG} and bulk materials.
The newly added ship “Willy” is designed for transporting bulk goods such as sand, while the gas tanker “Nordic Duchess” is the right choice for carrying LNG.
The new Update Trailer showcases both the ships and the new gameplay mechanics in action:
Welcome Aboard, Big Trip
Container shipping also receives an exciting addition. “Big Trip” is joining the game – as the name suggests, it’s the largest container ship in the world of Seafarer.
In addition to bug fixes and ongoing performance optimizations for smoother voyages, the update also includes new random events that bring more variety to the open sea, such as assisting other vessels in distress.
The LNG & Bulk Update, released today, marks the beginning of further upcoming content updates. The official Early Access Roadmap gives a glimpse of the exciting feature of the Ship Simulation.
Seafarer: The Ship Sim is now available for PC in Early Access for $24.99 / £20.99 / 24,99€ (SRP) via Steam and Epic Games Store.
