DECREPIT Game Awards Announcement Trailer

Jämmerdal Games, a new Swedish development studio founded by solo developer Olof Hagelin in his small closet, and publisher Three Friends have announced Decrepit, a dark fantasy first-person souls-like, live at the Game Awards.

In Decrepit, every death drags you back to the dungeons below, stripped of all equipment. Armed with only the knowledge gained from each escape attempt and whatever you can loot from undead inmates and guards, the only path out is learning the castle’s layout before it kills you.

Each run begins in a different cell of the hand-crafted castle, but memorizing the winding halls, unlocking shortcuts and understanding enemy patterns reveals the path to escape. Players must overcome challenging bosses to ascend to each new area, but the real progression is mastery – learning the castle well enough to make each run more efficient than the last.

Inspired by classic first-person action games like Hexen, dungeon crawlers like Eye of the Beholder, and modern souls-likes, Decrepit emphasises spatial mastery over power creep. Keen-eyed explorers will find hidden secrets throughout the castle that provide permanent bonuses. Helpful, but never a replacement for knowledge and execution.

Key gameplay features of Decrepit include:

  • Stamina-Based First-Person Combat – Combat focused on positioning, timing, and mastering weapon movesets. Each weapon has distinct attack patterns – light attacks, heavy strikes. Spells slot naturally into melee openings for strategic combinations. Study enemy telegraphs and exploit openings, or pay the price.
  • Equipment-Based Classes – Classes emerge from equipment you find. You can carry one weapon, one staff, and one armor piece at a time – these three slots define your current build. Collecting matching gear from the same archetype (Mage, Warrior, Rogue, or Shaman) unlocks set bonuses and unique abilities. Adapt to whatever the next slain enemy drops, or commit to hunting down a complete set.
  • Variable Encounters in a Fixed World – The castle layout never changes, but enemy encounters vary. Familiar foes appear in different positions. Rare threats emerge to challenge veterans. Hand-crafted architecture meets dynamic encounters to keep each run tense, even when you think you know every corner.
  • Master the Layout, Unlock the Path – Shortcuts stay unlocked. Elevators remain active. Secrets stay found. Early runs feel endless. Later, you’re sprinting through sections that once took twenty minutes, heading straight for the challenge ahead. The castle compresses as you learn it.
  • A Decaying Medieval Prison – From suffocating dungeons to rain-soaked courtyards, explore interconnected areas in a castle where the living have been replaced by the dead. Prisoners still wear their chains. Guards still patrol their posts. Even servants who died mid-task now attack from inside whatever confined them. The world is oppressive, but it follows rules – learn them, and they become tools for survival.

Decrepit knows exactly what it is and doesn’t apologize for it,” says Albert Säfström, Co-Founder and Producer at Three Friends. “It’s a tightly designed challenge with no filler, no bloat – just you, the castle, and the skills you’ve earned. It’s not for everyone but there’s a certain kind of player who’s been waiting for this. If you know, you know.”

Star Wars: Shadow of Maul Comic Series Sets Up Shadow Lord Animated Series

One of the most feared villains of the galaxy far, far away returns next year in Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord, a new animated series set after the events of the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. In March, Marvel Comics will pave the way for the Disney+ series with STAR WARS: SHADOW OF MAUL, a five-issue prequel series written by Marvel superstar Benjamin Percy, who wrote the Sith Lord in last year’s Star Wars: Darth Maul – Black, White & Red series, and drawn by Madibek Musabekov, known for his acclaimed work on the recent Star Wars: Jedi Knights series.

Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord will reveal Maul’s plan to rebuild his criminal syndicate on Janix, a planet untouched by the Empire. STAR WARS: SHADOW OF MAUL introduces this new setting and cast, including Captain Brander Lawson and his partner, a droid nicknamed Two Boots, as they investigate shadowy dealings on Janix.

Welcome to Janix, a neon-lit, shadow-soaked maze of a planet that lies beyond the reach of the Empire. Captain Brander Lawson is doing his best to navigate the law in a lawless territory. He’s joined by his partner, a droid nicknamed Two Boots, as they face off against scheming crime bosses…and as the looming threat of the shadow lord, Maul, nears!

“I’ve said it before: I’m a giant Star Wars nerd,” Percy shared. “My previous experience writing in a galaxy far, far away—Darth Maul – Black, White, and RedBoba Fett – Black, White, and Red—was an absolute delight. But those were one-shots. Flirtations with the franchise. With Shadow of Maul, I’m able to share a more expansive story about one of my favorite characters, while also exploring a fresh angle on the Star Wars universe.

“This is a sci-fi story, but it’s also a crime story,” he continued. “It’s a story about cops, criminal syndicates, a neon-lit, shadow-alleyed city that hides many sins and secrets. I’m teamed up with an artist who’s already a Star Wars veteran and legend: Madibek Musabeckov. His art is gritty and grounded and perfectly matches the noir tone. We’ve been in close contact with Lucasfilm—reading scripts and watching episodes of this fantastic new animated series—and our story will serve as a prelude to what viewers will see play out on the screen.”

Post Malone’s Murder Circus Encore Gameplay Trailer

Having recently celebrated welcoming its 10 millionth player, Crytek launches Post Malone’s Murder Circus Encore today, a massive in-game Event to its acclaimed extraction shooter, Hunt: Showdown 1896. The Event, in collaboration with 9x Diamond Certified artist and avid Hunt superfan Post Malone, plunges the bayou back into a reign of carnivalesque terror. The Event arrives alongside the comprehensive Update 2.6, delivering a wealth of new content, long-requested features, and extensive game improvements. Post Malone’s Murder Circus Encore is live now on PC, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Event will run until February 9th 2026.

See the gameplay trailer now:

The stage is set for a new chaotic struggle. The former Ringmaster, portrayed by Post Malone, has been reborn as the brutal Disciple of Death, seeking to reclaim his Corrupted domain. With the key to his victory—the fabled HelioStone artifact—still lost, Hunters are drawn into a fresh conflict where old foes and new alliances collide.

Introducing Story Challenges and Player Profile Customization
An exciting new gameplay system, Story Challenges, provides narrative-driven gameplay. These thematic chapters allow players to explore the game’s rich lore and Hunter backstories while earning rewards. The feature is launching with two stories: the time-limited On the Winds of Midwinter, about Krampus, and the permanent free story An Acquired Taste, which follows a Hunter named Tennessee Morgan. This feature adds a new dimension to progression with an ever-expanding library of Story Challenges.

Players can now showcase their accomplishments with the new Player Profile Customization. This system allows hunters to display a unique identity through avatars, titles, cosmetic frames, achievement badges, and stat trackers, visible in lobbies, on last match and the death screens. Every foe and friend now has a distinct identity, and your achievements are clearly displayed to rival hunters. We can’t wait to see the unique combinations players will come up with!

New Gameplay Dynamics
Update 2.6 introduces the Status Effect “Wet,” adding a new layer of strategic depth. Hunters traversing deep water become soaked, making them harder to ignite and improving their health recovery at the cost of louder footsteps. The new Water Bottle throwable item allows players to strategically apply this effect, extinguish fires, and even neutralize the fiery Immolator enemies. But don’t try dousing an oil fire with water unless you are looking to get burned.

A Fiercer Foe and Event Traits
The terrifying two-headed Ursa Mortis monster has returned, but this is not a simple reanimation. It is an evolution. With reinforced vitality, increased damage, and devastating new tricks, it now stalks its prey with terrifying cunning. It can plow through barriers, is immune to explosive stagger, and its chilling roar can prematurely trigger traps.

With the Circus’s return, players can pledge allegiance to multiple Troupes simultaneously to unlock unique Event Traits using Pledge Marks. These include:

Modiphius Announces Fallout: Power Play Card Game

Publisher of tabletop RPGs, wargames, and board games, Modiphius Entertainment Ltd. has today launched the pre-order for the card game, Fallout: Power Play.

Available for pre-order from today, Thursday 11th December, for £23 / $30 / €25, Fallout: Power Play is a light strategy card game for 2-4 players designed by Resurrectionist Games.

In Fallout: Power Play, each player takes control of one of four iconic Factions from the Fallout Universe; the Brotherhood, Raiders, the Enclave and Super Mutants. They compete to gain control over various locations within the Wasteland, placing Agents to gain influence and undertaking Quests to gain bonuses throughout. Players can also make use of Power Play cards to quickly shift the dynamic of a game, disrupting the plans of their opponents and cementing their control.

But, all good plans fold when exposed to the Wasteland, as each turn a randomly drawn Wasteland card brings an unpredictable change to the game; from sudden atomisation to a surly deathclaw rampaging through your home base! Quick to learn but hard to master, Fallout: Power Play encourages players to play politics, embody their Faction, and do all they can to control the Wasteland.

Pre-orders will ship in January 2026.

Chris Birch, co-founder of Modiphius, said: “We’ve been making immersive Fallout tabletop games for years – we started with the Fallout wargame experience, and then came the tabletop RPG. But for those wanting a quick, fun taster of Fallout, we’re excited to be bringing them Fallout: Power Play – perfect for playing with friends on their coffee table.”

Ben Maunder, game designer at Resurrectionist Games, said: “We’ve had so much fun bringing Power Play to the tabletop. Breaking down the world of Fallout into a card game has been a really interesting challenge, but I feel we’ve pulled off the sudden chaos, violence and unique ‘political’ landscape of Fallout.”
